Aarakess Halcorn |
Round 2
Sensing a warning from her master, Cieslx flies back and lands on Aarakess' shoulder.
Then, while the rest of the party battles the vile dark elves, the elf-turned-dwarf reaches into her pouch and pulls out a small blue quails egg. This would not be unusual, except you are pretty sure that you recall these being served for breakfast, four weeks earlier.
Taking the egg, Aarakess reaches back and tosses it over the heads of her companions causing it to land and break at H16/I17. As the egg flies through the air, Aarakess speaks a prayer to her mysterious patron. As soon as the egg strikes the ground it breaks and from it emits a cloud of nauseous green vapors causing all within to retch and gag, while making vision all but impossible.
Standard: Cast Stinking Cloud centered at H16/I17 and creating a 20' diameter cloud. This should get all the dark elves except for #4 and #5, although if Kilthan moved these it might.
--> Save DC19 or Nausea while in cloud + 1d4+1 round thereafter. Must make a new save every round in cloud. Also blocks all vision including dark vision.
--> Duration 8 rounds

I might not have spelled it out great, but the drow female was not nauseated by the spell, and cast a spell that dispelled the stinking cloud spell. Kilthan Hammerstone |
Kilthan winces as the rapier bites into him and staggers slightly from the blow. He shakes his head, then narrows his eyes at the elf, the ancient dwarven hatred causing his voice to grind like gravel as he says, "Well now, I guess the question is which one of us can kill the other faster, now that your little friends are gone? I'm betting on me." He steps forward to give Justin a line of attack, then plants his foot and pushes his weight behind the bladed shield strapped to his arm, shouting, "Angradd!"

Wanting to continue to harass the drow witch (pronounced with a slightly different sound to the first letter), Aarakess calls once more upon her patron to make the drow lives more difficult. Technically drow #2 made its save vs evil eye so it reduced to 1 round and Aarakess didn't say she was cackling last round....but with no move action taken I will assume she did. So CMD is 18 currently so you bash Drow #2 Kilthan
Justin, H20 is farther away from Drow #4, so I will assume you will stay put and use Lunge at #4 or take a 5' to Rohara's place if she moves this round
Justin attacks the drow landing two solid blows enhanced by the magical aura which is enough to put him down to the ground. Jagdbach wounded, but emboldened by Justin's blows lands two claws on the other drow. Kilthan continuously slams his shield into the drow heavily wounding him before pushing him back towards the female drow, setting them up perfectly for Aarakess's glitterdust spell. However, only the remaining nauseated drow is blinded by the spell.

Round 5
Seeing the great Palizard fall, Aarakess knows that he must be revived or the battle is lost. So, she whispers to Ceislx and the tiny dragon quickly flies to the paladin and touches the fallen knight causing a healing glow to spread through the paladins body.
Use Healing Hex to Justin - with Ceislx delivering the hex.

Rohara, we need more healing to revive the warriors. This fight is almost won.

Justin, swing at her ankles. Make it hurt.
Kilthan Hammerstone |
What's Kilthan's current status -- I didn't see a number attached to his newly awake self? Also, is my waraxe near where I fell?
Kilthan Hammerstone |
Argh -- I didn't see Rohara's healing post because it was before my falling down post. Sorry. Also, getting up is an annoying use of a move action -- this is a time when BoF is better than haste. ;)
Kilthan stands, surveying the battlefield, then wincing as he sees his furred friend's body, then relaxing only slightly when he thinks he sees his chest move. He winces again as he sees Justin fall, and then sighs to himself, Can't let her kill him... I guess I won't get my axe after all..., and rushes the cleric with his Klar, trying to drive her back into the wall.

Beat her by +6, that's 10' -- with Feather Step and Justin being down, I should be able to run straight at her -- and I'll follow her movement to not stay in the square with Justin -- that diagonal should introduce her to mr. wall, and thus, prone.
Edit -- Kilthan went down at the end of R3 -- and was healed by Rohara in R4 before his intiative -- so does that mean he acts in R4 and then again in 5? This post assumes he acts after Justin went down -- if he could act in r4, it would be before Justin's nap -- so he would have taken the time to pick up his axe and cast lead blades -- so +1 damage, but he'd be in a much better place to smash the cleric next round.
