I really like this idea, unfortunately, I don't have the deep pockets needed to win one of these auctions. I wish there was a way small pocket people could get involved.
Idea #1: Raffle for one of the books. Each dollar donated it one ticket. Paizo staff picks a ticket at random and winner gets (fill in the blank) ... signed regular copy of Ultimate Magic or Inner Sea Guide.
Idea #2: Purchase any Paizo product on April #, and ___% will go to the red cross.

I understand where you're coming from, and in theory, it's a great idea... but in practice, our lawyer discourages us from running internet contests that involve taking money, especially when the contest also involves luck.

I'll draw Lisa's attention to that idea.

I'll say this as someone who owns a few of Wayne's original art (the hunting horror crashing through a stained glass window from the d20 CoC book, the goblins from the cover of "Burnt Offerings," and Merisiel from the cover of "Hook Mountain Massacre)—his art looks MUCH more awesome in the original form than it does even in high-res scans. The amount of detail he gets in there is amazing. You'll be able to see the brush strokes and the actual buildup of paint on the board when you win this auction, whoever you might be.

You'll have to check with your tax professional, none of us have many ranks in Profession (Accountant).
Shot him an email. Unfortunately he's on West Coast time like you fine folks. And he does not work Saturday. I should borrow some manacles from the Paizo offices.
Top bid for Samurai is just $1.12 above my final bid ... I think I have to get my feet wet in the bids again.

I'm conflicted on this. On one side, I want these items to go cheap to whoever wins the items. At the same time I want these to go high, so that there can be as much money to help with the relief efforts. If only there were a way to have both.
No, I'm not gonna try screwing over anyone.

This is a tax write off right ?
My understanding of the eBay help page for this topic says "no, it's not."
