So who's getting alot of ideas and inspiration from the new series on STARZ "Black Sails" for their Savage Tide Adventure Path? My favorite new show!!!

Hmmm, sounds like fun :)

You could maybe start with the Juju zombie template, and add snakiness.

Juju Zombie did come to mind.

Kind of an undead halfbrood yuan-ti?

Yes, but i wanted it to be a bit more unique then just giving an undead template to a halfbreed yaun-ti. It's just one of those things were the dream probably seemed alot better to me than what i could explain. Kinda reminds me of the ritual to make a skinwalker, I loved the imagery of the bloated anaconda and emerging from it is a scaly undead version of your adventuring companion

Dave

Had a dream last night that I was a PC on the Isle of Dread, and the rest of my party was captured by a tribe worshipping Demogorgon. The PC's were fed to anacondas, then the anacondas heads were cut off and tied up tight and hung on a huge rack(picture huge sausage links). Then they inscribed different symbols and tattoos on the bloated hanging snakes while chanting spells and the like. After a while they left them alone to ripen in the sun for a couple days. I went over and started to cut one open with my sword and a creature that looked distantly reminescent to my adventuring companion leapt out at me, gaunt and covered with scales a forked tongue snake eyes but unliving. It was pretty disturbing and thought it would be a cool creature idea for STAP. If anyone wants to use it make up some stats and name it be my guest just felt like sharing.

As the title says. SoS is a ways off for my group (currently between Tides of Dread and The Lightless Depths), but I like to be prepared. Seems like he would have been ideal to order up some artwork for, but considering the bang up job on Kedward Bone and Tyralandi, I'm not complaining.

For those who don't have immediate access, here is the Leech's description.

"The name abomination is well suited to the grotesque yuan-ti known to his kin as the Leech. His flesh is a sickened yellow green hue, with a face pulled back in a ghastly rictus grin, as if horrifically scarred by acid."

I'm thinking some cross between the Joker and a yuan-ti, but I've not been able to find that lurking around the interwebs.

I believe the Illustration to the left on page 42 of SOS is supposed to be that of "Leech"? And if it is, we miss out on really seeing his horrific appearance. I should draw my own version!

Anyone use this race in the STAP yet, also where can I find 3rd edition stats for Tabaxi and Tabaxi Lord? Thanx in advance.

Or perhaps you can make a variant of the Concordant Killer, an experiment of Demogorgon's trying to create his own version. A trist between himself and an angel? He could be a two-headed version with twin blades. Perhaps Demogorgon has manipulated his son into killing different foes over the years for the cause of keeping the balance, and now these PC's must be exterminated too! But having Celestial blood he may also be convinced by some that his Father should be the one to parish and preserve the balance...just an idea.

I live in Connecticut not too far from where that chimp attack has made national news. Not to be disrespectful to the victim or families involved i am just mentioning this for the brutal savagery of an adult chimpanzee. I realize more powerful PC's can handle a chimp no problem, but imagine 1st level PC's getting attacked and mauled by an adult chimp even without the savage template. And what about the Olangru threads on here, a psycho-demon chimp that CAN take care of more powerful characters. I would have a savage chimp attack in the "There is no Honor" maybe where the PC's find the Rhagodessa. Possibly a couple large ticked off chimps that have escaped their pen. just a thought really intimidate your players with the primates right from the beginning.

Since I am running the Savage Tides AP in a world were dinosaurs are quite common in the whole reagion, I want to spice up the population of the isle of dread. I started to "cross-breed" different species of dinosaurs with various demons (as a result of the close connection of the isle of dread and the abyss), but have since run out of ideas for more combinations.

So does anyone has some suggestions on what would be good "mutated" dinosaurs or prehistoric beasts that fit the isle of dread?

By the way, they can be quite nasty, since I am running the AP for 6 Players using high powered Pathfinder characters.

Hey Maxxx here are a few ideas,

1. Balor/Giant Gorilla hybrid
2.Deinosuchus/Hydra Hybrid
3.Bullywug variations like a poison arrow version, smaller very colorful but very poisonous to the touch.
4.Giant Dragon millipede(Google Cambodian Lost World) Scientists recently discovered 1'000s of new species including a hot pink colored millipede that oozes cyanide.
5.Shape shifting aspect of demogorgon, representing a diety for different tribes on the island who are enemies of one another but unknowingly worship Demogorgon. One tribe could worship a monkey deity one lizard and other octopus and Demogorgon gains power by using one against the other. And he may show up as a giant 2 headed gorilla/Demogorgon combo or 2 headed T-Rex demogorgon combo and a mutated octopus demogorgon combo.
6.Medusa Spiders(As seen on LOST) their bite causes paralysis but victims appear dead for i think about 12-24 hours.

Hope some of those ideas helped?

I was looking over the stats for night hags in 3.5 and comparing them to the 2E Planescape version. Most of the stats are the same, although some of them seem to be poorly converted. I noticed that in 2E, they have Exceptional (15-16) Intelligence, but only Int 11 in 3.5. Night hags are good mid-level schemers, not just dumb monsters, so I think the old Int would be better for the Pathfinder version.

2E night hags can use know alignment. Since that spell doesn't exist in 3.5, they have detect chaos, detect evil, detect good, and detect law. It seems an awkward way to convert this ability. Detect good is probably sufficient. Night hags are Neutral Evil; they don't care if you're lawful or chaotic.

2E night hags can use sleep once per turn, but they can affect creatures up to 12 HD (save vs. spells). 3.5 night hags can use sleep at will, but it's just the regular 4 HD sleep, which would have no effect on any party powerful enough to fight a night hag. Perhaps the Pathfinder version should have the regular sleep at will and deep slumber 3/day.

I'm also working on a unique, advanced night hag for a story I'm writing. She is supposed to be CR 13, so I've taken the base night hag and added 4 HD (total 12 HD.) That brings her up to CR 11, so I've also added some extra abilities. The idea is for her to be the "grandma from hell."

Spell-Like Abilities: 3/day — bestow curse, atrophy, wrack.

Those last two are 5th level wizard spells. Atrophy is from Dragon #300; it inflicts 1d8 Dex and Con damage and weakens the target's limbs, cutting the target's base speed in half and causing a 25% chance of failure for any action that requires the use of its arms. These penalties persist until the ability damage is healed. A successful Fort save halves the ability damage and negates the limb damage.

Wrack is from the Book of Vile Darkness and the abishai entry in Fiendish Codex II. It causes...

I like the idea of intelligent night hags myself. Planescape 2e version also hints at their ancestry, "Some lords of the Lower Planes take night hags for wives. From such unions are only born more night hags, equal to others of their race and not partaking of the characteristics of their sire." This is what intrests me most about these hags daughters of Arch Devils, Demon Lords and Princes, Vile nobility running through their veins. I see hags as prize cows of the Lower Planes. Each one unique and carrying a hint of their noble blood. With unique powers, characteristics and physical traits reflecting their powerful fathers. But not so unique that it doesn't resemble a hag anymore. They are needed to harvest larvae for the blood war and other foul purposes they are held in respect for their harvests as well as their knowledge. I see the lords looking at them as not exactly wives but breeding stock to be protected, bought and sold with pedigrees of their ancestry. Make them a hot commodity. In my world Demogorgon has a prized Night Hag "Violexx"(She of the Great Horns) sired by none other than "Asmodeus". "Demogorgon" hadseen offspring from this hag before and they were of excellent quality so he accuired her for his breeding program and sired excellent hags himself "Grelda" and "Blixious". There was one however that took more after "Demogorgon" than the rest. A beast called the Haggoth a large mostrosity about 10' tall a huge right arm with horrible talons on each, the left 4 withered arms gnarled and almost unusable, giant mishapen feet and 3 horrible heads sprouting from one set of shoulders. not as smart as her sisters she is used more as muscle for the covey. She has a necrotic bite and can vomit necrotic bile as a breath weapon 3 x a day.

-Spoilers-

Without getting into the precise details (as they are messy and involve some drama), my players has elected to start up a new group of characters, however the group has asked that instead of starting a new campaign that they stick to and finish Savage Tide.

Alright I so… Now I have a completely new group of people with no ties, links, or reason to bother with the Lavinia’s problems or her little troubled Island, or this Shadow Pearl Nonsense- So how do I involve them? The original Group left off after completely clearly out the City of Broken Idols… except Khala (Hence messy).

So the idea is this party is going to eventually pick up right where the last level 12 party left off. My current line of thought is to start the new party off at level 10 in Sassarine and have them investigate sooomething… Which leads up to them wants to take a boat to the Ilse of Dread to investigate further. Perhaps they should investigate the Farm where Vanthus worked just five years ago to find the place overrun by demonic farm animals and Savage Farm hands… This is lead into more run ins with the Crimson fleet.
Perhaps once the PCs arrive at Farshore the small town is under skin walker attack?

Ideas? The party will be starting at level 10 so I have some lead up to “current” events. (Ba-dum-chin!)

Maybe the new PC's are are an old group of adventurers that Lavinia hired but were never heard from again. They suddenly awake or something to find themselves on a freaky island partial amnesia each PC has different memories so they have to work together to understand what is going on and get caught up in this story all over again. Give it like a LOST feel, also you can get pretty creative with their back stories and stuff so it flows a little more with the STAP. Just an idea hope it helps?

So, I’ve been really messing with the party in Fogmire. I’ve used a lot of suggestions I got here. I also had them fight illusions of themselves - which were really zombies of the Nixie crew and one golem which was a stand-in for Thunderstrike. Oh, yeah, in my campaign, Olangu either has the ability to make golems or he has access to someone who can. Then, I had them encounter the zombies of a family they knew, feasting on another acquaintance of theirs, and their twins were cobbled into a golem effigy of Demogorgon.

NPCs have been dying or disappearing at a rate of one per game secession. The palyers are getting really freaked out.

Anyway, the PC, Viselys (Marshal/Kenzai), has really been off his game, and it’s all the player. When I had them fight the two-headed golem kid, François (Viselys’ player) chose to fight defensively. This mathematically made it impossible to hit the creature or to be hit by the creature (barring ones or twenties). Chris (Saris’ player) and Tim (Ornrik’s player) were getting really upset, and Saris was taking a pounding he might not survive. They were both imploring him (in character and out) to use his Vicious Great Sword, but he refused. Tim cast Hold on Viselys out of spite to let the creature get a few licks in. To his credit, François role-played as though Viselys believed the spell came from “The Predator” (how our group refers to Olangru).

During the intervening week, I got an email from Chris who was speculating that Viselys was not really Viselys – that the real Viselys had been taken and replaced with another illusion and that François was playing along to keep up the illusion for the players. Paranoid much? But, I thought it was a great idea! Of course, I could neither confirm nor deny, and I told him as much. However, at the next game...

Oh man i LOVE the pic of that creepy twin demogorgon thingy!!!

I was thinking of a fun little twist for Divided's Ire, to be used for STAP or just a seperate side trek. Have the whole area cursed and any who stay too long become a demented baboon-like creature that either takes after one side of Demogorgon's persona or the other. The Volcanic side shelters a gang of savage, feral and strong creatures that can cause insanity with a stare. While the other gang are considerably weaker, intelligent, cunning and can charm others. maybe the PC's get caught up in a gang war between the 2 factions. And quite possibly one gang or the other holds the key to their only way out? This could be great for some comic-relief, some of the apes could talk very snobbishly and with sarcasm and a quick wit but very bent! While the others...well just picture the chimps that ripped that guys nose and testicles off in the news a couple years ago. Let me know what you all think of the idea. Divide's Ire was always a fun area to be creative with.

I would have probably continued in this pattern:

Graz'zt
Obox-ob
Pale Night
Yeenoghu
Juiblex
Orcus

Although I might have moved Orcus up in the schedule just to get him out of the way. Of all the demon lords, he'd had the MOST written about him and, as a result, it was Orcus who needed a Demonomicon entry the least, in my opinion.

Hey James thanx for the reply and i agree orcus is cool and all but he has had his share written down in other literature. My most anticipated entry would have been for "Pale Night", I am sure it would have been very interesting and left us shaking our heads about her even more...right? "Juiblex" on the other hand never did it for me just an evil pile of jello.

I think that, at least for the purposes of Sea Wyvern's Wake, every ship should have a Pintel and Regetti character. For those unaware, these where the pair of comic relief pirates in the film "Pirates of the Carribean." Now, I'm not suggesting that these characters be focused on, or even follow the same patters as Masters Pintel and Regetti, but the idea of a humorous duo who become more important as time goes on is appealing to me. Another part of it was that while they were comical, they also were competent in combat.

Now I'm going to share my pair with you.

Axegrinder and Golthanok where once guards for the Kellani house. However, when the telepath Alexi tricked his way in, Kellani had the pair of them fired. While the two of them where looking for work, they heard that the Vanderboren house was hiring for a long sea voyage. Figuring that this was exactly what they needed to get away from the Kellani house for a while, the pair joined up, only to find to their surprise that the same Alexi who had got them fired was second in command on this ship!

Axegrinder is a dwarf from the Eastern Mountains. Well, that's what he tells folk anyway. In truth Axegrinder is a dwarf of Sasserine, born and bred. Fortunately for him, he has acquired a ring that allows him to float in any fluid, no matter what he carries. This allows him to travel over the sea for long periods of time without any fear of being drowned.

Golthanok was an orcish slave. Taken by the Plainsrunners at birth, Golthanok eventually killed his captor and escaped, teaching himself the intricacies of unarmed combat.

The fun part about this pair is that Golthanok the savage orc is Lawful Neutral and Axegrinder the noble dwarf is Chaotic Neutral, and they get along great.

Just a fun little duo that I threw in. They're now my players favorite NPCs.

Great Idea! I have NPC's that I want to use for Savage Tide as well that sprang form shows or movies. The crew of the Sea Wyvern for my game will be as follows:

Captain "Achilles Hawke" - based on "Sawyer"(Josh Hollaway) from LOST.

First Mate "Tor" - who Is a male Qullan, based on the actor Michael Clarke Duncan.

Ship's cook "Rotty Mott" - based on the famous award winning potty-mouth scottish chef Gordon Ramsey(I'm going to have fun with him).

There will be more later but I also wanted to put down who other NPC's remind me of from Savage Tide.(Feel free to add your own thoughts as well).

Harliss Javell - Kind of a cross between Monica Belucci and Michelle Rodriguez.

Avner Meravanchi - Johnny Fairplay from survivor.

Vanthus - I finally figured out who he reminds me of...Colin Farrell.

I'll think of more later.

I don't own the Minatures Handbook so I don't have the skinny on Demon Lords Aspects. I asked this before but I am being a little more specific this time. Both "Khala" and "Gorgant" are aspects of Demogorgon, but unlike other demon lord aspects they are unique looking with variant abilities. "Khala" looks mostly like a kopru, now did Demogorgon infuse a kopru with his essence to produce the aspect or does Demogorgon just mold part of his essence Into a form he wishes and a slight change In abilities? I am wondering this cause I wanted to create aspects of the big "D" for my own campaign and wondering If there Is a set of rules to follow when creating your own esp. If you want to make a variation off of the Big "D" like "Khala" and "Gorgant" appear to be. Thanx In advance.

I jumped on the incest wagon with my players.

Bet that was a fun trip...

My girlfriend saw me reading this thread, and asked me what you were all banging on about now (no, she's not a gamer...); I told her, and showed her the pictures of Lavinia (Mm, Hmm!) and Vanthus, and she went "Phwoarr! I'd totally do him...!".

I showed her the other picture, "And later, he turns into that...", and she was even more aroused! Hell's Belles!

I myself picked up on the incest thing since "There Is No Honor". Actually before Savage Tide ever even came out I was working on my own idea for an adventure with Demogorgon as the main bad guy. And oddly enough It Involved these two evil, twisted, creepy siblings a brother and sister"Vangyss" and Vascha" who could trace their bloodline back to Demogorgon. They were shipwrecked on an "Isle of Dread" type Island when they were young along with their father who knew their dreaded secret. The children lived but the father died. The children were raised by demons disguised in human form, and were trained to fight cast spells and be as wicked as they could. Well these siblings had a thing for each other produced a child, an albino son. well a ship made It's way to the Isle one day from some far off mainland led by one Lord Angus Gryffonshield, 30 men arrived but only a handful would make It back. They encountered the siblings a horrible battle ensued and they managed to overpower and kill the twisted brother and sister. They tried to leave shortly after that but not after noticing a child all alone In It's crib. Lord Angus took the child and would raise him as his own. His own son Krystoff who accompanied his father on the journey grew very Ill on the beach before reaching the ship. He was transformed Into an Anomorphous Baboon(Mandrill). Lord Angus was heartbroken with grief as his own son had been afflicted with such a curse, they left went home but krystoff was locked away like an animal, while his adopted son enjoyed the benefits of being Lord Angus's new favorite son. The boy Ian grew up to be very tall strong,Intelligent and heroic, eventually he gains paladinhood and all Is good...NOT! people that he's known all his life family ,friends.loved ones are not whom he thought they were these different people unlock through betrayel, lust and murder the demonic legacy trapped Inside. (Think the fall of Anakin Skywalker). He becomes a blackguard first then his fiendish side comes out as well, he Is slain In battle only to rise as a badass Death Knight. Meanwhile In the beginning of my adventure the PC's come across Krystoff, who comes across as a drunk, sarcastic overgrown monkey. But earns their trust only later on to hear the call of Demogorgon with promises of power and a place to fit In and betrays the PC's and Is awarded with a lemorian template and then later on death knight. Didn't mean to ramble but that's weird the coincidences I had down before the STAP came out minus the Lemorian template that was added later on. My point In picking your post was how your girlfriend liked Vanthus as a Lemorian, I was kinda hoping to see Lavinia as a sexy little Lemorian lust bunny that would have been HOT!

- Farshore residents are captured by the trog tribe which lives on Termute, they defeat some (including a trog leper) but are late, and later they find these NPCs as slaves in Scuttlecove, brought there by the Fleet.
- Ixixatls attack them when on water.

I wanted the PC's to be hunted down and tormented even thou "Olangru" fills that slot nicely as well! I want the PC's to see one of their own being flayed and tortured as the Skinwalker ritual Is performed On them. Its set up as yet another battlefest, but isnt this a more interesting opportunity for the 20th level Bard/Diplomat to reveal to one head, the others plans to destroy it? Sure one half of Demogorgon wants the Savage Tide, but the other half has a very serious investment in not letting it go ahead. Having the two heads and arms battle over the master pearl should be as much an option as the PC's battling a united Demogorgon.

Thoughts. Excellent question SJE, I thought the same thing as well but I did however love If Malcanthet bonds with one of the PC's to deliver a harsh blow of betrayal whispered Into Demogorgon's ear. Getting dumped Abyssal style, she's such a slut! Or even better with what you were saying above to pit the two heads against each other, have the bonded PC whisper Into one ear(for only one head to hear It),making the other head Incredibly jealous so Jealous that the Big D will start attacking himself.

And If you could describe It as well? Just curious, I haven't gotten It yet but was the last Dragon Magazine going to have something with Obox-Ob In It? Thanx.

Yup; that's where that cool piece of art came from originally as well.

Froghemoth for the win!

YEAH I Went through my stacks of Dungeon and Dragon mags and found It. Ol' Madtooth will be on Isle of Dread awakened by Demogorgon and worshipped and fawned over by a tribe of bullywugs.

I must have missed that thanx guys, I'm going to go check It out.

I loved the Illustration of the Frogomoth On the editorial page of Issue# 150, funny cause just a couple days prior I was looking at MM2(1st Edition) at the frogomoth thinking of sticking one on the Isle of Dread but maybe a huge advanced version? Are there any stats for the frogomoth for the 3.5 version? Enworld probably has It right?

I toyed with putting in a section that talks about "What happens if the PCs fail?" but in the end decided against it, in favor of including a more robust "How to continue the events of Savage Tide into a new, Epic campaign" section instead, something that we didn't really do well in the previous Adventure Paths but that our readers made clear that they wanted.

What happens in your campaign if Demogorgon wins is, of course, up to you. Your PCs likely won't be around to see it or help folks deal with it, though, since in all likelihood they're the first Demogorgon eats (if they aren't dead already). HOWEVER...

My take on what happens if the PCs fail, though, and what I would have included had I the room in that already packed issue:

If Demogorgon's plan to trigger the savage tide is not stopped, he drives nearly three dozen Material Plane cities into madness and ruin. Although this isn't the "end of the world," it certainly is the "end of civilization" as suddenly the smaller settlements of the world become the keepers of civilization. Savage creatures have short lifespans, and within a few weeks of the savage tide, most (if not all) of them have died to their own insanity, leaving behind empty cities. The task of repopulation becomes a race between the smaller towns and villages of the world and the monster races who no doubt lust for these once-grand locations. As for Demogorgon, his transformation into a one-headed demon lord doesn't quite catapult him into divinity... but it does make him the most powerful demon in the Abyss. He loses his dual action powers, but advances by 20 HD (according to the guidelines for advancing demon lords in Fiendish Codex I and Dragon #359). His gaze weapons merge into one combined gaze attack. He quickly gains command over several other layers like the Blood Shallows and Ilsidahur's Realm, then turns his attention to his enemies. Orcus and Graz'zt receive the brunt of his wrath, and are forced to contemplate an alliance between themselves simply to survive; Graz'zt's...

Awesome James that's exactly what I was talking about, I still think this outcome should have been Included as well? Doesn't matter the whole AP was just brilliant I loved It from beginning to end and I wish there were more, I was kinda hoping the next AP would Involve Lolth or Asmodeus. Oh well just have to make up my own now.

James I have read through all the possible outcomes at the end of the AP, but It doesn't actually say what happens to the Big "D" If he triggers the Savage Tide? I was hoping to see new stats and an Illustration of the new and Improved Demogorgon. Actually In my version If he succeeds It will be bittersweet cause as he does I want Obox Ob to attack him, and as the Savage Tide sweeps over both of them they each meld Into the other creating a new King of Demons. Demogorgon thought It was bad with a twin brother hanging around all the time that will be nothing compared with the absolute madness of another entity merged Into It's being that he loathes and fears. Same goes for Obox Ob It will be no picnic merged with Monkeybone either! A powerful new demon boss but even more Insane and hateful as Arendagrost?

Actually got It today...WOOHOO!!! Great AP guys, well nevermind about Nulonga and Ulu-Thurg(Well Ulu Is really cool). What about Arendagrost Maw of the Abyss? He kicks ass! When I asked James about him last month or so he said he takes more after Dad and has 3 sets of horns. I sketched a picture of him and I swear two of his heads looked like these dragon heads but the middle one had a giant neandrathal head with horns look. And he was humanoid. Who knew Malcanthet could have such a homly kid? I want to design other possible offspring of Demogorgon and Malcanthet, I am sure one of them will take after Mom In some way?

I'm about to run the storm at the end of Sea Wyvern's Wake. Because the players have various abilities that make a storm hitting them out of nowhere unlikely, I've decided to let Emrag the Dragon Turtle make an introductory appearance.

The PCs spot the Isle of Dread, and as they approach they might or might not spot the Dragon Turtle spying on them. Either way Emrag casts Control Weather to cause the storm, figuring it can always clean out the wreck later.

I know Dragon Turtles are not normally spellcasters, but my players are not rules-lawyers (at least not where monsters are concerned) so I can easily get away with this. I simply give him Control Weather as a spell-like ability 1/week. CL = HD, (25), so no worries about dispel. It should build some animosity against him for later. Of course, they might go our of their way to hunt him down once they get powerful enough.

* Can anyone find a serious flaw in this as a plot development?
* Can I find a suitable underwater dragon lair (and treasure) someplace?

My group aren't rules-lawyers either, If I need my players to end up on a lost isle for the sake of the story there gettin' to that damn Isle! I will make up, think up, Improvise, cheat, lie anything so that they end up there. Our "Dungeon Meets" usually involve Food, Imagination, home-brewed rules, improvising, and lots of dice...cause everyone has like 800 sets of dice(never enough dice)! So what I am sayng Is do what you have to do to get the job done.

Long Shanks Is great, but still think Pete was rendered the best. Keep up the great work.

Another nice Peet! But my version of Peet will be a girl with ample brains and very scantily clad. Actually My Savage tide Fan Art Portfolio will be all the cheesecake from the STAP. I'm gonna have a great painting for "Lillinth" and Lynarra"...oh yeah!

I really liked the description of Slip Knot Peet, but there wasn't a picture of him, so I ended up doing an illustration of the guy. I posted it on photobucket in case anyone wants to check him out. You may be able to print it out to use for your game if you want. I might try to tackle a few of the Bullywugs next. If I do I'll post them in the same album.

Yeah actually I was already guessing she was like a Godly Queen Ant, Inseminated once then giving birth whenever? But I just wanted to make that joke about congigal visits lol. This leaves room for my Imagination to go crazy with Ideas on new creatures and being from the Greek Pantheon makes It more sweet. When "Clash of the Titans" first came out I was always integrating the myths Gods and Goddesses Into my campaigns. I know It's off subject but did anyone hear news about a remake of "Clash of the Titans"?

In Wells of Darkness I noticed Echidna "The Mother of Monsters" Is Imprisoned In one of the wells. And It states that Harpies shrieks can be heard eminating from her well heralding a new birth. As you know Echidna with her mate Typhon spawned most of the greek monsters, Neamyian Lion,Hydra and so on. A DM could have lotsa fun wih this since Ahazu let's some of her progeny loose, I was going to make up a few creatures she spawned to play with the PC's. Question James Is Echidna getting congingal visits from Typhon, or just creating these herself?

In "Wells of Darkness" on page 59 It says that Shadowfire Is secretly In the employ of Demogorgon. His true allegiance Is known only to the Prince of Demons and one of his generals, a unique demon named Hethros. Is Hethros another aspect or clone of Demogorgon?

May i ask who did the artwork of Malcanthet in this issue? Was it Ben Wootten or Warren Mahy? I only ask this because I havent seen the issue yet (damn Australian postal times...) and I must admit I was a little dissapointed with Mahy's interpretation of Red Shroud and Shami-Amourae. In particular, Shami looked a bit frumpy for a personification of depraved sexuality to me (but then again I might just be a little sick in the head). I'd just like to see Wootten's version, I've been loving his art so far.

Malcanthet In #149 makes up for Red Shroud and Shami-Amourae In #148. Orcus Is damn good too, I really like the Illustration for General Bogramar. I did miss the pic of Obox-Ob In #149 thou, James will there be an Illustration for Obox-Ob In #150?
