Soothing Performance and Bloody Skeletons

Rules Questions

Does Soothing Performance prevent the reanimation of a bloody skeleton that has been reduced to zero hit points?

The music effect is a little strange, to me. It takes a spell that's typically target-limited and applies it to all creatures within 30 feet, but they have to hear and see the caster. If the skeletons are currently "dead" I guess that would mean it doesn't affect them?

Silver Crusade

I always saw "dead" bloody skeletons as pretty much like their counterparts in Castlevania. They're really still "alive", just inactive at the moment.

Even if I didn't view them that way, I'd allow Soothing Performance to work. It's such a cool and evocative solution I couldn't turn it down.

I'd allow it, too. You're using positive energy, and it even makes sense flavour-wise, as you soothingly sing them to eternal sleep.
