"And how will the lady make it right?" Dwozer asks, "or is she only responsible for her servant's good deeds?

Dwozer clanks down the stairs as quickly as his armor will allow. Dwozer hurry over there. Dwozer do this. Dwozer don't do that.

Slightly out of breath, he moves up behind Rumble's weapon arm and looks at the young noblewoman. "Let me guess. You aren't responsible for your servant's actions."

Dark Archive

Dwozer glances briefly at Anastasia, but only shakes his head the slightest fraction, then returns to watching the dragons and hippogriff.

Dark Archive

Dwozer nods at Anastasia when her spell stuns the dangerous creature, but when three more dragons appear, he simply walks away, placing a hand on Pavo's shoulder as he passes the talkative young man.

Dark Archive

Once it attacks me, it will probably keep doing so. That means you guys could move into melee and aid another for defense. With an AC of 25+, I should be able to last the minute required for Diplomacy.

Dark Archive

Dwozer steps closer, eyes locked on the hippogriff. Though he looks relaxed, he still stands on the balls of his feet, ready to act. Ours is to do and die.

"Pavo. Get behind me. Talk to the thing."

Dark Archive

When the baby dragon says to wait, Dwozer sighs and looks around for a chair. "Hurry up and wait. Story of my life."

Dark Archive

Dwozer opens his mind for a moment, "Would you recognize this 'shiny person'?" then closes it again. Definitely one of the new stuffed shirts. Time for its first washing!

Dark Archive

Dwozer turns to Anastasia before entering the dragon's lair, "Was the egg broken or the baby born?"

"Because you never learned never to volunteer for anything."

Dwozer begins throwing a glowing gem into the air and catching it, projecting his voice into the room. "We could even take out the dirty laundry for you--stuffed shirts are my specialty."

Diplomacy (aid): 1d20 ⇒ 11

Dark Archive

I just noticed I'm down a hp. Did I forget a combat, or forget to update the statbar after his last scenario?

Dwozer begins unwinding the fabric on his dagger hilt, and says, "We should discuss this coincidence with Craik." If only to see the insect squirm.

Dwozer looks at Rumble, "If we get some ale for that mouth of yours, will you stop using it to talk?"

I'd bet my sword that butt-stick is on Pavo's list from last night.

Dark Archive

Ahem! I'm practical and realistic, not dour.

Dark Archive

Hmmph. Just like an elf to ignore practical sources of knowledge, like actually using what you know.

Dwozer moves to Rumble's side and smiles, resting a hand on the dwarf's shoulder when he stows the axe.

Dark Archive

Great, another 'Sir'. Find a problem, find an officer in the middle of it.

"We number three wizards, but none from your Acadamae. Zeeva Foxglove sent us."

Knowledge (local): 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (5) + 7 = 12

Dark Archive

Dwozer waves a hand at Pavo, then looks at Thranalas for a few seconds before beckoning the elf as well. Once the two are close, he leans forward and whispers, "I've been known to assume the worst of his type, so maybe it's nothing. But that fop seemed more nervous than he should have."

Dark Archive

Sense Motive: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 6

If allowed to take 10, I will use my folio reroll and hit the 16 that way.

Dark Archive

Dwozer moves to within a foot of the bald servant and nods toward the dining room, then says, "Duty calls."

Subtle? From Pavo? I hope you aren't surprised that didn't work :-p

Dwozer pivots his head slowly to look at the tall, gentle man and says, "No." Then he stares at the portly woman's purple dress a moment before walking back to the kitchen. Clearly waiting until he is moving away from her, Dwozer says, "It's a pity alright."

Dark Archive

"The Unicorn?" Dwozer asks.

Our joker seems to have drawn the right card for himself, but hopefully he doesn't tell the wrong joke for us.

Dark Archive

Dwozer smiles at Pavo, then draws one of the few remaining cards. "Better lucky than good."

He looks at the card for a few seconds, then turns it away from himself so that others can see. The Foreign Trader? If that means I'm supposed to talk to those wealthy travelers Zeeva mentioned . . .

Harrow: 1d4 ⇒ 3

Dwozer coughs lightly, then maintains eye contact until Zeeva finishes answering his question. "What do these places mean to you? The Frisky Unicorn and the Kendall Amphitheater."

I wonder if there's cards in that deck for the three of us: the wizard who talks too much, the wizard who can't talk much, and the wizard who listens.

Dark Archive

"Clearly, the fortune teller knows something important. Why else hide?"

Dwozer pulls at his beard twice, then says, "I know of many betrayals and no crickets, but only one unicorn--The Frisky Unicorn bed and breakfast in the Heights District."

Human here, not dwarf :-p

Dwozer dips his head in a single nod as Pavo finishes his question, then addresses Zeeva, "The more you help us now, the better we can help you later."

To Rumble, he says, "We shouted in your ears and threw cold water on your face, but neither got through that beard. Perhaps you should trim it."

Dark Archive

Dwozer turns his head left then right, scanning the crowd. His gaze pauses on the attentive tabby cat, then settles on the guards. He walks directly toward them and stares at their equipment a moment, before looking their sergeant in the eye. "Sergeant. Zeeva Foxglove?"

Knowledge (arcana): 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (14) + 7 = 21 Is the tabby cat a familiar?

Dark Archive

A well-armored young man nods at the elf. "Dwozer"

I don't care how clean you keep your robes, but you better be willing to get your hands dirty.

Dark Archive

I don't think that I've played any of those in core campaign yet.

So you weren't understating when you said "severe updating".

Dark Archive

It looks like we are going 1-2 subtier, so I have a front liner.

Dark Archive

Chronicle looks good. Thank you for running :-)

Dark Archive

Dwozer rushes in a little off balance, and swings wide of his target.

Crunch:
Full Charge

Dark Archive

@Dale: Any chance you could use your scroll of obscuring mist? If we move around right after, the archivist won't know which squares to target.

Dark Archive

"It cast a spell that gives perfect aim for a few seconds. We need smoke or something to hide behind."

Crunch:
Delay Until right after Dale's turn

Spellcraft: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (19) + 7 = 26

Dark Archive

Magic weapon might be good here. It can be applied pre-combat, and I have a strange feeling the boss might be incorporeal.

Dark Archive

"Well then," Dwozer retrieves a brightly glowing gem and hangs it from his belt, then spits in his hands and tests the grip on his greatsword. "Here's hoping this isn't more stupidity than my life is worth."

Alexandrite gem from one of the evergreens. It's basically a suped-up continual flame.

Dark Archive

Dwozer wants to leave, but I am okay staying.

Dark Archive

Saving her is almost certainly the secondary success condition, but in character I have to vote for leaving her behind--so talk Dwozer out of it.

Dark Archive

"Remember when Ms. Yuul repeatedly ignored my concerns and assured us that the ritual would be safe? Well, there's no reason to add our own stupidity to hers. I, for one, would like to sleep safely in my own bed tonight."

Dark Archive

To be clear, are we being offered a trade? We get to leave safely if we leave our boss behind? Because Dwozer is definitely not the type to risk his neck a second time, right after saving it from said boss' stupidity.

Out of character though, that's probably not the best course of action.

Dark Archive

Dwozer turns to Wraith, "Is the door safe to open?"

Dark Archive

"Perhaps it is another illusion?"

Will: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (13) + 2 = 15

If we determine that it isn't an illusion, I'll bust the way through with my heavy flail.

Dark Archive

@GM: Switching to heavy flail, then.

"This monster is another summoning from the Plane of Shadow. Focus your mind, and see through it. And use blunt weapons!"
