In other words, we printed every Pathfinder article that met the bar from the submissions, and I would like to see more.
There's also some excellent 3.5 content and systemless content (Ninjas, Dragon Lair, War Wagons, etc).
EDIT: Under the do-not-miss category, I'd definitely add Tim "Siege of the Spider Eaters" Connors article on Telkari, the Inevitable of Death. Wonderfully twisted take on the inevitables.

The blend seems pretty good to me, though I recognize there will be those that complain about too much 4e. But perhaps I hold that opinion because I really don't differentiate much between the 3.5 articles and the PFRPG articles.

I changed the cover for the print edition this morning after Wolfgang uploaded the correct cover along with the PDF edition.

Hooray! I've been lucky enough to contribute two more illustrations to this issue for the article on enslaved elves. If you have the last issue, they'll go great with the hardworking dwarves. You can set each one next to the other on your coffee table as a reminder of those hard-working demihumans that toil day and night so we don't have to.
Keep it up, Daigle and Todd. I'd love to see your stuff.

Well, that certainly makes me feel better about having my ecology of the elemental article passed over, if you guys were passed over :)
And it had such cool observations about earth glide and cover, too. >:)
While I grit my teeth at edition, I enjoyed reading about the Court of the Shadow Fey, and I love that you got Stephanie Law to do a piece -- a perfect choice. The options for Pf cleric classes are really interesting, as is the Wicked take on elves. Yay, Froghemoth!

We had a LOT of ecologies in the hopper for issue #12, and yet I'd be happy to see more for the Summer issue.

Wolfgang, I was going to shoot you a letter about this, but I'll ask here while I'm thinking about it. Do you have a general policy of 1 article per author per issue?
I have an idea or two I've been kicking around but thought I might ought to wait 3 months to submit them for your consideration.
Edit: Also, do you care to comment on how long you might keep some articles in the hopper from issue to issue? I ask not only out of personal self-interest but because these insights into the magazine are always interesting to me.

Having completed reading most of issue #12 I can say that I do like the shadow elves and the froghemoth ecology.

Somehow, I think going to a bimonthly format might just drive Wolfgang insane.

Seriously, I would love for the magazine to reach the level of success that allows for hiring enough staff to add 50% more issues to every year.
To hire that staff, though, the magazine needs more subscribers or newsstand readers. Please do spread the word and make sure KQ is carried at your FLGS, and that day might happen sooner than expected.
And have I mentioned we offer gift subscriptions? :)

KQ is on my list of things to possibly buy, especially if there is Pathfinder articles/information in it. Currently not in the budget, but some day it will be.

If you are looking for something to fill that Dragon magazine void, I can't reccomend KQ mag enough. Seriously.
A subscription really is not very expensive and the magazine is top quality.
I honestly can say I believe everyone on these boards should be a subscriber!

You are convincing me to 'just do it'. And you are correct, it isn't very expensive. One aspect of the KQ page I just took a look at is the Adopt-A-Soldier Sponsorship option - very nice touch.
I'll probably end up subscribing within a month and once I find a job perhaps I'll even toss a subscription to a soldier.

Glad to hear you're considering it; the subscriptions really do keep us afloat.
And we did recently run an adopt-a-soldier contest that's done pretty well. KQ and readers combine to offer free subscriptions to anyone on active military service. Civilians have been so generous, that we actually have a few subscriptions left over at the moment!

Issue #10 is the free issue, #12 still has to be paid for. Checking all Open Design products you can see that every new issue sells more copies which is good for the magazine.
Maybe I misunderstood Wicht, but I took him to be making a connection between the offering of 10 for free and increased sales of 12.
