Well no the best you can be is not always "MOAR POWAH".

I just don't get why people can't optimize their characters and stay within RP guidelines, the people I play with manage to do both just fine.

I like how as someone who naturally gravitates towards making my characters be the best they can be I am labeled a "power gamer".

Some people enjoy making a character concept and then fitting it into the rules, and others like to look at the rules find what they like the best and then make their character around those choices.

Neither is right, neither is wrong, with everything comes sacrifice.

I should not be limited because you did not choose a class that has as powerful of options as mine.

Don't get me wrong it's no fun when one character is ruling the whole party through sheer optimization, but again no one class is capable of being amazingly better than everyone else at everything. Just my 2 cents :)

Yes they are given the EXACT same rights/etc. as a man would, they are viewed completely as equals

ATTENTION: YOU DO NOT HAVE THE RIGHT TO NOT BE OFFENDED

EDIT: The bible is fraught with contradictions, quoting from it will not support any opinion

Tome Of Battle: Book of Nine Swords, I want ma crusada! Honestly for the most part Paizo has made my dreams come true with what they've re-done so far, before UM I was dying for a Divine Caster book but UM was encompassing enough for me...except I'm still crying over losing Augment Healing feat and to a lesser extend the nullification of divine metamagic feats due to the incredible usefulness if positive energy burst, which is a far trade off :)

Swimming in DnD online is about as realistic as it is in PnP, you wear armor you will swim slower and lose air faster due to "fatigue"...that is as real as swimming EVER needs to be in a video game

Just as a side note, there is nothing wrong with blowing through paper. We grow paper on FARMS. The rain forest isn't being chopped down for paper it's being mutilated for cattle grazing land, and for furniture. Paper use is not something you need to feel bad about, and when someone tries to act like they are eco-friendly because they have a
electric hand dryer, or they erase the same piece of paper 100million times, tell them to stop eating at mcdonald's if they really care.

Hey all. I'm loathe to use the term "tank" (mostly because the concept of a party member generating a level of "aggression" to defend the other players is non-existant in d20) but really it's the best term to get the idea across. At any rate I am looking to make an optimized build for a melee character who has high durability and/or the ability to protect his allies as much as possible in fights, in general as much of a "tank" build as I can get. I have toyed with a fighter, barb, and pally builds. I must say I truly hate the barb, my reasons for hatred are not good ones so I will not get into it lol. Any advice on some general build concepts, rare defensive feats, homebrew classes, rules, etc on how to create a "tank" character, I would prefer to use a paladin-like build but I am open to other class themes as well. Thanks all :)
