MUINMOS STAR SYSTEM SET: MINI-ADVENTURE by Michael O. Holland

As security for hire, the PCs should expect gravitational anomalies and roving space goblins. Those are

just the standard occupational hazards. But the icy world of Muinmos 6 was supposed to be uninhabited, and the distress signal coming from its surface shouldn't be possible. Conspiracy, corruption, and kidnapped aliens can mean only one thing: this simple scientific mission is going to be anything but simple.

Star System Sets offer new planets to explore, dangers to overcome, lifeforms to study, and cultures to document. Modular enough for any campaign, each double-sided card presents a complete ruleset for ease of reference, allowing GMs to fill in the blank spots on their star charts.

Card types include Race, Planet, Character Options, Equipment, Monsters, and Mini-Adventure. Each set is available à la carte or as a six-card bundle.

The adventure is “The Fate of SKL-167H”, intended for 4 PCs. It comes with a solid map (sans scale noted) and reprints the data leech monster swarms. It's penned Michael O. Holland.

Okay, just GMs around? Great! The PCs are sent as bodyguards to help scan a gravitational anomaly with their scientist in charge somewhat obsessed with the shapeshifting Videssians. The PCs find the abandoned ship, get to explore it and may save a member of the weird species. Returning him home will net the PCs a grateful, if weird ally.

Verdict: Fun little sidetrek that introduces the critters and themes of the system. 4 stars.
