@Mort The elementals would do damage if they hit, his AC(and Touch AC) is 20. @Omo I think some of the larger elementals in that line (its 3PP) do have a harmshield type ability
Round 3

Really tired, Kid has got a cold and is waking up a lot during the night :/
Seventeen shakes her head saying, "I did Omo, but the wand crumbled to dust during the last fight. I'm not sure what I can do against this foe."
All this is said to the background of angry buzzing and flashes from the intense beams of light from the Lantern Archon.
I don't think the lantern archon threatens, so no flanking. It's attacks are Ex so they don't trigger AOOs.

Seven.teen
Noticing that Guaire has switched weapons, Seventeen again reaches out this time to enchant his flail. With a whispered word of power it glows softly with a blue radiance.
She casts Magic weapon on it.
The archon continues to be mostly useless, finding the undead too hard to hit.
Ranged Touch: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (14) + 3 = 17Damage: 1d6 ⇒ 4
Ranged Touch: 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (1) + 3 = 4Damage: 1d6 ⇒ 2
Omo Nijj
Omo lets out a shrill keen of terror, letting everyone in earshot know that he is not about that life (being touched inappropriately by the undead). However, he does not abandon his friends and shoves a fire bomb into the wraith's face.
Mort, if you aid me with this bomb, I might crit. Can undead be critted?
Bombs Away: 1d20 + 8 + 1 ⇒ (20) + 8 + 1 = 29

Damage: 3d6 + 5 + 1 ⇒ (1, 6, 3) + 5 + 1 = 16
Mortimer 'Mort' Burrwaddle
Alas, I think that would be hindsight acting there Omo. Unless Niles allows me to roll for an Aid Another. Also Niles The Wraith may roll a Reflex Save DC 12 to halve the 3 damage of the death throes of the now dead elemental. I assume no one of us wishes to roll a Reflex save to halve the healing however ^^
GM Niles Iron Gods
Undead can be criticaled. But a 19 wouldn't confirm anyways, his AC is 20.
Guaire does 4
Mort's elemental does 6
Omo does 9 and would suffer an AoO but the bomb destroys the wraith!
Combat Over!
Omo Nijj
Omo hisses his relief as the thing "dies."
"Jarreck, I don't have the knowledge to repair the damage done by that wraith. But, the priestess probably can help."
He searches the room.
GM Niles Iron Gods
Omo finds a a shiny (after its dusted off) red suit....it seems to bend light around it. It's a Red ScatterLight Suit (counted as Masterwork so it can be enchanted)
Also, on the crumbled corpse of the ship's captain is a Timeworn Mindburner (9 Charges), a Skillslot and a curious metallic necklace that Omo cannot identify.
With the death of the Wraith, the heaviness in the air is lifted....you are certain that the mist is dissipating as you stand there in the bridge of this ancient vessel.
Also, welcome to 6th level, please post your 6th level stuff in the discussion thread
Jarreck Lightfoot
|
Thank you, that creature when it touched me felt like ice rolling through my veins and each time I felt weaker than the last. "
After a few moments and some healing Jarreck will spend time looking over the items that Omo has found in the room.Taking his time to search for any hidden compartments that may be.
Seven.teen
"I shall check Omo." replies Seventeen without hesitation.
She whispers a strange phrase and concentrates.
She casts detect magic.
Spellcraft if required: 1d20 + 14 ⇒ (4) + 14 = 18
For a moment she is perfectly still and then she whispers, "Peculiar."
Somebody has to ask her what she means, she seems to snsp to the fore and replies, "Data banks in my mind have been -- made available. They temporal manipulation codes and, get this, the secret of flight."
GM Niles Iron Gods
The DC is infinite, because you aren't meant to be able to identify it right away, its unique...
Seven picks up the shiny device which is most certainly not magical. Suddenly everyone hears
"This is the final report of salvage module Chrysalis, Captain
Yurian Valako reporting. Divinity is lost; the rest of the ship's crew
is presumed dead or worse. The surviving crew of Chrysalis and I
are boarding a launch and will attempt an emergency landing, but
without Al control, the prospects of a safe landing are minimal.
I've secured an inhibitor facet-if I can install it into the Unity
interface, it should disable the Al's security long enough for us to
reclaim control and perhaps even signal for help from home. I'm
boarding the launch now, and will append further reports after
our successful landing."
Originally worn by translators, messengers, and diplomats,
these objects were always constructed to appear elegant and beautiful. An envoy's mouthpiece is a circlet worn across the mouth, with slender arms that reach along the jaw to wrap around the wearer's skull and hold the device in place. Two thin earpieces extend up from the band to slip unobtrusively into the user's ea rs once a mouth piece is donned. When created, an envoy's mouthpiece is encoded with a specific single
language. Whenever the language is spoken within 30 feet of the wearer, the mouthpiece translates that language into Androffan. In addition, any words spoken in Androffan by the wearer a retransformed by the mouthpiece into the encoded language, allowing conversation to take place between the wearer and speakers of the encoded language. An envoy's mouthpiece can not be used to translate languages other than
the one it has been programmed to transl ate, but a newly created mouth piece could, in theory, transl ate languages into something other than Androffan. An envoy's mouthpiece automatically records any words spoken through it, allowing anything said through the device
to be replayed through its earpiece at the touch of a button on the lower right side. Up to 30 continuous hours can be recorded in this manner. Holding the button down for a full round erases any currently stored conversations.
Seven.teen
Seventeen's eyebrows raise as the device unexpectedly replays the recorded message. "Most unexpected. I wonder, hmm. Divinity and Unity those names seem oddly familiar. Yet I do not know their significance, and what is an inhibitor facet? The message suggests such a thing is here, perhaps in this room."
She looks at Omo as if he might know the answer.
Mortimer 'Mort' Burrwaddle
"The remains of that wraith didn't carry it on him? It sounded like whatever that voice was talking about might have been the leader. I'd say that wraith fit that description."
Mort wanders over to the front of the vessel and looks outward.
"So this thing is a ship, that escaped another bigger ship? Must be pretty big..."
Mort's mind wanders as he gazes outward, his distaste for the technology forgotten and a curiosity and fascination for exploration slightly kindled.
Omo Nijj
Omo looks for anything that might be a facet, starting with the dust of the captain's body.
"Unity is one of the Lords of Rust, right? Didn't that priestess who kept shooting at me tell us to kneel before Unity? Mortal danger tends to sharpen the memory."
Guaire
"Pretty big would probably be an understatement if we'd ever see it.
This ship i would call big in itself. Yet what makes me wonder, is what caused the remains of its passengers to rise up like that."
Omo Nijj
"Undeath can be caused by all sorts of things. Spells. Curses. Disease. Some natural phenomenon. Horrific, torturous death. Unresolved emotional issues. I'm guessing some combination of the latter two."
Seven.teen
Seventeen frowns slightly and then pulls out the wand of Technomancy. She whispers the command word and suddenly like Neo, Omo knows Tech-Fu.
Lightly she says, "Perhaps you might find the search easier now Omo?"
I suggest we take 20 on the search. Don't forget we're also after explosives as well.
Seven.teen
Ah yes Cylex was explosives. I missed that.
GM Niles Iron Gods
You guys found everything worth finding in the ship. The Red scatterlight suit would make decent armor for a mage. It has a +1 Armor bonus and a whopping +6 armor bonus to your Touch AC, all for 5% spell failure.
