Who are you again?

I ask myself that daily.

That's a good start then. Sometimes I just go full on brain dead mode until I sleep again... :\

I have had those days. Mostly anymore it is the exact opposite, my brain is running full steam ahead but it feels like my body will not cooperate.

I've heard that sometime around 35 years or so that people do this spontaneously. Anecdotal, but sometimes I wonder.

People tell me (when I have my full beard that is) that I look like Kevin Smith. I do not take that as a compliment, though I guess he's not that bad looking a guy. :\

He's a cutie, but not as cute as you.

You both have those deep brown velvety eyes, though. Yum.

Moved into my new apartment this morning, got the cable set up this afternoon, unpacked the laptop this evening.

I know how hard it is to wait for that kind of news. I hope that you hear something soon and that everything went well.

Thanks Lynora and E7. The surgery went well, he's awake and seems to be ok. They're going to be more tests and x-rays to see if there was anything they missed, man cancer sucks.

My wife is staying in cali an extra week or so to help her(our) aunt recover after a cyst has been removed from her colon. I'm not sure where her cancer is, but that it has spread has been something of a shock to the family, although we are all grateful that the cyst was removed without a problem. Glad to hear your dad is okay too.

Being a life long resident of SC, I understand how you feel. The sad part is I was telling Solnes last night this would turn into an anti-gun bash AZ thing with some folks.

Enjoy your coffee and hope you roll some crits during your game today.

Group should be heading to Misgivings today, a haunted mansion, and the Ranger just picked up Undead as his second Favored Enemy..... this should be fun.

Yep the gun debate is crap. it could have been a wack job with a sword or a bow. The only thing the gun changes is the speed with which you kill.

On a personal note, I'm beginning to realize that my good fortune may be stealing luck from family members...

My brother was playing roller hockey and went down, possibly spraining his wrist (he won't go to a doctor). My cousin went in for some routine surgery the other day and they kept her an extra night because she was coming down with a cold in recovery. Her mom, my 90+ year old aunt, went to visit her, came home and slipped on the ice outside her house, breaking her wrist. The cousin's husband brought her back from the ER, left the house, then slipped on the SAME ice. After going to visit his wife, he went to the ER and found out his arm's busted.

Note to self: Don't win Powerball.

Well, to be fair, it also increases the chance of hurting and killing innocent bystanders. If he used a sword or bow, chances are he wouldn't have killed Christina Taylor Greene (Born on 9/11. Yes, the 9/11)

Howdy folks. Gamed last night - a Pathfinder game my buddy runs. Didn't get home until late and then didn't sleep well, so I'm pretty wired now.

We also recorded another episode of the Flagons and Dragons Podcast. This was the first one that I've been part of since sometime in October. We discussed character death/party death and how it's dealt with. Oh, and some dude named Captain Awesome (if that makes it in the final product).

Now we're gonna go buy something for use when the kidlet arrives.

Happy PAIZO birthday to me! TODAY is the one year anniversary of when I first downloaded the conversion guide to investigate the differences between 3.5 and Pathfinder.

Boy, did I not know at that time what I was getting into.

In one year...

* Tordek has made 547 posts (754 including aliases)
* started GM'ing a Rise of the Runelords game for a group of great people he didn't know until he met them in April through the Gamer Connection forum. (We are just starting book 3)
* started GM'ing Kingmaker for his wife and two of his three sons. (We are close to finishing book 2)
* began playing in two active PBPs
* played in two PFS games and registered (with his wife!) to play in three PFS sessions at OwlCon in two weeks. (His first game convention.)
* killed three rogues, a ranger, a cleric, a paladin, and a djinni and hopes to kill a certain fighter in 2011 ;)
* become a subscriber and is slowly back filling all of the AP's he missed in his dark ages before he saw the light

All after just beginning to play DnD in the summer of 2009 well after I turned 40. I guess you CAN teach an old dog new tricks.

Thank you to Paizo for producing great product and treating your customers/fans so well.

Thank you to all of the message board posters (especially the FAWTLy ones) who have taught me so much about RPGs in such a short time.

Here's to another great gaming year!

~sighs~ I will not scream in rage. ~sighs~ I am on call this weekend and I had a callout at one of my offices. I get there and swipe my keycard. Nothing. ~Swipe, swipe, swipe, curse, curse, curse~ It turns out that they can't do anything about it until tomorrow at the earliest. ~curses~ Oh well.

It's not just the boards. It's the hype factor. You get people angry to get ratings at the expense of someone else's life and/or physical well being.

I wish that comments on news articles didn't appear with the article. Knee jerk reaction is bad for everyone. :\
