I am running my group through the adventure. When they got into the room with the three vats of concentrated oozing plague, the warmage decided (after being told not to use fireball) that an ice storm would be just the thing! I gave the vats fortitude saves, under the assumption that a sudden drop in temperature would be bad for the metal plus being pelted by bludgeoning hailstones - I don't think they were built to withstand an elemental tempest.
Two of them shattered and oozed all over the place, splitting the party up as some of them made a mad dash for safety and one got plagued. Sadly, it was the monk already paralyzed by the ghoul touch so he was immune. :(
This time around, at least, the party (specifically, the warmage) did more to introduce more deadly danger to themselves than I did! They practically did my job for me.. ;)
