Thoroar Silentall, 28, grew up in the Western Forests in Amahra. When he was 15 his older brother Thane, left to find his fortune and never returned. About 5 years later, Thoroar felt the same restless urge and left his home to find adventure and perhaps his brother.
Thoroar found his adjustment to the broader world much more difficult than he anticipated. The eastern part of Amahra was much more industrialized and populated than his secluded homeland. He found it difficult to fit in to civilized society preferring to lurk in the seedier fringes of the Vlasc cities. He utilized his skill at hiding and being nimble doing freelance work as a spy, thief, lookout, escort, or anything else that required someone capable of slipping in and out without being noticed. With no goals other than finding the next job, Thoroar is unencumbered by silly notions like good or evil, lawful or chaotic. Jaded, by the petty power struggles of the feuding factions within Amahra, He is more influenced by how much coin is attached to the next job than the rightness or wrongness of the task.
A brief fling with a girl from the central plains introduced him to the goddess Shala. While the relationship was fleeting, his worship of Shala continues since Thoroar believes he can use all of the luck he can get.
