Hey all, just stopping by to say Hi, I obviously wasn't able to get back to this game, my apologies for that, hope everyone is still having fun without blackpowder clouds in the way...

Cool, I'll have Bindlplotz completely updated when I get back. Just simple firearms correct? What's our pay rate now??

Obviously Bindlplotz will be undergoing a complete revision. Basically start from scratch. 5th level Gunfighter.

Can I just cash out the value of my current weapons for new weapons, I might take pistolero or gun tank.So some flexibility with weapons would help.

Bindlplotz has been very ungreedy, only taking the gauntlets before because no one else was using them and he at the time had human favored enemy,. How much cash does he have?

[b]"Bindlplotz mumbles something about his guns, and needing repairs, and perhaps a few changes as he wanders off, and finding his own workshop...one in a basement."[/ooc]

I'm probably going to be MIA quite a lot over the next three weeks. I have as much CAD work as I can do over that time period, and after 4 months on the Dole I can't shirk any of it.

Cool, Going to make the change to Gunfighter now, change everything including the weapons I assume.

Bindlplotz realizes the futility in the trip attemtp and steps closer to Lavinia, then attacks with the hook hammer twice, one hammer one pick! right for the kneecap...

1d20 + 2 + 1 + 4 ⇒ (19) + 2 + 1 + 4 = 26 flank+bless+MAB
1d20 + 2 + 1 + 4 ⇒ (10) + 2 + 1 + 4 = 17 flank+bless+MAB
1d6 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6
1d4 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5

Bindlplotz drops his carbine again and draws his hook hammer, and attempts to trip the chief.

1d20 ⇒ 7

DM:
Cool, I thought that might have been the case.

Btw, I'll make the Gunfighter switch at next level up. Now that I have the final UC in hand, might as well make it all legal

Bindlplotz slings his carbine and moves to attack the chief with his bayonet.

1d20 + 8 ⇒ (17) + 8 = 25
1d6 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 1 = 7

Fires at the rust monster again, then recovers his musket from the ground.

1d20 + 8 ⇒ (15) + 8 = 23
1d8 ⇒ 1

DM Camris:
Rust (Su) A rust monster's antennae are a primary touch attack that causes any metal object they touch to swiftly rust and corrode. The object touched takes half its maximum hp in damage and gains the broken condition—a second hit destroys the item. A rust monster never provokes attacks of opportunity by attempting to strike a weapon with its antennae. Against creatures made of metal, a rust monster's antennae deal 3d6+5 points of damage. An attended object, any magic object, or a metal creature can attempt a DC 15 Reflex save to negate this effect. The save DC is Constitution-based.

The way I read it it takes two hits to completely destroy the item, I assume you rolled the reflex save, and just didn't show it?

Round 7 part two

BINDLPLOTZ_____________________
Bindlplotz slings his hook hammer, quickdraws his carbine and fires at the rust monster. His gun belches a greasy grey smoke cloud with a ka-POW, but misses.
Ghirrak twitches a little, but isn’t deafened.

ranged touch? and I forgot the +1 for the courage.

Bindlplotz looks at the various bullywugs and the rusty, this is going to hurt. hang my hook hammer, quickdraw one of the carbines. Fire at the Rusty

1d20 + 8 ⇒ (2) + 8 = 10
1d8 ⇒ 1

wow, that sucks...

Bindlplotz will attempt to move to the nearest human/half-human enemy and punch them with the humanbane gauntlet, as his anger at the situation gets worse. he drops the musket and pulls a pistol while moving.

Blasted half-man! You'll pay for this

1d20 + 6 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 6 + 2 = 14
1d3 + 2d6 + 2 ⇒ (2) + (3, 3) + 2 = 10

1d20 + 4 - 2 ⇒ (19) + 4 - 2 = 21 Acrobatics to avoid AoO as req'd[/dice]

Got 'im!

Bindlplotz will shoot the caster now.

ranged touch 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (10) + 7 = 17
4d6 - 2 ⇒ (2, 6, 3, 4) - 2 = 13

DM-Camris wrote:

You did hit. There is time yet to change the action. You can take a step and fire at Drevoraz, but there's a crowd there now, and I thought you would take care of the flanker and get a better angle first.

Check out the Map.

no prob, I'll get him next turn.

ok I was just getting ready to post....and it wasn't going to be a flanking stab...it was going to be a shot at the half-orc. Oh well next round I suppose. Did the 21 hit the bullywug?

Bindlplotz will move up to the half-orc with his musket at the ready.

Perception 1: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (5) + 8 = 13
Sense Motive: 1d20 + 2 ⇒ (3) + 2 = 5
Perception 2: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (5) + 8 = 13

I hate d20s

Bindlplotz is quite focused on the half-orc

"Boyo, you n yer mistress went off all 'alf-cawked, we helped Cap'n Harliss agin a dozen o'those big mouthed beasties, Vanthus played you as well as 'is sister...Vanthus skipped town wit' the family fortune, we wen't t'yer little smuggler's den look'n fer that walk'n corpse."

diplomacy 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (18) + 1 = 19

and if that doesn't work then I'll have to try intimidate, holding my musket underslung, but definitely in the direction of his junk, using eye contact to infer where the musket is pointing.... 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (18) + 5 = 23

Bindlplotz readies his musket after the reloading.

"I be ready t'blow an 'uge hole in one o'these frogs."

Bindlplotz continues to reload his weapons as the others finish off the bullywugs.

Bindlplotz will drop the pistol, then pull a carbine as he moves to the top of the stairs (I17) and blast black-2

1d20 + 8 ⇒ (20) + 8 = 28
1d8 ⇒ 4

confirm? 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (5) + 8 = 13
1d8 ⇒ 8?

DM-Camris:
Yeah, I think the deeds and grit will even it out. Plus the x4 criticals.

Can I remake my character as a gunfighter on our next level up?

Binblplotz moves forward to shoot #6 as they close since he can't even see the rope yet from L15.

RTouch
1d20 + 8 ⇒ (14) + 8 = 22
4d6 - 2 ⇒ (4, 1, 6, 4) - 2 = 13

Strange my round 4 action never showed up...I had rushed in ready to fire the musket...but since it didn't show up, I guess hook hammer it is. Btw, Bindlplotz is going to attempt to build a gun into his hook hammer, like the old combo weapons, so he'll be able to fire, then fight.

Bindlplotz will to close with the last enemy if possible

1d20 + 6 ⇒ (2) + 6 = 8
1d6 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3

"Roight!"Bindlplotz says as he throws open the door and levels his musket looking for a target.

1d20 + 6 ⇒ (16) + 6 = 22
4d6 - 2 ⇒ (6, 2, 3, 4) - 2 = 13

perception: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (3) + 8 = 11

"Let's get ready to hit that room, the others must be waiting to enter."

"That's a good idea Ghirrak! Let's Go!"

Sorry, just recovering from a nasty flu, I have an interview on Tuesday...woot.

Nods grimly at Bryson, and begins to bound up the stairs, but is quickly surpassed by the others...

Bindl checks the tracks again

"No wait, they went up'n back down, out to the courtyard and t'the North entrance...We be need'n t'check for survivors, where be Lavinia's other pet group??"

after adding the +8 for perception...=23

"These frogs done come from upstairs...we best check up thar!"

Perception 1d20 ⇒ 9

Tracking 1d20 ⇒ 8
Perception 1d20 ⇒ 15

Bidlplotz goes for the knees once more.

1d20 + 4 ⇒ (11) + 4 = 15
1d20 + 4 ⇒ (15) + 4 = 19
1d6 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4
1d4 + 1 ⇒ (2) + 1 = 3

Bindlplotz repeats the double attack once more.

"Looks like frog's on th'menu t'night me buccos!"

1d20 + 4 ⇒ (3) + 4 = 7
1d20 + 4 ⇒ (5) + 4 = 9
1d6 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5
1d4 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2

But his attacks are hampered as the giant frog steps a foot away from the table...

Bindl will move to P10 in the doorway to attack using both heads of his weapon. he misjudges the distance needed due to holding the weapon in hte middle however.

"Oi, 'owza bout dis, and dis!?"
Hammer 1d20 + 6 - 2 ⇒ (3) + 6 - 2 = 7
Pick 1d20 + 6 - 2 ⇒ (3) + 6 - 2 = 7
Hammer 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5
Pick 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4

Bindl drops the musket and draws his hook hammer while charging, thinking that he should combine the two, or put an impact pistol in the head of the hammer, then charges #5 and attacks.....

1d20 + 6 + 2 ⇒ (17) + 6 + 2 = 25
1d6 ⇒ 6

"Cover your ears!"

1d20 + 8 ⇒ (13) + 8 = 21
4d6 - 2 ⇒ (3, 5, 1, 2) - 2 = 9

Obviously not a human

Bindlplotz will blast the one in the doorway.

Btw, Puposaur is now my Animal Companion if that's alright. I'll actually stat him up and add him as an Avatar

HP Roll1d10 ⇒ 9

Bindlplotz follows up, sneaking toward the mansion. Musket at the ready (bayonetted up)
1d20 + 11 ⇒ (15) + 11 = 26

cool level 4!

Grapple1d20+10

"Big mistake."

OOOO I bet that still missed...something about BAB being part of CMD...

"Oi, Vanthus did this o'is own volition, 'es already killed his parents, only 'is sister survives, we be 'ere on account o'her!"

"We be need'n t'stop this Drevorez afore 'e can do what y'sent 'im t'do!"

"Oi, such a tale, shall become a shanty o'th'sea one day fer'sure"

"That wretch Vanthus skidaddled like a yeller dog tho."

"Aye, we cut down most o'th'wretches, touch by that foul spell, they was."

as he's reloading.

Ghirrak Ironfist wrote:

Intimidate1d20+8

oooo, bad idea...

raises his eyebrow at Ghirrak

"I be Bindlplotz Cogwhistle lass, tinkerer gunsmith."

"Take that y'nasty piece o'work"

draws his second carbine, moves to an area away from his companions (M11), and blasts #9

1d20 + 7 ⇒ (3) + 7 = 10+2 vs humans (ranged touch)
1d8 ⇒ 5+2 vs humans

whew glad that one wasn't in melee with anyone.

Huh, looks like I should have refreshed my page before posting...well in the right spot now. Bindl will draw his hammer, and charge the one facing Bryson, smashing it with the gauntlet.

ATK1d20 + 7 ⇒ (5) + 7 = 12 +2 vs. humans (incl. charge)
DMG1d3 + 2d6 + 1 ⇒ (1) + (1, 2) + 1 = 5 +2 vs humans

Bindlplotz did have those human bane gauntlets didn't he? I totally forgot about those...d'oh!

Seeing the woman in trouble Bindlplotz drops his musket and moves, gauntleted fist and gnomish warhammer at the ready

"Come git some y'gits!" He moves to N14

"Crazy Ghirrak, gonna git urself kilt!"

Fires @ #4 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (7) + 7 = 14 +2 v. humans
4d6 - 2 ⇒ (2, 3, 6, 2) - 2 = 11 +2 v. humans

Then Bindlplotz will make his way forward, to get a bead on one of the ones attacking Harliss in close...

Would Bindl have already reloaded?

Looking back, it seems that Bindlplotz, at least, has taken 11 points of damage since last healing.

"That ring," Annie pointed, slightly squeamish about getting it off the finger, "will help one of us swim, and the rapier and armor are magical. It's good we rescued that crazy girl's stuff from the pool of acid she melted into. The locket is insteresting as...hey, where's Bryson? He's too hurt to run off alone!" Annie runs over to where she saw Bryson disappear.

"Swim y'say...I sure could use a bit o' that kind o'magic after Parrot Island..."

Aye, updating bindl's HP on sheet

Bryson screams in a rage as he shoves by Spinnaker Jon to run on into the maze.
Recovering, Jon wonders "What's eatin' him all of a sudden?"
** spoiler omitted **

Following Bryson deeper into the maze, you eventually come to a sudden widening of the passage into a cavern as it exits the maze.

This cavern has been outfitted with the finest in stolen furniture.
Thick rugs cover the floor, and fine silk tapestries and masterful seascape paintings hang from the walls, giving the place an almost regal feel.
A four-poster bed takes up much of a large nook to the south, and nearby stands an oak desk with a matching armoire.

Alas...

Much of this furniture is ruined; spattered and stained with gore and deeply scarred by swordplay.
A skeletal body dressed in the ruins of a once-fine suit of studded leather lies in a red heap at the foot of the bed.
Five more bodies lie about the room, horribly deformed men and women who seem to have perished on a rapier's point.

Perception: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (17) + 6 = 23

Bindlplotz will gingerly pull the items from the pool of acid...
