So a pseudodragon (as written) would have an ECL of 5.
Hmm says 3 there, so not sure how that gets to 5.
That being said, I cant see a base PD being superior, nor even equivalent to, a 3rd level character, which I guess is why they are CR1. I'd be surprised to last out 2 rounds toe to toe melee against a tank class at L1. I guess PF mechanices are quite different to 3.5.
All that aside, I guess that's what negotiating with a GM is for.

It's 3 plus its two hit dice. Adding those together end up as ECL 5.

OK thats a pretty significant departure from PF rules. I never played 3.5 so thats all new to me.
Are they suggesting that a base CR1 creature is equivalent to a 5th level character? That really doesn't sound right.
How do they then align that with Drow or Assimar, for example that have the same CR?
Anyhow - appreciate the views; we'd best let this thread drop and stop the cross chat :)
