We have been on a mission to gather rebels around the town and have caught those two near this bridge. We are certain more of them lie waiting somewhere. Now that I think of it, they might just be waiting further ahead to target you, sir Badger! Surely a servant of the Almighty such would get them such a ransom!!! They are probably numerous enough to feel confident they have a shot. Perhaps six more are waiting ahead..."

If he doesn't fall for that one, sparks will fly... My head too if I'm not careful!

Emmett bangs on the door loudly: "By the pointy! These rebels need to be brought to Rivad!"

He turns to the Hellknights on horses, pointing at one of them. "You, get off that horse and wait here." Once the Hellknight dismounts, he steps in the stirrup and pulls himself up into the saddle. He looks down at Emmett. "Now, get up here and let's go find those rebels."

Emmett, playing his last card, crumbles to the ground, acting as a broken man, visibly shaken: "Sir! You play me like Asmodeus the fiddle, and it's more than I can bear. He knocks again on the door: "Open up I say! And bind me with fetters. For until it is proven that I had been true about the rebels I shall remain in custody."

The Hellknight looks down at Emmett laying pathetically on the ground. "Men, seize him!" The Hellknight just relieved of his horse begins moving toward Emmett. Two others begin to clamber down from their horses. The commanding Hellknight suddenly wheels, spotting Moondark trying to slip the dagger into the wagon. "And seize that rebel too!" Suddenly from the treeline, you hear the sound of hooting and hollering. You can see Janiven and the other Children of Westcrown hopping up and down and brandishing weapons.

Emmett seeks to make the best out of the confusion. He gets to his feet and chastises the hellknight: "Rebels attacking! Rebels! Badger, this is all your fault! I will see that you spend a few nights in a cell for this! Perhaps when you come out, we'll have traded ranks. By the pointy! Am I going to have a ball with you!"

As he grins and points and laughs, Emmett weaves a pattern of curse that he inflicts at the hellknight.

The Hellknight toward the front of the carriage is the driver. The one toward the back is manning the heavy crossbow. The ones on each side of the wagon without an H were riding on the sideboards and stepped off.

PS I know the horses should be large, but I'm cheating to keep the map from being incredibly large.

Two of the three shots strike home in Badger's horse. It screams and begins to buck.

To the side of the carriage where the rebels have attacked, the three Hellknights, one on horse and two on foot, charge toward their position, while the Hellknight on top manning the heavy crossbow turns it toward them to fire.

From the top of the carriage, the Hellknight fires a bolt at Janiven.

The huge bolt flies over her head striking a large tree and shaking it so badly that leaves drop from its branches.

On the other side of the prison wagon, the Hellknights on horse attempt to move toward Egder.

Both succeed in getting out of the grease and attack the bard.

I spin around to face the Hellknight that is threatening both Eg and Coran, bring my axe up and swing it at the fiend.

My axe connects with the mans chest and with a lot of strength put behind the attack there is a grunt as he struggles for air briefly.

(WOW! So glad I used True Strike, otherwise that attack would have failed miserably! Talk about luck.)

Description
This spell causes a metal object to instantly become red hot.
A creature holding the item may attempt a Reflex save to drop
it and take no damage (even if it is not their turn), otherwise
the hot metal deals 1d4 points of fire damage per caster level

dropping the item (such as a locked gauntlet) mean the creature
