"Ye're having that often?" Besmara asks Royster. "I mean ugly people trying to occupy your home." she jokes looking at the dead fishmen.

"Happens more often than you think. But at least this time they didn't make it." McCleagh replies dry.

Female Human Pirate (7) AC19/14/15, FRW+7/+9/+4, Ini+6, Perc+12, Sail+13

"You mean they try that regularly?" Besmara inquires.

"For the sahuagin - or fishmen as you call them - it was a first." McCleagh comments hiding a smile and walking inside.

Besmara is still outside, while you sit in a cozy dining room on the second floor. And the comment from Royster is meant as an insult ;)

In that case, are there any local areas where you know Sahaguin to live?
If they attacked here once, they may do so again, and I would rather fight them on our terms then on theirs.

"Sorry Darlin, we're stuck here in the Rock. I got no idea where to find them." Agasta replies.

hmmm... I assume you don't like that situation, correct?
If not we need to come up with a long term solution that gives you far more freedom.

"YOU are the solution to that situation. I'm fine sitting here on my nice little castle. I've been here for decades. It's the fact that I had no means to reach out from here." she replies. She takes her glass of wine from the sideboard wher eshe put it for the fight and takes a sip.

"You'll get a list of things we need and can't make ourself every time you anchor here and I'll tell you what ails me when we're in private. And then you decide what to do about that."

Well yes, for now we can reach out from here, but longer term we would want to grant you more guards so you can control the local area even when we aren't here.

"That problem is solved simply by money." she replies laying her arms around Lito's neck folding the hands behind his head looking him into the eyes. "Did I marry rich?" she asks with a wry smile.

"Let us go in. There is a buffet that needs eating and out here are only cold dead fish." Besmara tells and enters the tower. As she comes into the dining room and sees Lady Agasta with Lito her frustration grows.

She takes a seat with Rosie, Estelle and Owlbear. "Give your Captain a drink. I don't wanna be the last one sober."

"Sos them there gills allow ye to breath under water and the air? Hows do I gets me a pair?" Estelle is pretty drunk

Female Human Pirate (7) AC19/14/15, FRW+7/+9/+4, Ini+6, Perc+12, Sail+13

Besmara slides her seat closer to Trytton. "That's pretty simple. Ye find a fish that is large enough, or that fishmen we fought. Then ye cut off the gills and put them on yer neck and bind them inta place. Then ye wait a day ta see if they grow onto yer neck. Et voila, water breathing. Wanna try? I'll help ya."

"Sleeping with a Gillman is one supposed way. But Trytton doesn't seem to offer." Besmara comments.

Couldn't post yesterday because paizo was out and just now I found the copy of the post reminding me.

Agasta leads Lito to her room which is next to the dining room. Her room is the most spacious one in the castle and holds the only true fireplace, a peatburning affair that is rarely lit in these tropical climes. A comfortable but sagging couch stands before the fireplace, along with a small writing table and pair of chairs. An old sea chest stands before an elegant bed, next to an antique armor stand. The armor stand holds Iron Bert Smythee’s famed "iron shirt".

"Welcome to our room" she invites him in and closes the door behind him. "Make yourself comfortable." she offers and takes a seat on the bed herself.

Lito looks briefly around the room with interest, noting the armor but passing over it before walking to the bed and taking Agasta's hand and saying:

Very nice room, but I'm interested in opening the true treasure here.
Then he kisses her hand and tries to pull her up into an embrace.

While Lito and his new wife start to get to know each other, a small feathered head peers through the window.

Sqwak, now to get a gander at how these weird humans get busy

Narrator

Agasta closes the curtains and locks the door to make sure this is private and uninterrupted. (The rest is only for Lito's fantasy :)

Outside the party goes on for a while. A few hours and a couple of drinks later Estelle gets a gill transplant with the gills from one of the dead sahuagin. Finally all go to sleep somewhere on the floor or nod off on their chairs. In this tropical climate most wake up the next day in the late morning with a bad hangover to the stink of rotten fish.

In the room of Lady Smythee it is bearable due to the closed door but the smell slowly seeps in there too.

Agasta gets up and opens the window. "What's this awful smell?"

Walking over to the armor stand she strokes over the armor. "That was my last husbands armor. If he would have worn it on his last jouney maybe he'd be still alive. I'd prefer you not finding such an end, so if it's of use to you please use it."

Moving to the chest she gets out a spyglass and holds it out to Lito. "That is a magical spyglass that can be used to a great advantage from the top of the rock."

The armor is a a buccaneer’s breastplate. This +1 breastplate is made of shining amber metal and decorated with faint motifs of the waves and water. It allows the wearer to continually utilize the effects of the spell water walk. If a creature puts on the armor while underwater, the wearer is borne toward the surface at a rate of 60 feet per round.

The Spyglass is a farglass. This telescoping brass spyglass functions as a normal spyglass and allows clear vision to the horizon 3 miles away at sea level. From atop a typical crow’s nest or 70-foot-tall tower like Tidewater Rock, this vision extends to over 10 miles. Once per day, the user of a farglass can activate a clairaudience/clairvoyance effect upon any location seen through the farglass’s lens. As long as the location is kept in sight through the lens, the clairaudience/clairvoyance sensor can move with the location. This effect lasts for up to 5 minutes.

Besmara wakes up yawning, which is really bad in this surrounding.

The air sucked in is met half way by the contents of her stomach that want to get out again. She gets her mouth full of gastric acid and takes a run for the privy.

They are both princely gifts... and I would be honored to use both, however Inever learned to fight in armor that heavy... I would have to look to see if I could learn to use it. But that spyglass, that is just perfect. It will be an excellent tool to make us both rich.

However, ringtone we need to see what that smell is.

Perception to sniff out where the source of the smell is: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (1) + 11 = 12

Narrator

It is easy to tell, that there is fresh air at the window and not so fresh air when close to the door.

"Make us both rich. I like the sound of that. I can tell from experience that it is much nicer to be rich than to sit on your last few coins." Agasta replies.

Then he heads out the door.

As he walks down the stairs with Besmara he says:
Oh, I have something that will probably help us a little with our raids...
He proceeds to tell her about the spyglass.

Female Human Pirate (7) AC19/14/15, FRW+7/+9/+4, Ini+6, Perc+12, Sail+13

"That's a nice advantage. Let's see if it shows you something worthy to loot." Besmara replies. She enters the ship's boat with everyone willing to come and goes back to the ship with it.

Narrator

Lito changes his post to crows nest. Looking through the farglass he finds - about two miles away - the singlemasted Chelish naval cutter, Famished Mane tied together with the pirate brig Vorsfang. The Chelaxians are apparently about to win the fight.

Using clairaudience:
"Once the fight is over, bring them all below deck and set she ship on fire." the Chelaxian Captain orders one of his marines. "We're burning that pirate scum's ship to the waterline."

Lito relays the situation to the captain.

They are about to burn the Vorsfang. We could avoid the whole situation, or if we shan't to slaughtered all the marines, we might get ourselves an allied pirate crew that is in our debt.
Looks to be very high risk high reward.

If we can close quickly on them, I can give us a significant advantage if Chey can make some fog.

Female Human Pirate (7) AC19/14/15, FRW+7/+9/+4, Ini+6, Perc+12, Sail+13

"Chelaxians? All men on deck! Get the ship on the way we're going to sink these bastards!" Besmara shouts. This is personal. "We're going to ram them and then kill every single one of them."

Narrator

With the experienced crew, and the improvements of the ship it is under way in no time. Impact in about seven minutes.

Be creative in how you're going to hide the approach.

Then he gets the port watch organized so that 5 of them are ready to repel borders, 5 of them are helping with the siege weapons and 10 of them have bows.

I believes we have +1 strength composite longbows for our crew, light? Or are they crossbows?
