About Thadeuzs 'Tad' Orlovsky

Born the youngest son of the Orlovsky family Patriarch, Thadeuzs was made painfully aware from an early age that he was, at best superfluous, if not an outright excess weight upon the family name. As a consequence, he was expected to 'stay out of the way'.
So of course he spent the first several years of his life as a hellion & 'rake-hell', most commonly in the entourage of one or another of the various Rogarvia scions. That ended the morning he, along with every other inhabitant of Brevoy, awoke to discover that the entire House Rogarvia had vanished.
Tad was devastated, his standard of living didn't really decline, but the Rogarvia scions had been his closest, truest friends; now they were gone, no one knew how or why, & no-one seemed to have any real interest in discovering the answers to those questions either.
Tad's response to this was to become even more violent & thugish. Well, that is how it seemed to his family & the other nobles of Brevoy, at least those who took note of him at all. True, he did brawl more, he did associate more with 'lower classes', but he was never quite as drunk as they thought, nor did he ever make himself enough of an embarrassment to be disowned. He maintained a reputation as someone to have around if things got 'sticky'. He also developed a much keener eye & ear for what was 'actually' happening among the nobility of Brevoy, as opposed to what various individuals wanted people to think. He still doesn't know what happened to his friends & he is beginning to fear he will never find out, but he has come to realize that Brevoy needs someone who cares about Brevoy & he will find that someone...

At twenty-five, Tad already bears the stigmata of a life lived hard. His close-cropped hair does little to conceal the scars he has received from innumerable brawls, scraps, scuffles & at least one spectacularly failed mugging attempt
(When asked about the scar bisecting his left eyelid his only response is a toothy, genial, grin; equal parts maniacal threat & genuine bonhomie.)
A lanky, loose-limbed individual, Tad stands noticeably over six foot in height, with long ropy arms & a frightening degree of strength in his butcher's-block fists.

Curiously, his manner is far more good-natured & amicable than one would expect from such a violence-prone individual & no-one can understand his devotion to Shelyn and subsequent fondness for art in all forms... His close attachment to his youngest sister Alexis, his only friend in the family, was entirely understandable. As the two closest in age of their father's children, they had more contact with each other than either had with their siblings, an attachment which further estranged relations between Thadeuzs & their father as it became more & more apparent that Alexis was little more than a political bargaining chip to Lord Orlovsky.
He also shares the Shelynites weakness for love & more than one of his malfeasant exploits has actually been in service to a pair of star-crossed lovers. Some of the relationships even survived...

All that was before. Before his father sacrificed Thadeusz and his sister on the alter of political expediency. Before the man, the companions he thought might be the ones to heal Brevoy's wounds were betrayed, slaughtered to the last.
Heart-sick, Thadeusz made his way to the Sellen. There, he found passage as far from Brevoy as he could. Eventually, he left Avistan entirely. There is always work to be found for a man who is obviously not afraid of violence. His conscience doesn't let him prey on the innocent, or the downtrodden. Luckily enough, there are plenty of guilty to be found. His fists are seldom idle.

Your unarmed fighting style is nimble and unpredictable, full of ground rolls and short leaps.
Prerequisites: Wis 13, Improved Unarmed Strike, Acrobatics 5 ranks, Climb 5 ranks.
Benefit: You add your Wisdom bonus on Acrobatics checks. While using this style, you take no penalty on melee attack rolls or to AC while prone. Further, you can crawl and stand up from lying prone without provoking attacks of opportunity, and you can stand up as a swift action if you succeed at a DC 20 Acrobatics check.
Normal: You take a –4 penalty on attack rolls and AC against melee attacks while prone. Standing up is a standard action that provokes attacks of opportunity.
