The heroes move into a drawing room
This cozy-looking drawing
room is marred by the
unnatural dampness and the thick
sheets of mold that cling to the curtains
closed over the southern window.
Looking in the window Fernus is sure that he saw a woman's sad face looking at him, but nothing else comes of it. Griff follows. unless you take him outside
Other than being spooked our heroes move on into the library
This library features two chairs, one of which lies on
its side, before a stone fireplace. A scarf, its reds and
golds contrasting with the drab palette of the room,
is draped over the side of the fallen chair. A book sits
facedown on the floor between the chairs. A stone
bookend, carved to look like a praying angel with
butterfly wings, lies on its side in the fireplace itself.

After collecting his mess kit and storing it and his waterskin he follows the group into the drawing room. He grumbles some.
"Since Griff is following let's take him outside." He offers following Tarin's logic.

Fernus pats griff on his head a last time before he returns back in to the building as well.
"This place sure is creepy. I don't know what I'm wishing for, but I'd rather fight with something physically then get startled and scared by apparitions in the windows and mirrors."

"Stupid haunted house, Bear, Unalaq pull that off of him. Should I channel? Unalaq are you not scanning for evil in here?" Loarin says scared and startled considering he was thinking of inspecting the scarf too, he knows he can't do much except channel right now.

Once Tarin is free, "We need to just make sure there is no one alive in this place then burn it to the ground. Is there any room we have not checked yet? Let's keep moving."

Fernus immediately reacts in a reflex and shouts: "Tarin! Hold on!"
Fernus speaks a few magical words and suddenly most of Tarin's neck and face is covered in a greasy substance in the hope that it's easier to get the scarf of Tarin's neck.

Loarin looks at Unalaq like he is crazy, his eyes getting really big in shock, and runs from the mansion. He stays outside with Griff until they are done or until they try to persuade him to come back inside. He also spends some of his time collecting wood and placing it next to the exterior walls of the mansion.

Tarinhil gasps for air as the scarf falls, then rubs his throat, grumbling, "I'm really starting to hate this place.", and throws back his extract of Cure Light Wounds, using his Boro Bead to refill the flask when he finishes.
Not that it mattered, but I forgot the heroism -- assuming it's still in effect.

Lets out a sigh, "This place is insane...." then looks to the group, "I guess I'll go get Loarin."
Stepping outside, she watches the man gather wood. "Any reason for that?"

"The wood wall is to help make the place burn. Do you even realize what it means when an aura of evil is so strong that you can't determine separate auras?!? Pure evil, any living thing in there will be better off burnt to death than rescued. I am all for redemption but I will not go back into that place if it is as bad as Unalaq says." Loarin says adamantly.

Fernus hears the shout and scream of Loarin and tries to look out a window, trying to catch a glimpse of what has happened.
"Good that you are safe Tarin. I wonder what more this house has in store for us."
Fernus says as he stares out a window and a shiver crawls up his spine.

Unalaq joins Fernus at the window. "Why does he run? All I said was that the entire house was evil. A nice trick, but not nearly as nice as my club." He smiles widely. "He'll be back."

Bear walks out, checking on Loarin, seeing him running away. He looks at the house and growls.
This place will burn when we are done. he calls to the others, I am going to get him. Stay near the entrance til' we get back okay?
Bear jogs after him and then brings him back...after 15 rounds...lol

He comes back with Bear, "Like I said, I was speaking with Valeria and setting up some timber next to the house and an horrible fear ran over me and I fled. I really do not want to go in there and just want to burn the place to the ground. Demons, ghosts, or worse possess the entire house I do not want to go back in, I will wait and collect fire wood."
