As for the S&W KS it is starting this summer and is meant to open the eyes to some of our new supporter for RA who are not familiar with the rule set. We will have some nice incentives and some lower prices than retail on this kickstarter but it will not be the craziness that Rappan Athuk is. Also the plan is to get funding to get this book put into the faux-leather cover and into brick & mortar stores. Therefore, you should be able to purchase the book in retail stores this fall (especially for those who need a little break from the kickstarter).
As a bonus goal if we hit the mark we will add art to the S&W Monster book along with more monsters. As a high bonus goal we will contract Erol Otus to do the art.
Actually if someone less Blonde than me wants to start a new post about it then I can comment on it with all the info.
I'm less Blonde!

Haha, thank you!
Here is the plan: Swords & Wizardry Complete Rules
Coming in July: We are going to print the Swords & Wizardry Complete Rules in a tough, signature-stitched hardcover binding for distribution. Start Goal $10,000. If we hit our first Bonus Goal $12,500 we will print the long awaited 2nd printing of the Monster Book with new art and MORE monsters! And if we raise $15,000 we'll have Erol Otus do the Cover Art!

Any word on what the pledge levels are going to be? I'm curious as to what the amount will be needed for the book itself.
Either way, I'm gauranteed to be a backer. =D
Though here is a question for the material itself.
Is the book going to be the S&W Core Rules (materials from some of the 'original' supplements missing)? Or the Complete rules (all rules and information from all 'original' supplements)?
EDIT: Yes I saw the wording 'Complete Rules', I jsut want to verify the definition of what I think it is.
I might not be right with my terminology, feel free to correct me.

Yes the COMPLETE rules with all it's glory.
Pledge $35 or more
Orc: Orc lairs contain the super-durable signature-stitched hardcover copy of the Swords & Wizardry Complete Rulebook, the PDF, and a pad of character sheets. But wait! Down these stairs in the next level, there are even richer rewards...
For the rest of the rewards you'll have to wait until July

I'm definitely in. I have the soft copy of the S&W ruleset but haven't had a chance to play it yet. In addition to perks, I'd like to see in the lower pledges rewards that get you multiple copies of the books. For example if $35 gets you a copy, then I would enjoy seeing something like $70 or such for two copies and so forth. Most of my current players only bought the Pathfinder corebook after months of playing the game so having multiple copies of the rules to pass out when we are first learning the game would be helpful. I suppose I could buy multiple copies of the soft cover, but the new hardback sounds like it will be oh-so shiny, especially if it gets the Erol Otus art.

Is there any difference of the new Complete S&W to the existing Complete S&W book?
Anyway, to fund my kickstarter addiction I want to sell my copy of the limited Edition of the Complete S&W (signed by Bill and Matt). But I can not find a price anywhere. Does someone have an indication of how much I can ask for?

Same book, as far as anything I've seen, except with the better binding that FGG has put on their hardcovers since Tome of Horrors Complete.
I also remember one of the Frogs talking about an updated Monster Book for S&W perhaps being one of the bonus goals for this Kickstarter. To which I say...AWESOME!

Yes. Hopefully along the lines of ToHC, with every monster having it's own page, a description, and an illustration.

Hmm... is there any reason the Red Dragon level will allow me to add my name to the rule book as a Green Dragon slayer?
An error that was caught just after someone pledged the level, which means that BlondeFrog can't do the edit on it. It is corrected in the main text, however.
Red Dragon level means you are listed as a Red Dragon Slayer. Sorry about that!

Woo hoo! I'm a SUPERFAN!
I caved. I'm a Red Dragon Slayer. Green too. :P
I wanted green and Matt changed it to Red at the last minute and I missed that one referencing the green. I still think it should be green but he argued that the hardest dragons to always beat are the red ones so he won out. oh well.

"Frog God Games has a new Kickstarter project: the reprint of the Swords & Wizardry Rules. Everyone is talking about it! These old school rules are right in line with Gary's vision of the game. It is good to see them continuing the tradition started in 1973 and keeping the flame alive. I am so appreciative of the added efforts of Frog God Games to donate a portion of all book sales to the Gygax Memorial Fund. Several other companies are similarly providing support to include, True Dungeon, Wizards of the Coast, and many others. It is wonderful to see our industry coming together to make Gary's memorial a reality." -Gail Gygax

Part of me wants to support the Swords and Wizardry Kickstarter, part of me says that I can't afford it. I never played old school DnD, I started in 3.5, so I play Pathfinder now. The goodies in this Kickstarter are awesome, but I don't think I'd be playing in another system anytime soon.
The thing that makes me consider it is Bill's comment that he taught his kids to play at a young age (5? 8?), and I know that my son won't be able to grasp the Pathfinder rules until he is a bit older.

At TriOmegaZero: I'm only a poor E6 (Trying to make E7) and I can't afford much after Rappan Athuk and Reaper Kickstarters.
