Malcom stands beside Pendin at the edge of the pit. Looking down at the Golems he is clearly radiating self satisfaction.


Aaleron, you are correct on the falling damage. However, if I do end up falling in I'd like to roll an Acrobatics Check to avoid the first 10 feet... just in case

Acrobatics Check: 1d20 + 16 ⇒ (20) + 16 = 36


Reflex Save: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (16) + 8 = 24

Falling damage: 1d6 ⇒ 2

Assuming the attack is a success: The maximum distance I suppose? Or until the Golem falls into the pit... Either options work for me.

Malcom will also move forward with the Golem if there is any available movement left in his charge attack. If the Golem doesn't fall into the pit he will stay right in front of it. If the Golem does fall into the pit, he will stop at the edge of the pit.

" Its hard to tell friend. Unfortunately I cannot see through the darkness on the other side."


Malcom will walk up to one of these small holes and peek through to see what's on the other side.

Malcom equips himself with his new shields and marches right on ahead of the party, no stealth check required! An audible clang,clang,clang from his remaining Armor sounds an echo off the walls of the dungeon as he carries on.

Malcom pauses for a moment to look around and make sure he didn't take a wrong turn somewhere as half the party disappears from sight. The few he can see let him realize that he can't be too far off course.

Heavy Wood it is! Does anybody have a way of make-shifting some spikes to attach to these things?

Also, I updated my character sheet with my new equipment. I'm going to hold on to the old shields in case I might ever be able to repair them.

Interesting thing though, in doing so I realized my build doesn't suffer that much with using makeshift weapons. My max damage output only drops by maximum 8 (minimum 5) and my AC only drops by 1. The -4 Attack Bonus is a little harder to deal with but is manageable in my opinion. I now realize that dumping all that money into 2 items was probably not a good move since I could have made up all those stat losses with other less costly items. Very interesting indeed.


Chirinide, Do you have details about the shields you made me? I need to do some serious modifications to my character sheet.

Though wood is nothing in comparison to Mythral I'd be greatful all the same Chirinide. I must admit I feel quite exposed without my shields. They were made by the finest craftsman and enchanters in the land and are very much one of a kind.


I hope Malcom's actions aren't bringing the party down. I kind of feel like my RP is forcing the adventure to get dragged into a different direction than some of you might want. I kind of designed him to be the big reckless and dumb fighter that his is. I'm having a lot of fun with it too. Chirinide kind of said it best:

Which is kind of what I was going for. If it's getting too much for anybody than I can change Malcom's character a bit.

What I'm trying to say is that we don't need to leave the dungeon if you guys don't want to. The wooden shields can get me by in the meantime. The other factor is that I don't have the money to replace the Shields either. I have 2645GP which can buy some new non-magical ones but is not enough to buy the magic needed to restore them. I could maybe take out a loan if the DM permitted? Thats just what happens when you put all your eggs into one basket. I bought 3 really big magic items rather than many smaller ones. I though the outcome was kind of funny in a way, and can gladly figure something out along our path if you don't want to go back.

I just don't want this situation to be a thorn in everyone's side.

Wouldn't my shield get a saving throw or something? Its a +6 item which is above averagely strong.

Since the majority vote seems to be in favor of breaking down the wall, that's what I'll do! Malcom swings away with the hammer and chisel.


I was under the impression that the party didn't want me to break through. If the majority wants me to I will!
