Female Shifter Rogue 9

"Worth a try." Karkalla checks out the door and has a listin.

Perception (+3 if there is a trap)

1d20 + 13 ⇒ (11) + 13 = 24

GM

Karkalla does hear some type of movement on the other side. Maybe something talking or growling or something in low tones.

Ranger 2/ Magus 7

Toxim will move closer to Karkalla to better provide her with cover.

Female Shifter Rogue 9

"Well there is definetly somethin in there movin about" She informs the others as she listens "Na idea who or what though."

Warforged Fighter 2 / Incarnate 4 / Ironsoul Forgemaster 3

As long as noone tells him otherwise, Guard keeps up his detect evil, not concentrating on the source he knows of, but turning his senses every some seconds to cover the surroundings full circle, just to keep on the watch.

Male Half-elf (abyssal bloodline) Sorcerer 1/Monk (weapon adept) 4/Abyssal Disciple 4

"Why don't we open the door a tiny crack and see what's inside? I'm sure that whoever's in there heard us fighting already."

Finn moves up behind Toxim and Karkalla and also listens at the door.

1d20 + 24 ⇒ (6) + 24 = 30

GM

Without opening the door, Finn learns little more then Karkalla did, however he thinks he hears more then one creature. He would guess several at lest.

Female Shifter Rogue 9

Karkalla opens the door slightly and glances in

Perception

1d20 + 13 ⇒ (15) + 13 = 28

GM

Karkalla does not get much of a look of the room past the door, it looks to be about 20 feet wide and craved from stone, but as soon as the door is opened she hears the hackles of baboons, but the ones she glances at are not normal, the are the wrong color, and have spikes and horns in places they should not. Karkalla has just enough time to slame the door shut if she wants, because the scream in rage and start charging toward the door.

You can slam the door, make an attack or something else if you like as a full mob of baboons are running toward you.

Female Shifter Rogue 9

".......Ah feck" She yells as she slams shut the door and puts her weight behind it "Uh ya may want ta find a way ta block this door and use the other one."

GM

The baboons slam into the door, she can feel them pulling trying to get though, fingers appear under the door and though cracks in the side as the howls grow louder.

You can try a str check to hold the door closed, but without some way of blocking it, baboons do have hands and they will get it open.

Ranger 2/ Magus 7

"This promises to be fun." Toxim casts Enlarge Person on Ardanto.

Female Shifter Rogue 9

"Feck." She yells again as she releases the door and draws her repeater hoping to get off a shot As the monkeys open the door.

Fighter Level 9

Ardanto flexes his biceps as he grows bigger and grabs both his swords, he looks at Toxim and asks "There seems to be an awful lot of them."

"Mob", I hope that it is not that silly "mob" template they created so they could have angry pitchfork wielding commoners chasing Frankenstein?

He moves closer to the edge of the cliff and gets ready for the howling mass.

Ranger 2/ Magus 7

"Well I know how much you like to the center of attention. That's why I always choose you to make big."

Male Half-elf (abyssal bloodline) Sorcerer 1/Monk (weapon adept) 4/Abyssal Disciple 4

Finn will help keep the door closed.

Strength: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (17) + 7 = 24

"Daurros...I don't suppose you could offer a little magical help?"

Male Human Wizard (Universal) 9

"No, I do not have hold portal as a known spell. I suggest we prepare for battle."

Daurros pulls out his scroll of haste from his pack, and casts it on everyone.

Male Half-elf (abyssal bloodline) Sorcerer 1/Monk (weapon adept) 4/Abyssal Disciple 4

"Blast it, what kind of magic does that guy know?", Finn mutters to himself.

GM

I'll try and updat a bit later, but its thanksgiving here so I don't know. Anyhow some of you are on the floor, 20 feet below Karkalla,Finn and toxim. Unless some of you climbed up. And maybe there might be a silly tmeplet involved.

Male Half-elf (abyssal bloodline) Sorcerer 1/Monk (weapon adept) 4/Abyssal Disciple 4

"So what are we going to do? I can't keep this door closed forever..."

GM

Ok who is doing what? Is ardano on the ground or did he climb up? Who is on the ground? I am guessing Ardanto is on the upper edge? If so I have two sets of actions. Well four really, Karkalla has her crossbow out, Finn Has the door. Am I missing anything?

The Baboons hit the door, but so far Finn has been able to keep the door closed, but the push and grasp at the door even as he leans into it.

Female Shifter Rogue 9

Karkalla looks around for anything that might be usable to blockade the door.

Perception

1d20 + 13 ⇒ (18) + 13 = 31

GM

The only thing you can see is three bodies and the mirror, you may need to use to leave

Female Shifter Rogue 9

"short of somewhow collapsin that doorway I think one way or another we are going ta have ta deal with them."

Male Human Wizard (Universal) 9

"As I said, I suggest we prepare for battle." I will hold my casting of haste until everyone finally agrees and gets ready for the fight.

Just to give everyone a 'head's up' - my December is going to be extremely hectic. I will be in China from December 3-7; then in Italy from December 10-15. Finally, we leave for vacation (Florida) on the 17th and will be back on January 3rd. From past experience, I will likely have limited internet while in China and Italy, and posting may be spotty while in Florida. I will update as often as I can, but if anything gets held up while waiting for me, feel free to DMPC Daurros as needed.

Ranger 2/ Magus 7

Wait until everyone gets ready for a fight? We're assaulting the demon stronghold. If you're not ready for a fight you're already dead.

Male Half-elf (abyssal bloodline) Sorcerer 1/Monk (weapon adept) 4/Abyssal Disciple 4

"Okay, I'm opening the door on 'three'. Get into position, everyone. One...." Finn begins counting.

GM

On three Finn steps back allowing the Baboons to force open to door and they pour out in great numbers. They swarm everyone upon the top cliff, biting and clawing and climbing as they go. Finn and Ardanto manage to kill half a dozen but still they come.

Finn, Ardanto, Toxim and Karkalla all take 14 damage

I am guessing Daurros and Guard are on the ground, everyone else I am guessing is up top. I took your AoO's and assumed the haste spell was cast as it was ready. So new round

Init:
Doesn't really matter, the baboons rolled a 3, everyone goes first.

Would Karkalla not get a shot at them? I may have worded it badely but further up I was indicating she was taking a ready action (shoot them as soon as they open the door.)

GM

Sorry guys I had/Have some RL issues. Sorry for the lack of updates.

Although the baboons are numerous, they are no match for the Falcons. soon they all lay dead at you feet, mostly in pieces more often then not.
With the threat gone you can look into the foul smelling room. It seems to have no exits, but an iron grate in the middle and a stone throne at the far end of the room.

Female Shifter Rogue 9

Karkalla has a look around the room

Perception

1d20 + 13 ⇒ (20) + 13 = 33 + 3 for traps

GM

You notice scuff marks on the floor where the throne has been moved. Pulling the throne out you find what looks to be a hidden door.

Female Shifter Rogue 9

Perception check for traps

1d20 + 16 ⇒ (13) + 16 = 29

If she fails to find any traps Karkalla attempts to open the door.

GM

She finds no traps and the door leads to a small room. Its damp and foul smelling but holds two chests. One on the left side and one on the right side. Both chests are covered in etchings of flames, which may be symbolism of some type. Both are also locked.

Female Shifter Rogue 9

Karkalla looks both chests over for traps

1d20 + 13 ⇒ (11) + 13 = 24

Fighter Level 9

Ardanto can not help but think nothing good comes from poking around in other peoples locked possessions as he remembers an incident with a young lady and a chastity belt purely fictitious, and part of the play that created this alter ego He nudges Daurros and winks, aware that he is covered in baboon gore. "I don't suppose I have to tell you to be careful Karka?" he calls out. "Why are there two chests? Are we supposed to link it to the two tunnels in the entrance and the two thrones that brought us here?" he inquires out loud.

Female Shifter Rogue 9

"Or maybe they have so much stuff they need two boxes just ta hold it all?"

Male Half-elf (abyssal bloodline) Sorcerer 1/Monk (weapon adept) 4/Abyssal Disciple 4

Finn curls his lips in distaste at the sight of the baboon-befouled room. He doesn't let go of "Vanderboren's Justice" for a second, still stung by his miserable performance during the bar-lguras' initial assault.

GM

The left chest is trapped, Karkalla manages to disable it and open the chest, which is empty. The Right chest however is not trapped and far from empty. It contains thousands of gold and silver coins, resting on top is a Finely made Buckler of silver with the crest of old Galifar upon it, an Iron Monky Paw and a wand with the stamp of House Jorasco.

Female Shifter Rogue 9

"Any idea what those things are?" She asks the others whilst pointing out the wand and monkey paw

Ranger 2/ Magus 7

Aid other (I assume Daurros) to identify items.
Wand 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (12) + 11 = 23
Buckler 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (1) + 11 = 12
