Nsizi frowned - there was something definitely hostile going on. Remembering that they'd been officially deputized, he said, "We are here officially on behalf of the Sheriff. If there is nothing wrong, we will leave peacefully. If there is a problem, we will help bring it to the Sheriff for solving." Pulling his spear into his hand, he held it ready.

Evalina shrugged, "That was what we were hoping that you could know... we know it is west from Pridon's Hearth and west from the Song'o but this just leaves us with the rest of the freaking jungle... not a narrowing information. We have found an old village where we found a journal that mentions this Chitauli, so it seems probable that the village was founded by the Storm Kindlers..."
"But something is still strange... the journal's last pages suggests that Chitauli was guiding the Storm Kindlers somewhere, perhaps the temple, but you say they constructed the Sky Tempest Temple... is it possible for you to be wrong and the temple be actually a Ghol-Gan building? If so we could find clues about it on the ruins to the west, if not we should probably go back to the village and look for an additional clue or even perhaps a long abandoned trail."
Acion 2
"What is..." Evalina started before noticing the man being held captive. She wasn't able to recognize him, even if the man looked like Kanjo. "Yeah, as if threatening me would actually work!" The archer answers with a threatening tone, but actually hoping for the man to underestimate her...
If the men underestimate her AKA she can get a surprise round:
Evalina quickly stepped forward and tried to kick the man's weapon from his hand! If a surprise round is possible, the man would be surprise, so his CMD would be lower and Evalina would not get an AOO. If she can't get a surprise round, she would not try this, because it is actually a flavor action ;)

Fabian, I don't remember if you resolve actions in initiative order or post order... if it is the later, Evalina would shot on the same thug Zeljka had already wounded, if the former I'd ask for Zeljka to hit the same Evalina had wounded (assuming they survive of course). One enemy down is generally better than two wounded.

It depends. I have done both. I get an intention from the PCs and I try my best to make that be the reality.
In this case, I would probably do it in post order and adjust your post (i.e., hit the thug battling Zelkja).
So Evalina is taking one for the team then but hitting the thug that is attacking Zelkja.

Shouldn't Nsizi's speed have gone back up to 30 feet when you switched curses, or is there some sort of armor/encumbrance thing that's dropping it to 20?
Her PC sheet list her speed at 20' but I looked and she's only wearing studded leather so it should be 30'.

I am back and the camping gear is stored. But I am now 44 posts and 4 summaries behind. Too tired and too late to catch up tonight. Feels overwhelming to try. Tomorrow.

Evalina Braeton |

Action 1
Her wound was hurting quite a bit but there were more important things to worry about. Seeing Zeljka surrounded and true to her line of thought that one enemy down is better than two wounded, Evalina almost shot the leader but soon she remembered that they also badly needed information. Changing the target of her shot, she aimed to the other thug instead, "Oz! We could use some help here! Min, try to bring the henchman down... the leader should surrender soon after!"
Attack (longbow), bullseye shot, deadly aim: 1d20 + 8 + 4 - 1 ⇒ (7) + 8 + 4 - 1 = 18
Damage (longbow), deadly aim: 1d8 + 3 + 2 ⇒ (6) + 3 + 2 = 11

"Min, try to bring the henchman down... the leader should surrender soon after!"
"I should think it would be the other way around, wouldn't you?" Nevertheless, Min followed Evalina's instructions and switched her focus to the lesser threat, moving further up the road to get a clear shot before releasing an acid dart at the henchman.

Previous Round if possible.
As if shaking himself from sleep Osbun joined the fight. He moved up to where he had a decent shot at one of the thugs and fired his icy blast. As the blast left his hands he began to sweat. But as the sweat left his body it freezes and fell to the ground around him. Visual for Elemental Overflow

Worried for his friends Osbun sees and targets the leader of this band. AS the blast leaves his hands he begins to sweat. Sweat continues to pour from his body and freeze as it fell to the ground.

Osbun now has both Precise Shot and Point Blank Shot and will maneuver to get as clear of a shot as he can each round.

Game Thoughts; We have passed this by but I wanted to mention that I would have been fine with the proposed changes and understand both the extra effort that would have been and the benefit of doing so. Still I am glad it was decided the other was as it is fun to roll the dice. :) On Cheating - I hope I would never do it but understand the temptation. In one game my fighter has combat expertise and it would be easy to go back and add, or take off the penalty and benefit of that feat based on my roles. I will admit to at least recognizing the possibility if not to being tempted. A last question that I think has already been answered is about botting players when they are gone. Is it a table rule that you do not bot? Oh, and on the loot sheet please add the Potion of Cure Mod that was his 2nd level potion pick.

A last question that I think has already been answered is about botting players when they are gone. Is it a table rule that you do not bot? Oh, and on the loot sheet please add the Potion of Cure Mod that was his 2nd level potion pick.
I don't like to bot players but I also don't want to leave them behind because what could take days in 'game time' to reunite the PC with the party could end up being weeks/months in 'real time'.
And again, my main job as a GM is to keep you all engaged and having a good time and that's no way to do that.
However, I also don't like the extra work to bot players (there's enough NPCs for me to play).
So the PC becomes a 'silent partner' meaning they are still 'with the party' so the player can come in and play the PC right away but they don't attack or become the targets of NPC attacks. Likewise, if another PC tags the 'silent partner' then they have to act on the silent partner's behalf.
It goes without saying that if you're silent for an extended period of time without us knowing about it, then you run the risk of being removed from the game.
I'll add Oz' CMW potion on the next turn recap.

Well, you can only ready either a standard OR a move action, not both.
If you wait until you get your full round action then the thug goes first and you lose sight of him.
Make sense?

With this she hoped to not attract onlookers to their negotiations... it was raining so she imagine few were running around but better to be safe than sorry. She then gets healed by Nsizi, which she thank before addressing the boss.

Action 2
Evalina nodded to Zeljka, "Yeah, the sheriff should be the one deciding about his punishment." The archer looks towards the gear they have confiscated, trying to discern the utility of them, "I think I could this fine chain shirt since it is superior to my old leather armor, but I can also see Nsizi using it, in which case I'd ask for you to lend me your fine leather armor." She then moves to the vials, "We have plenty of healing potions with us, so I guess Nsizi could take this one and Min could take the alchemist's fires... we can keep fighting endlessly in theory, but you need your spells... this would come in handy if you end up depleted of magical power."
Taking the thunderstone in her hands, Evalina smiles, "I think I could also use this little bugger here... if I'm able to scout ahead and stealthily approach an enemy, throwing his in their midst might be give us a pretty solid advantage... on the other hand, I think we could sell the sword, unless Zeljka wants to take it instead of her old machete."
