fort: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (8) + 8 = 16
yay I'm fine. Wouldn't detect magic help find the little item in the saddle? Otherwise I'd suggest we thoroughly check out this room and should be able to find it?

Torche will detect magic to see if the vial radiates as magical. Once he finishes with that, he moves to help with the examination of the items in the room. "That skeleton is worth quite a bit. Some of these other items too I bet."
Spellcraft (spiked gauntlet): 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (4) + 10 = 14

btw wasn't the human evil? Then I would have had 26 ac against her attack ;)
"These are some magnificent items. What else will we find here. Although... weren't we warned not to touch anything? On the other hand I will not be told what to do by a demon illusion." Aviendha says.

Calistan doesn't like the look of any of this stuff and avoids it. Anxious to move on.
How much damage did Calistan take when Aviendha got hit?

![]() |

@Calistan, it seems 0. In hindsight one of the attacks missed so Aviendha only took 4 damage. And I think you only transfer damage if it's 5 or more
Torche isn't able to make out what the 3-fingered gauntlet does..other then being magical.
The black amulet is shaped like a tick and doesn't have a string..it seems to be activated by pressing it against the flesh of your neck and having it dig into your body. It seems to do something with making your skin tougher.
(Let me know what you take with you and where you want to go next and we'll take it from there)

![]() |

She has Shield Other so it is 2 damage split between us.

![]() |

"I'll try to use the tick. Hardening of the skin should make me tougher." Aviendha says as she presses the tick against her neck.
please don't be cursed :p

![]() |

The ticks legs bury itself deep withint Aviendha's skin, it stings a lot..but just as Aviendha thinks she needs to tear the tear of before the pain kills her it stops. Experimenting and trying to see if it can be removed results in similar pain, but other then pain it doesn't seem to effect Aviendha's well being.
(It works like an amulet of natural armor +1 , including the slot - necklace - it uses)
Exits in the rooms are a door to the west, a door to the east and a door to the north (up the stairs to the NW side)

wee ac 25 now :d. Sorry can't update it in my stats. Paizo and mobiles don't mix.

I think Aviendha has both her HP and the hippo's hp in her stats rather then hp/max hp.
"There's more doors over here, which one should we check first?" Marcel asks, noting the doors to the left and the right of the center of the room.

![]() |

what marcel said :) Aviendha is at 29 hp.
"Hmm any tracks perhaps? Go seek some boy!" Aviendha says to the hippogriff.

Calistan agrees with Grimdoc's determination!

![]() |

Since everyone seems fine with opening a door..but nobody actually picked one.....going to make the choice even worse:
Opening the door to the west the party sees a short corridor leading to a crossroads;
Above the door to the west;
A carving over the door to this room, written in Azlanti, reads,
"Enigma of the Midnight Sun."
Above the door to the south;
A carving over the door to this room, written in Azlanti, reads,
"Enigma of the Sky Seeds."
Above the door to the north;
A carving over the door to this room, written in Azlanti, reads,
"Enigma of the Dark Tapestry."

![]() |

Unable to read any of the carvings, Samuel points to the west.
"I suggest we take this route."
I have no incharacter reason for that decision, just rolled a d3 at home for which route to pick at random.

![]() |

Calistan agrees!

![]() |

Opening the door which has a carving over it, written in Azlanti
"Enigma of the Midnight Sun." Samuel looks in to see;
The curved western wall of this room depicts a vast field of stars with such realism that one feels perched at the edge of an infinite gulf.
1d6 ⇒ 4
You become fascinated by the surreal view and struck with a strange conviction that you could step out of the room and fall into the sky (stand or sit quietly, taking no actions other than to pay attention to the fascinating effect - A fascinated creature's ally may shake it free as a standard action.)

![]() |

Will Save: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (10) + 1 = 11

![]() |

Will: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (19) + 4 = 23
Calistan looks on in awe of the sweet wall, but becomes confused when Samuel seems to gaze off, unflinchingly.
If I can shake it off of him, then I will.

![]() |

Will: 1d20 + 1 ⇒ (12) + 1 = 13
Walking into the room, Marcel finds himself silently astonished by the view. He stands there until someone shakes him free.
Perception: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (16) + 8 = 24 Marcel then glances around the room to see if there is anything else of interest.

![]() |

reckon we take everything we can carry with us :p
Are you sure? You can ..even though some of it weighs a lot...but just to be absolutely clear here...you are carrying everything you can? Just wanting to make sure..and if so...Aviendha is the one carrying the stuff ? ;) (other then Torche carrying the 3-fingered gauntlet)
Calistan shakes Samuel and he recovers from him stare into space..only to have Marcel gaze start to wander...

![]() |

Well we take things that we can use or easily carry. Up to the saddle, so no bones, we can come back for that. Could someone identify the tree banes items? Spear insect leg and other thing.

Grimdoc doesn't spy anything fishy on the door and then opens it to see;
This large chamber is overgrown with foul-smelling mounds of strangely colored, shuddering fungi, many of which glow with a sickly green luminescence. A large alcove to the west seems less overgrown.
Metal bars wall off this alcove, but a door in the bars hangs ajar.
There are also 2 swollen, brainlike bulbs encrusted with fungal shelves squats atop several ropy legs. A wide mouth bisects the bulb's crown
These are ceberic fungi a type of plants, who can bite and have tentacles with reach (more information depending on roll)

Only 20ft of move, so I had to double move to get where I am.
"What are these things?"

Grimdoc moves into the room and swings his lucern hammer in a wide arc, but it just passes every so slightly over the top of the plant thing (doesn't hit flatfooted AC)
I still don't think that the hippogriff can actually get in the room..no room to fly..no ability to squeeze since there's players in the way and not solid dungeon features..but for now going to go with it
Aviendha and her hippo attack one of the creatures and manage to hit it.
Marcel then strolls into the room and attack the other one.
