Just a heads up. I will be leaving Thursday morning for a 4-day retreat at the beach that lasts til Sunday afternoon, then I have a Sunday night concert to attend. I will take my computer with me, but I may not be able to post much til after I get home. Please feel free to bot me if I delay the game at all.

On Monday, my dog goes into surgery and when he returns home on Tuesday, I will be on a full-time home care regimen with him. He needs to be walked with a belly band whenever he needs to relieve himself or get up to get a drink or eat, so it will be a busy time. (He's an almost 100 lb st. bernard puppy, so he can't be carried for these things).

I'll be able to post regularly again starting Monday, but perhaps not as frequently as usual for a while.... Anyway, sorry in advance for any lack of posting on my part. I will do the best I can.

Just a head's up folks to say that I'll be working all week-end, thus my posting will be scarce.

This week has been filled with taxes (mine and my mother's), making offers on a house and my oldest son's fourth birthday (today). So, no appearances from me until tomorrow, probably.

GM, for clarification, what does the bolded part of that statement mean? Is there an additional enemy in play that's not represented on the map, or was something else visible?

The correct sentence is:

@Xanderfel: Your character has no idea if the captain made her save or not! Please refrain from metagaming and select another action, for instance another attribute to give -2.

Edit: rereading my post I understand that Xan notices her "avert her eyes". I assumed that hexes work like targeted spells in that regard.

if a creature's saving throw succeeds against a targeted spell, you sense that the spell has failed. You do not sense when creatures succeed on saves against effect and area spells.

But I apologize if I assumed too much.

Yelek got rather lucky with his rolls so combat wasn't really troublesome but he could have done nothing in social and investigative situations, so everyone contributed fairly to our success! Besides everyone roleplayed their character very well and it was great to read each and every post by all of you.

Also, looking through the Season 8 Faction sheet, I'm assuming Lady Darchana qualifies for the following? Would like to make the attempt if you don't mind? I should be able to auto succeed with a take 10 Knowledge: Arcana for a 19 vs DC 16.

She does qualify but you have to roll the check, you can't take 10 or 20. Furthermore, you can't take 10 on a knowledge roll, unless you have an ability that says so.
I let you make your roll to see if you succeed.

Hrm I've never heard of no take 10 on a knowledge roll. Where does it say that? I'll roll either way.
