Kaylor Traice |
Kaylor looks at the door to the large building, testing the edge of his blade with his thumb as he speaks. "Since we have no idea what's inside or how many to expect, perhaps Elmar should crawl in through the ducts to scout? Avelloran, by any chance do you have message prepared to stay in communication with our scout? If not, I can send Tiny Tim. If I feel extreme stress and concern from him, we'll know something has gone wrong."
Silver Bullet |
I'm heading to the left secret entrance so we can clear out that area then ambush whoever is in the main part of the building with those other secret entrances, if you all want to miss out on some possible interesting battle, suit yourself. And don't forget, these blue prints says the walls are sound-proof, so noise made in that room, won't attract anyone in the main entrance door.
DoubleGold |
It does not matter who scouts but whoever does sees this. You also have +10 to your stealth because of conditions, so they have to be really perceptive and your stealth would have to suck.
Silver Bullet |
Silver goes over to it to hit it hit: 9 + 1d20 ⇒ 9 + (3) = 12
damage: 2d6 + 3 ⇒ (5, 3) + 3 = 11 bludgeoning and some of the organs are squished, but not hard. don't worry, everyone still gets exp for this, even though only two poeple are fighting, also if anyone else would have gone to the west door, let me know so I can add you and your init to the combat.
Elmar Thonsson |
Elmar will use his surprise round action to cast Abundant Ammunition, and then pop up through the floor. Do we beat their init?
DoubleGold |
um, elmar, they don't notice you until you pop up from under the floor, so you can cast as many buffs as you want and then attack them in the surprise round. You are also in a different combat than silver and zub, but the other players can join whatever combat they like, but after your decision of surprise attack, you will have init 17 then I'll roll the enemies after the attack, because you just might one shot something
DoubleGold |
I guess we're nixing the scouting plan.
The Adventures of Silver Bullet and Zuberu will have to wait for another time.
Hey two different combats at once means the game goes faster, now to see which combat the others join if any. Also, if you go through the main entrance, you don't get a surprise round and like the rules, only two people can fit in the underground space and pop out.
Elmar Thonsson |
Technically, using stealth to crawl through the corridor would probably require Elmar to be on his hands and knees anyway, so I'll assume he uses the surprise round to draw his bow.
Also, what's he fighting? Whether or not it's undead has an effect on the buffs he'll throw down.
Nahoçe Sijed |
Nahoce will join Elmar, casting Shield of Faith first for an effective AC of 27.
What are we facing? Can we spy them before jumping out?
Kaylor Traice |
Kaylor will join Elmar since he has his familiar. And I'm going to say that since he was waiting to feel alarm from Tiny Tim before trying to bust in to help, he probably comes in a round later than Elmar does.
Nahoçe Sijed |
Knowledge Nature: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (15) + 5 = 20
Based on the assumption that that's good enough to know them, Nahoce says,
Careful, stout friend, they are dark creepers who do not like light, and can create darkness at will.
Yes, I know he knows, but doesn't know that he knows. Ya know?
She will cast Spiritual Weapon targeting the Silver Chain member on the surprise round.
Big Magic Dagger: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (19) + 7 = 26 Damage: 1d8 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 2 = 7
Crit Confirm: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (19) + 7 = 26 Damage: 1d8 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 2 = 7
If she has initiative over the Dark Creepers, she will move to engage the nearest.
Morningstar +2: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (4) + 9 = 13 Damage: 1d8 + 5 ⇒ (1) + 5 = 6
Remember, my AC is 27 due to Shield of Faith.
DoubleGold |
init: 3 + 1d20 ⇒ 3 + (15) = 18 all 3 dark stalkers and the silver chain
Nahoce hurts the silver chain then he and 3 dark stalkers retailiate, silver chain goes after nahoce while the, while the others will target elmar with their shortbows
hit: 5 + 1d20 ⇒ 5 + (9) = 14 vs nahoce Nope.
hit: 3d20 ⇒ (3, 9, 11) = 23 add 5 to each attack, vs elmar. Nope
meanwhile in the other battle: the teknenu slams silver attack: 2d20 ⇒ (10, 10) = 20 add 12 to each att. dmg: 4d6 ⇒ (6, 2, 3, 6) = 17
all heroes from both battles are up again
Nahoce just went and finishes off the silver chain.
Elmar Thonsson |
Elmar will focus his shots on one of the farther-away Silver Chains.
Attack 1: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (5) + 10 = 15 (Adamantine)
Damage 1: 1d8 + 8 ⇒ (8) + 8 = 16
Damage 2: 1d8 + 8 ⇒ (4) + 8 = 12
Attack 2: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (9) + 10 = 19 (Adamantine)
Damage 3: 1d8 + 8 ⇒ (1) + 8 = 9
Attack 3: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (13) + 5 = 18 (Adamantine)
Damage 4: 1d8 + 8 ⇒ (2) + 8 = 10
(or two silver chains, if that takes one out)
Silver Bullet |
Silver attacks the thing again swing twice as a full round action hit: 9 + 1d20 ⇒ 9 + (20) = 29 hit: 4 + 1d20 ⇒ 4 + (14) = 18
damage: 2d6 + 3 ⇒ (3, 6) + 3 = 12
damage: 2d6 + 3 ⇒ (6, 6) + 3 = 15
and silver is not that hurt, he isn't even bloodied. this thing is just about dead with guts and blood all over the organs
Zuberu |
Zuberu joins his goblinoid comrade in pummeling the undead horror.
Flurry (Power Attack, Lamia Lovin'): 1d20 + 8 - 2 + 3 - 1 ⇒ (10) + 8 - 2 + 3 - 1 = 18
Damage (Ferocious Strike): 1d6 + 5 + 4 + 3 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 5 + 4 + 3 + 2 = 18
Flurry (Power Attack, Lamia Lovin'): 1d20 + 8 - 2 + 3 - 1 ⇒ (16) + 8 - 2 + 3 - 1 = 24
Damage: 1d6 + 5 + 4 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 5 + 4 + 3 = 15
DoubleGold |
good call, didn't see that elmar, but zub finished it anyway, so it is dead.
Silver travels up in the shaft, rather than to the stone gargolye by pulling a switch which pulls down a ladder to it and moves to the far right room. Below him, notices 12 ghouls that don't notice we are there, but on his way he passed the middle room which contained a golem and another Tekenu
Silver says. They don't notice us Zub, your channel doesn't have to be perfect, but a surprise channel above average will instantly kill all the ghouls. will you do it?
Kaylor Traice |
Kaylor moves into the room, seeing the enemies, he turns his weapon into a +1 Keen Flaming scimitar. He strikes at the plant thing next to him.
To Hit: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (9) + 10 = 19
Damage: 1d6 + 6 + 1d6 ⇒ (6) + 6 + (5) = 17 Second d6 is fire.
DoubleGold |
Kaylor finishes his enemy, does this group wish to travel to the next room forward towards the golem and tekenu after quickly looting the bodies? The hostage however is not in this room.
Zub has just barely enough energy to kill all of the ghouls.
Silver exits the area after safely landing to the floor and is ready to take on the the tekenu and the golem, assuming zub follows, our group will enter the middle room the same time they enter the room from the south end. and then all 6 players can tackle these two monsters at once.
Edit assuming everyone joins this next battle
init: 12 + 1d20 ⇒ 12 + (5) = 17 silver
init: 11 + 1d20 ⇒ 11 + (1) = 12 avelloran
init: 2 + 1d20 ⇒ 2 + (10) = 12 zub
init: 5 + 1d20 ⇒ 5 + (1) = 6 kaylor
init: 7 + 1d20 ⇒ 7 + (18) = 25 elmar
init: 3 + 1d20 ⇒ 3 + (8) = 11 nahoce
init: 2 + 1d20 ⇒ 2 + (2) = 4 golem
init: 8 + 1d20 ⇒ 8 + (3) = 11 tekenu
Elmar Thonsson |
Alright, Elmar will make a full attack against the golem, because he's not sure what a Tekenu is.
Attack 1: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (11) + 10 = 21 (Adamantine)
Damage 1: 1d8 + 8 ⇒ (8) + 8 = 16
Damage 2: 1d8 + 8 ⇒ (6) + 8 = 14
Attack 2: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (12) + 10 = 22 (Adamantine)
Damage 3: 1d8 + 8 ⇒ (6) + 8 = 14
Attack 3: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (8) + 5 = 13 (Adamantine)
Damage 4: 1d8 + 8 ⇒ (5) + 8 = 13
DoubleGold |
A Tekenu is undead organs crawled up into one.
anyway elmar just about kills the golem with his arrows, if only they were blunt arrows instead he would have.
silver just barely reaches the golem to try to finish it with his adamantine earthbreakerhit: 9 + 1d20 ⇒ 9 + (15) = 24
damage: 2d6 + 3 ⇒ (1, 1) + 3 = 5 and he does, just barely killing it striking it in the leg.
Nahoçe Sijed |
Soooo...out of combat?
EDIT: ah, forgot the tekenu.
Knowledge Nature: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (5) + 5 = 10
If Nahoce recognizes the tekenu as undead, she will Channel Energy:
Channel Energy, DC18: 3d6 ⇒ (4, 1, 1) = 6
If not, she will move to engage:
Morningstar +2: 1d20 + 9 ⇒ (9) + 9 = 18 Damage: 1d8 + 5 ⇒ (3) + 5 = 8
Kaylor Traice |
I think we're waiting on Avelloran? Kaylor comes after the Tekenu in init. Although I can make a religion check on it, I guess.
Religion: 1d20 + 11 ⇒ (11) + 11 = 22
DoubleGold |
Nahoçe Sijed |
Vulnerable to Channeled Energy (Ex) A tekenu takes 150% as much damage as normal from channeled positive energy.
3 more points of glorious damage, please. Is it dead yet? ;-)
