So, I thought I'd post the annoying character I made for the contest. Hopefully whoever fills the last slot doesn't just counter me on purpose (;

Wow. XD I really, really hope I don't face this guy. Haha. I don't have him written up all nicely, but I submitted Marlowe Banes, gentleman fighter. Or should I say Monk?

He's a grappler. That's what he does. He grapples, and sticks close to people. He's also got a surprise item or two up his sleeves for if the going gets tough. Have you seen the video for The Last Laugh? One of the characters submitted for the challenge. It's pretty cool.

I'm actually a bit afraid of monks. If someone makes a monk with deflect arrows, all I can really do to them is rage and furry, which is any man's game.

Ahah, lot of monks, guess we were all scared by will-targeting wizards.
Cranewing, I thought of going monk4-barbarian1 but I thought that alignment prevented it: how did you do that?
I won't post all my character because of a single trick which could benefit me a bit.
Still, generally speaking, I went monk4/cleric1: I was really scared by wizards, I thought they would dominate the tournament in numbers, so I went after that +2 to will saves and picked up a couple of spells. Seeing how it went (I don't see many wizards) it would have been better to go monk4/fighter1.
Key strategies are making use of large number of attacks (3 with ki point) and stunning fist (wis 20 for fun).
Character name is Giorgio (from saint George, I found it ironical since the PC was made to kill skinny wizards instead of mighty dragons).
I guess the tournament will end quickly, I did not expect to find so many other meleers, I did not optimize toward that.

Ah, I've got deflect arrows too, of course.

Crysknife: He drops the Lawful alignment and can no longer gain Monk levels, but retains all abilities.

Crysknife, the monk has to be lawful, the barbarian any non-lawful. He started as a mon, then transitioned to fighter, gave up the law, and later joined with the hill people. He can't get more levels of monk, but he doesnt lose his monk abilities.

Edit: I hope the stunning fist works out.

Note, he was specifically designed to be a more defensive type character, mostly to counteract the good old "cause fear" or "hold person" type tricks.

could have gone either way, especially when you stunned him!
