Does Usawoti's heal get through? As in - is there wild magic screwing up the check, since for Cure Critical, 20 is insufficient DC.

Damn, only attack that hit missed due to miss chance. Oh well.

Also, I have uncanny dodge, so technically my AC is 42, flatfooted or not. Should have applied it to last elemental fight, but lazy to retcon.

Primal magic, yo!
Concentration check super-needed.
DC for 'critical' is 15+(4*2) = 15+8 = 23. WELP.

As Usawoti seeks to help his friend, magical force spark in a powerful surge from the man, and run wild.

17 : unluck for 55 ft., 11 hours; gust of wind
53 : elemental attack!; Inarus enlarged!
11 : music; deludes wielder

Magical forces surge outward, spiraling across the region in a burst of wind and spreading sickly pale purple light parting the fumes and gasses.

Hey! Gas is gone. Enjoy that? Hmp. Just after I updated, too...

Usawoti - you believe the healing worked; it will be that way for 1 round. Inarus, you know that it did not.

Inarus grows large and strong increase size category by 1, and everything that goes with that, as white dragon begins wailing.

Something of the surges wrap about the deceased flower-woman, and the burned section of her vines quickly begin sprouting, but then transforming into a black, twisted oozing and fleshy thing, pulsing with malevolence, shuddering up along the length of the the formerly thorny vines toward the frosted bulb and leaking female figure inside. "no please hel-" is heard before the very bulb the flower-woman is sitting within... inverts itself, swallowing its own substance as a toothed fleshy something gulps and forms across the surface, consuming the previous creature, even as it cries for help. What is left is a horror - a nightmare to behold.

A cry for help can be heard still emanating from within, even as the monster begins to struggle to rise.

For its part, the dragon rears up as the wind and light strike it.

"D̩͓̼̫E͍̺̯̜̖͙V̻͕O̳̫̯͎̣̳̱-̟͕̗̦̳͖̣Ur-no"

Something was happening.

The creature's voice cracked and seemed... normal, for a dragon.

It wails pitiably, its eyes going dull and its flesh even more pallid and diseased. It reaches its claws forth, and, slapping its face first with its tail weakening the area, rips out a portion of it's own face in obvious horror and remorse, flinging it 1d3 ⇒ 3 at Usawoti.

The gore sticks the barbarian, and begins worming its way inside him - almost as if trying to be devoured by him - and it fuses and binds to his own, seamlessly.

Usawoti: though you're still shaped pretty much exactly like Usawoti, you now have some white scales and a draconic eye on the side of your face. This gives you a +1nAC, and pretty rocking senses: darkvision 300 ft., blindsense 90 ft., lowlight vision (x3 instead of x2), and scent. I'll let you choose how noticeable this is, and, heck, why not - feel free to choose to have a bite attack, or not, your option; GM's fine either way. You're not sure if it's long term or not.

Inarus and Usawoti, the primal magic suddenly snaps, and that distinctive shiver passes through you - it's gone, though it's effects still linger on.

Its remorse vanishes in a growl of hunger from its intestines, and it spins on Inarus.

"n͎̠̮̞͉͙-nó̤̥͎͝h ̶̷̸̙̮̟̻̻ͅm-m-m̢̜̱̩̺͘e͏̲͕̘r̛̲̩̻̰̥̭̳͢sii" it agrees, stupidly, toward the fellow dragon.

Inarus, it's you're go here. After your turn...

Then it attacks!

Roll twice, take the lower...!

Damage: 1d8 + 20 ⇒ (5) + 20 = 25

This is the only turn it gets - it spent a round clawing half its face out.

It's AC is down to 22!

Also, it should totally have been doing cold damage. Not gonna retcon that, but Usawoti, if you're adjacent, you'll take 1d6 per each of its turns.

To clarify the scene: the primal magic just cleared the air, literally, but left behind a pale purple light. The plant lady was somehow swallowed by a new monster that she transformed into and/or that just ate her whole (and she seems to be trapped inside of), and that monster seems to be trying to rise, but seems to be extremely... jittery, and unable to move well or correctly, struggling to even stand on the slick floor. The white dragon ripped out a portion of its face (dealing damage to itself) and flung it at Usawoti, which stuck to the barbarian and grafted itself into him. Inarus has a turn. After Inarus' turn, unless something prevents this, the dragon will full attack Inarus. It will then be Usawoti's turn; he will have to move 20 ft. to flank the dragon, and will not provoke AoOs to do so, but must decide if he's dealing with that, or the weird monster that literally came into existence next to him.

Oh, and music starts playing from nowhere for some reason... (for about half an hour, though that's not obvious, yet).

Oh, and Inarus is huge now.

But... but... you wanted a roc as a pet!
*fake-grumbles*... fine... if I can get my daggum internet to let me post. This will be the third time submitting the stuff in the spoiler for my own purposes...

For Inarus: link one, link two. Note, your character may well age, soon - this size increase may-or-may-not-hint be part of draconic age category shenanigans. So take the simple update with a measured grain of salt.

GM only:

hp 157 (15d8+30+60); plus 78 temp hp {currently: 10 nonlethal damage}
damage: 1d8 + 13 + 1d8 + 13 + 1d6 + 6 + 1d6 + 6 + 1d8 + 20 ⇒ (3) + 13 + (3) + 13 + (1) + 6 + (6) + 6 + (6) + 20 = 77
157 + 10 - 77 = 90

Also, correction: the enemy AC is now down even more, now - to a mere 22! That primal surge was not his friend...

Final thing that you won't like: you've identified that purple light. It's an aura of unluck - everything within must roll d20 checks twice and take the lower. That said, I've updated the full attack above - take the lower of each set of d20 attacks. Oh well, miss chance goes out, unluck comes in. "Hello to the new government, same as the old government." as it were...

It appears I have been using huge for the base damage (copy pasted from the statblock given). There are no further adjustments. I adjusted for str bonus. Edit: Adjusted to gargantuan damage.

Edit: I have knowledge everything lol! And yes I can make DC 23 with take 10.

The base damage was increased for other reasons. You've been treating them as one size larger than they appear on the generic stat-block, but that's because of a thing that Dishadraluongg had going on, and... you know, I really don't remember, anymore, exactly how that happened, so I'm just going to leave it and look it up later. Also, the creature that "ate" the flower woman would be able to be identified by you, via DC 23 dungeoneering.

Mope is ehh complicated. There's one negative level so we're looking at a -1 to all ability checks, -5hp from the neg level itself. So according to my calculations, we're looking at a 1d20-11, in which the save would fail... well, according to my calculations.

Thing is totes evil. Mope is still bleeding out, at present, buuu~uuut... that's mostly because I forgot to roll stuff. It's kind of like the leaves, vines, branches, and berries you guys sprouted - they were forgotten (and, in fact, faded after half an hour, but I should have clarified at the time)... which actually kind of works, as primal stuff sometimes might well be "delayed" for reasons. So anyway, the lack of Mope-targeting is about to be fixed, now. Also, because of internet problems, it was easier to do that in-person, manually.

Mope heaves a pained sigh. As the horse's body shudders from the wracking cold and deadly life-devouring essence of a mad, dying dragon, and the last vestiges of the mysterious primal magic flare within the beast.

”Noooooooo!” Inarus howls with grief as Mope shudders from the wracking cold and deadly life-devouring essence of a mad, dying dragon, then bursts into a puff of smoke. ”I’m sorry, Mope, I shouldn’t have brought you in here. I should have left you outside the tower!” Part of his mind berates him, ’You could have Dimension Doored Mope out of this place to the safe island and flew back in. But did you? No. You lead him to his death, because you were selfish and thought that you might need him in the tower. Keystone business and all.’ He conceals those thoughts from Usawoti, not knowing what his friend would think of him if he could have saved his horse, but chose not to. ”I’m sorry! If I could, I’d make it up to you, somehow!” He picks up the stone and clutches it close to his chest, weeping.

The white dragon, teetering, declares "s-s-ssstttaaaarrrrvvvviiiinnnggg"

... but, pathetically, it seems to be speaking on instinct and habit, with no real understanding.

It's fury, however, nearly mindless as it seems, is all too real.

In the very likely event that it does not survive:
The dragon crumples to the curved floor with a heavy thud. Dead.

The meat wafts in front of Inarus and Usawoti... all that meat, left ready to devour...

Inarus: he was not undead... not yet. He'd begun his slow transformation, and was under some severe curses (ala bestow curse), but those are void now that he's dead, and he never turned into undead. Hypothetically, at least, it wouldn't be unhealthy...

Also, even though he falls, Inarus really can't get into position (as he's so large) to actually attack the dwiergeth this turn. He'll have to do so during his next initiative run.

Inarus gains another use of his gluttony ability from the bridge.

Usawoti's turn.

Usawoti, roll twice and take the better; ignore the unluck aura. If you threaten a crit, you automatically confirm. You have 1d3 ⇒ 1 rounds of this effect left.

In the very likely event of the dwiergeth's death by Usawoti:
With a final blow, the flesh of the creature cracks open before the powerful holy hammer.

Within lies a strange sight - the tiny, tightly-closed bud of a flower, with four vines in hoops - perfectly sized for a leather thong, or even to go about a finger (or the tip of a claw, though that'd be a hard sell). It pulses with life.

In the unlikely event it survives:
The creature totters unsteadily and opens it's tentacled maw, screaming at you in horrid fury.

And now, if things still live, it's Inarus's turn, and/or that other dragon, but I find it unlikely.

Shrugging his shoulders Usawoti tells him "Well actually I'm not sure the beast killed anyone, Mope was turned into a spirit tattoo." Usawoti taps the place on his chest where he knows instinctively that the tattoo exists, then holding up the small plant "And I think the plant lady survived being swallowed buy the other thing."

The creature dies in a burbling pain, and a brief moment of peace crosses its dull face, relieved, at last. Also, it's delicious!

And thus ends the sordid career of Hungerfrost!

Just for clarity: Inarus, on this most recent round, when you attacked the dragon, you gained the same effect as when Usawoti successfully devastated the dwiergeth. The actual primal magic zone is no longer active. But! You are in an unluck that afflicts d20s... except maybe not? Both of you seem immune... at present. Hard to say. Your choice if you want to stay there while you heal.

"Do not fear, my master's friend." says Mope to Inarus in a voice that only Usawoti can hear. "I am alive and very well!" Mope trots around a bit, showing off exactly how alive and well. "Though it is no thanks to those small edible people." the horse adds, miffed, "Or those winds. Honestly, who would think an ordanary horse should fly?" a pause, then, "I suppose I'm not ordinary anymore, but that seems to be the nature of this place; of course, I suppose I never was." he snorts. "Regardless, both of you - like the big edible people who smell good - have done right by me, I think, even if you are a scary barding covered snake with horns and claws." Mope adds to Inarus. "After all, I am now part of my master's own totem!" he adds, excitedly.

Only Usawoti can directly "hear" Mope, it seems, however, by way of their linked essence via hands, the sensation can be freely translated - effectively allowing Inarus to hear it in 'echo' of sorts.

The remaining plant bud warms in Usawoti's hand as Inarus speaks. When Inarus touches it, both he and Usawoti feel a brief moment of... peace. Also of eagerness. A heavenly scent comes from the closed bud.

You may wish to try telepathic communication, or some method of reading thoughts...?

And the thing radiates with powerful - overwhelming - magic, besides.

I need to share this with Inarus Usawoti reaches out to his friend, "Give me you claw Inarus, you should hear this." Grasping one of Inarus' 'talons' with his hand Usawoti lets the words of Mope echo through his thoughts then he decides to ask Mope. "Mope, you say the big edible people who smell good have done right by you, who was it that wounded you so badly and left you in front of the door and who helped keep you alive? Also did you see what happened to Shuvuu or Erevel?"

edit: also GM TL is this place a room or a hallway is there any place else to go other than out?

It's a long hallway. You came from "that way" by a vortex of air that has - literally just now - ceased, and both foes came from the other direction.

"Oh! Of course, Master!" Mope replies. "Indeed, after you left me with so many tasty things, and <bird-friend>" a visual image of Shuvuu is associated with the non-word thought, "we were quite happy."

Mope pauses here, to make sure his audience is still with him.

Then, "But eventually, a <music> happened and then a very beautiful big edible person showed up and we were even more happy. I do not remember much of what happened after that, until she was badly hurt, but eventually things were okay, and we walked a long time. It was quite happy and, though it felt weird, and I think one of them complained, I recall the creatures were tasty." he snorts and shakes his head at his own silliness.

"Anyway, after the <great sound>" an audio moment that reminds both of you of the chanting to reveal the various bridges is associated with the non-word memory, "and strange stink waters, two times, we walked to a big door. There, several of them began discussing things, and then arguing. I only saw it the moment it was too late, I'm afraid - the sharp thing was ripped from the sides of some of the shorter people, even when the bigger ones were talking. They jumped on my head and slammed it into a hard thing, and used their sharp things on my throat." Mope freezes for a moment, a shudder of discomfort and fury flows through him.

He continues, "Nothing happened for a short time, and then I was saved by a beautiful flower lady, before passing out. Though I was not awake, I know magic happened on me - I could feel it being eaten by my rock-self... well, former self, I guess. Thanks for preserving me as me, Master! I liked being a horse best of all! Anyway, lots of magic was used, but I needed seven specific kinds of magic; when that last proper bit was used, the magic flowed out of my rock self into something... an alter, maybe? Sorry! I was asleep! And that's when the rock-self was able to open the way." he nods sagaciously.

Turning to Usawoti (and Inarus), he then happily notes, "Then you came along, Master, and saved me several times, and preserved myself! And here we are!"

Mope is extremely thrilled to be able to recollect things with his master.

'That's excellent news and disturbing news all at the same time.' Usawoti looks from Inarus to Mope then lifts up the little flower bud and holds It for Mope to smell. "Do you remember the beautiful flower lady who saved you? Was she the same one who followed us in here? The one who followed us somehow was turned into this, does it still smell like her or does she smell different? Were hoping she is still herself though different, even as you are still yourself though different and Inarus is still himself though different. I though your sense of smell might help us know."

"Indeed, she smells the same as herself, but if you mean the flower lady who fell down, she is not the nicest or best smelling one, or the one that helped me. She was the other one that was there. There were three. They loved each other very much, and loved the bird and I, but they loved three others even more. And we were missing someone, I think."

Mope thinks for a moment.

"The prettiest and nicest smelling one was not feeling very good, I think, toward the end, though I can't remember too well during that time. And some of the little ones fell down and went into the water on the way there, too? It's hard to recall."

Strong emotions come over Mope's telepathy - emotions mostly of peace and pleasant tranquility. Emotions that feel identical to Shuuvu, via the empathic link right now.

Lifting the carrot he asks Mope, "I don't suppose you would still enjoy a carrot would you? I will try and make this the last question for me, Do you remember who bird is with?"

Usawoti smiles Mope would you return to your place, near my heart?' Once Mope had returned as a tattoo on Usawoti's chest he asks Inarus, "Are you ready to attempt healing? Blushing a little "Or maybe for Yephima, she would look good in white. Stand still for now."

Usawoti removes the wand and begins tapping Inarus so fast the wand looks like a Metronome set for a speed metal band. Smiling as he sees Inarus' dragon body heal, Usawoti uses the rest of the wand on himself.

clw: 4d8 + 4 ⇒ (5, 1, 4, 7) + 4 = 21

After any questions Inarus asks...

Mope is only too happy to oblige, and quickly surges back, joyously, to the place near Usawoti's heart! The shaman feels him there, strong and vigorous, and the man surges with his steed's emotions!

Usawoti: once I finish formatting it so it doesn't look like complete garbage (like it does now), I'll PM you the exact details of what Mope can do.

I'm off to pick up my Eldest from school!

I'm NOT eating a fellow dragon. That's cannibalism. I have standards!
Inarus resists the urge to eat Hungerfrost up, even as his mouth waters from the smell of the dead dragon.'I do NOT eat sentient species. I am better then that.'

Inarus looks at the ghostly horse with his mouth gaping open.

In telepathic speech - I don't know if you can speak normally to a spirit lol

"Mope...are you really happy as you are?"Inarus asks tentatively. 'It seems that Mope doesn't seem to mind too much...being a spirit' Inarus thinks to himself.'Then maybe I shouldn't feel so bad about the whole thing.' He feels some guilt ease off his heart."Big edible person?"He asks Mope incredulously. "So there was one big edible person who was joined by many big edible people who did nasty things to you."He begins to understand what has happened."Do you know where the prettiest flower lady and the bird went to?"

Out loud

"I think those fungus people used Mope to open the way in. I think there were a total of six people. Could Erevel be the beautiful flower lady?"

Telepathy to Usawoti

"You were right about the plant lady. I am sorry to have doubted you. But without knowing everything, it would not have been right to make any judgements prematurely."

Telepathy to the Necklace

"Milady, are you all right? Is there anything I can help you with?"

"Of course!" says Mope. "I am more free and more smart than I have ever been in any iteration! It is good, and Master has a totem spirit from his very own Quah to aid him! This is good!" declares Mope by way of Usawoti.

"There were three big edible persons, who loved to three slightly-less-big edible persons." Mope said. "None of them seemed to like the little edible persons, much - and no wonder! The little edible persons cut me with sharp things from their insides!" declares Mope.

He snorts.

Then, "I'm afraid I don't know what happened to the prettiest flower lady and the <bird-friend> - I was not awake![/i]" says Mope. "But the third pretty flower lady - not the one here just now, or the other, was the one who put stuff on me to keep me alive until master and you found me." he says.

"Well, they used the rock-me to open the way in." says Mope. "They didn't know how to do it very well, though." he explains.

"I can't be sure, but I think the little edible people thought my blood was needed to get in. How ridiculous! They are kind of stupid!" Mope laughs, generating a whinny-like sound, as mirth bubbles into your spirits... then shudders a bit, thinking of his near-brush with death.

"I am glad you like her, too! She has been very nice to <bird-friend> and I!"

Thereafter, Mope dives into Usawoti's chest. Recall, even though Mope is a tattoo, he can still do stuff, like respond to Usawoti's queries and run in galloping motions around Usawoti's body...!

===========================

Telepathic communication is technically only to Inarus, but I'm presuming that it is shared by Inarus across the link.

In your mind, the jewelry seems startled.

"... lady" it responds to your telepathy, softly, shyly, tentatively, "... yes i see that is i" she accepts the designation. "your lady"

The sense of a slow nod of understanding. "once quigaz'ir'eter but she died and now i am become lady that belongs to you both and you both to i"

A pause, and the sense of blinking. "or am i wrong and you will fight over me or whatever it is you flesh do" she sounds apologetic and even more nervous than normal, "i do not understand your ways"

Then, "how can you help me" she ponders. "i could eat" she offers. It's clear she doesn't know how that works, either.

Also, Inarus, you've healed 109 hp. Again, no rush - it's not going to come into play tonight, I don't think, but :D

"What is a Quigaz'ir'eter. No, we wouldn't fight over you?"He projects back. "Why did you follow us down? And what would you like to eat?"

"quigaz'ir'eter was me" she whispers softly, shyly, in your mind. "i was quigaz'ir'eter" she explains, nervously.

"i am sorry to presume" she quavers at your rejection of fighting over her, "i simply thought all flesh was like the brutes" a pause, "please do not trample me"

At the offer of food, she perks up, mildly. "if you have fresh blood, putrefied meat, or perhaps some delicious waste matter, that could be ideal" she adds, still shy, but clearly encouraged, then, hedging, worried; "or i could simply have some water"

The ring continues to smell as she did - heavenly and of every delightful flower in the most pleasant of mixed scents.

"Hrmmm..." Inarus ponders out loud. He puts the plant necklace on the white dragon. 'Even if I don't eat dragon...probably something does. And plants decomposing things is more or less a natural phenomenon.Waste not want not.' He thinks pragmatically. 'Makes sense in a way. If he killed her previous form, its just deserts that she gets to eat him.'

Telepathy

"I wouldn't trample you. Not on purpose. But I am...sorta big. And not very used to my new size. I'll try my best to be careful." He assures her.

"This work? Else we'll probably need to wait till we get out of here."

'I will take the hide and have an armor made for YeYe.' After healing Inarus and himself until the wand runs out, Usawoti starts to skin the dragon. Carefully removing the hide, attempting to cut as few of the scales as possible.

Yes, he is. Also, you skin the heck out of that dragon! You have dragon bones, dragon flesh, dragon skin, and dragon scales!

The ring stays there for a few moments, but nothing actually happens. Eventually, Usawoti gets to work - the ring clearly isn't "eating" anything.

"Sorry, we'll have to wait till we get outside then, or maybe later, we'll manage to find something." Inarus makes it a point to remind himself to knock out the next living thing that attempts to eat him. He's got a new plant friend to feed, afterall!

"See, I told you you should have prepared the water creating spell." He pokes Usawoti.

He then purposefully moves down the tunnel.

'She was a flesh eating monster who preferred sentient beings. as Usawoti continues removing the hide of the dragon, "You could let her drink the blood of the dragon, it wouldn't be cannibalism since she is a plant. Either way let me finish skinning it I want to make a suit of armor for my bride. "

What do you do with the ring? Does Inarus thread a leather thong through it as an bracelet/anklet, or give it to Usawoti as either a necklace or ring? Do you just carry it, or put it away? Something else?

Aaaaaaaaaallllso, do either of you have a decent method of identifying magical items? Because, as Inarus would note with detect magic, that seems to be what she has become, now.
