Having fun with my Snows of Summer campaign, I decided to give this one a try too!
In truth, the Stolen Lands belong to no one, and are stolen from no one. Many have tried to claim them, but the abandoned ruins that dot the swath of wilderness stand as testaments to the difficulty of ruling these savage lands. They have remained wild with a fierce tenacity, a haven for monsters and criminals and dangerous secrets, and as such have posed a menace to their neighboring nations as long as anyone can remember. Now the Swordlords of Restov have charged you with traveling and surveying the Greenbelt, as well as striving against banditry. Other groups were sent previously. None have returned. Many believe this to be a foolhardy task or a suicide mission. Are you up to the task?
Character creation:
Looking for 4-5 players
Ability Scores: 20-point builds with stats no lower than 8 and no higher than 18 after modifiers.
Races: Core races preferred but other races open for consideration (better be a really good backstory!)
Alignment: No evil
Classes: All except Gunslinger and summoner. Archetypes are allowed.
Starting gold: Average starting gold.
Traits: 2 traits, one of which must be a campaign trait, no drawbacks.
Concept: Character appearance and motivation: Why do you care about the Greenbelt renowned for its dangers and why have you accepted the Swordlords' charter?
Will leave recruitment open for a week, subject to change depending on number of applicants.
Faffnyr
May I present Faffnyr Stagson, a bastard of old noble blood, who was raised by in the erastil temple of Restov. Although his faith is strong his blood is much stronger. But even stronger is his burning will to make a mark on the world and rise above his tainted birth.
Twigs
Dot! Been very keen to play this path since its release, and had two games never even leave Oleg's trading post.
Interested in playing a half-elf or half-orc bastard of some kind, having active characters of every other core race right now. I've just discovered the Huntmaster Cavalier, which seems like a really flavorful choice for a Restov native. The human eye for talent ability is pretty tempting, however. I'll check back in the morning with a character.

By low-magic, I mean that magical/wondrous items are rare in the game. There are no +1 swords for sale at the local armory as soon you accumulate 2000+ gp, etc. The secrets of crafting magic died out years ago. Perhaps, one of the reasons for your traveling to the wilderness is to find remnants of the "old magic" in the ruins. Casters are not affected except no item creation feats allowed initially.
Also, I forgot to mention but please list your timezone. I am EST (GMT-5). Also, no rich parents trait. Any other questions, let me know.
Josef Orlovsky
I've tried to get into Kingmaker a couple of these. I put together an Aldori Swordlord specifically for this AP whose concept I like.
This profile is that character, actually. I don't make a profile until a character has been accepted into a game. In this case, one of the applicants who also failed to get into a Kingmaker game offered to run it for THREE tables. I don't know how far along the other tables got, but we didn't make it to the first fight before he vanished. Such is the risk of PBP.
I will need to edit Josef slightly for your character creation rules (IIRC, the only "problem" is that he has a drawback and bonus Trait), but that shouldn't take long. Unless you are lurking and watching for character submissions right now, I will probably have that edit done before you see this submission.
If you see anything about this character beyond that which you would like me to consider altering or expanding upon to ease your consideration, please, tell me. I have a hard time stumbling my way into making desired alterations if I don't know they are desired.
Edit: Time Zone: Central US

If I didn't make it clear before, please address the following questions in your applications:
Why do you care about the Greenbelt, a clearly dangerous place and realm? What made you accept the Swordlords' charter to "colonize" the wilderness? Groups sent before you have died! I want to get a feel for your character's psychology and motivations. Saying "I'm an adventurer" is not enough. Why did you choose this life? Why not be a butcher/herbalist/tanner and live a long healthy life instead of risking death at the end of a bandit's sword or a creature's claw?
Thanks!
Josef Orlovsky
Expanded request on why would you be here of all places?
I THINK I covered this in the background within the profile. Here are the pertinent bits pulled out and explicitly stated:
The Orlovsky family is famous for avoiding confrontation and finding a diplomatic solution. Josef turned to direct confrontation as a way of expressing himself while he was still a young child.
Josef was sent off for training in how to be both confrontational and successful (something which had eluded him as a child), where he drug the family name into both a scandalous affair with a commoner and an act of impassioned murder. The affair being scandalous primarily because of the murder, but . . ..
The family decided to send Josef away, in order to reduce the embarrassment he can cause them. The request for people to go exploring the Greenbelt was perfectly timed to provide a truly dangerous destination. The family expects Josef to die in the Greenbelt. Josef has little choice but to go there, but he has every intent of proving himself to be better than those sending him to his death.
That does cover what you wanted, doesn't it? Just trying to make sure.
Lelouch Vi Orlovsky
Please may I submit this character? I'd love to.play this and Lelouch was made for this game. He wants to be King and has a lot of motivation and reasoning for being in the stolen lands!
Been waiting to play this for a very long time! Please read this character profile for complete build, fluff and flavour!
Thanks very much for your consideration!
Alexio Thraxas
I'd like to join this foray into Brevoy!
Mechanically, Alexio is a sword-based fighter. I'd like for him to eventually become a hellknight, which gives some plot hooks and also may require a little buy-in from the GM when it comes to defeating a devil in single combat.
Background/motivation wise, Alexio's family was once a noble/land-holding family before the uprising of Galt and the fall of Chelaxian influence. His family has lost everything except for a small household in Brevoy. Alexio has been raised as the last hope of his family line and would risk all to return House Thraxas to a position of rulership. There is a lot more history and formative data in his profile.
I'm EST and generally plan to post 2x a day.

I am putting together a Cleric of Erastil. Are the feather(animal) and growth(Plant) domains ok?
Also does the horse from the Pioneer trait come with a bit/bridle/saddle/saddlebags or do I need to buy those from starting gold? ( I am also assuming a light horse)
I will include a full version with the crunch but the cleric will be focused on recovering the lost temples of Erastil knowing the only long term way to do that is to resettle the area.

here is a submission I was working on a long time ago.
the backstory is here , the stats are not done yet. I picture the character a druid (eagle Shaman), possibly a level or two of fighter.
but I still need to take a look at the new class guide classes as well to see if they are a better fit.
Backstory:
Arcadia, the mysterious continent, lies across the Arcadian sea. A place of mystery and wonder; Centuries ago Ulfen settlers called Arcadia their new home, until the natives took offence to their presence and nearly drove them from their home.
The native tribes called skraelings by the Ulfen settlers were considered savage and ruthless. But this I can tell you is not entirely true.
I am White Eagle, son of Ten Bears, and I am a skraeling. Though I was not born on the land my ancestors once called home My Father and I have held to the teachings passed down to us by my father’s father and his father before him. I am of the Defohy tribe, Nomads always moving with the changing seasons making our home in the plains of Arcadia in places where our horses may graze and the fish are abundant.
The Defohy depended on the land for their survival. The earth and rivers provided roots and berries, fish and game. Farming and land ownership were foreign to the Defohy. They believed (and still do today) the earth was not to be disturbed by hoe and plow. The land was their home, not a commodity to be bought or sold.
Chief Yellow Wolf, a relative of Chief Ten Bears said, “We were always here. The Great Spirit placed us on this land of ours.”
Many miles south of the Ulfen settlement others from your world also journeyed to Arcadia. Settlers, seeking trees, animals and metals came to our home. These settlers moved into land we have journeyed to for countless generations. We sought to make peace with the newcomers and many of them welcomed us. We showed the settlers how to farm the soil in Arcadia and where to hunt good food. The Ulfen were friends. My people called all who came to our land as Ulfen as we had no concept of the different races of other lands. To us what you call elf was called spirit beings that were as mysterious to us as our home is to you.
Not all settlers who came to our home were friend. Bad Ulfen, I have learned were called Cheliax in your tongue, came to take gold from the hills and mountains of Arcadia. They enslaved many skraeling to dig the gold from the earth.
My ancestors became scattered and many were sent on ships to Cheliax home. Among them was my grandfather Chief Charlo, whose wife was with child. My father was the first of the skraelings to be born on this new world.
My father was strong and it is said that he had the strength of a bear and would do the work of ten men and so was given the name Ten Bears. Ten Bears was a slave like all the skraelings brought over to Cheliax.
However the Great Spirit saw what was happening to the people of Arcadia and took pity on them. Many skraelings were freed when guardians of freedom who bore the sign of the eagle freed our people.
Ten Bears lead a small group of Defohy north until we found land to call home in what is called Restov Plains. There. Our people prospered living peacefully on the plains and many new Defohy were born.
Ten Bears took a wife and bore a son, White Eagle.
For many years my people lived freely on the Rostov plains, trading goods with the settlements in this new land. My brother, Swift Elk, would lead hunting parties and trade furs with other Ulfen hunters and trappers.
Soon though Cheliax warriors would try and destroy the peace my people have created. (Note Cheliax is the name given to all human bandits, brigands, or other unsavory types, including warlords). Many disguised as Defohy attacked and scalped local Brevoy villagers.
Trust of the local villages and settlements was beginning to deteriorate. Ten Bears journeyed to the Ulfen city of Restov to plead the case of our people.
The Mayor agreed to a treaty with Ten Bears. The Defohy people would provide one of their own and explore the place called the Stolen Lands and there the Defohy could go and make a new home. And in return the people of Restov would assist and help protect the Defohy people.
During this time White Eagle had recently returned from his journey of the Wyakin to receive his guardian spirit. White Eagle had a vision while alone that he would be a great leader of his people guiding them to new lands and better hunting grounds. White Eagle was to go to fulfill Ten Bears promise to the Chief of Restov.
The Defohy have a strong belief in dreams and visions. Young boys and girls went alone to remote places hoping to receive knowledge of a personal guardian spirit. This personal WYAKIN would warn them of danger and give them special powers. In all phases of daily life, the Defohy thought of the spirits of forces and objects around them as supernatural WYAKIN

Dotting for interest, want to see how a couple other apps turn out first. Really liking the idea of a ranger/rogue that has been forced to accept this job. Got caught doing some illegal work or was framed for something. The Swordlords decided that the character could be more resourceful and a better example to them serving as the chartering party instead upon the executioner's block.
DM DoctorEvil
Considering a gnome bard with wanderlust. He has been in some shady dealings in Brevoy, and needs to lie low (the Brigand campaign trait), but his natural wanderings and inquisitiveness are what's really driving him.
No bards submitted yet, it appears. Or gnomes for that matter.

This should be covered in his story line (updated).
He's a soldier, son of a soldier, given training opportunity above his station but with no way to grow upwards without a nurturing patron, lands or title.
This opportunity may have been meant to kill him. He certainly could not have gotten on this charter without some influence but he's willing to face anonymous death in the middle of nowhere to be more that what he is now.

Well, you say that but my Cleric plays like a Bard. :p

May put in another version - been playing with a concept for a while. Play test of swashbuckler ok? Adv Class Guide doc is a free download if you are willing to allow me to run it but haven't seen it.
Currently playing one in dragons demand. V. Interesting. Parry could be a pain in the butt unless I pre-called my attempts in advance.
Otherwise I've a 2nd concept... :) I'll fiddle with both.
Jack Daniels
Any questions about my character?
Anything you would like to change, anything you would advice?
Also what noble house could/should he belong?
Nothing for now. There are minor corrections to the sheet, like a crossbow crits on 19-20 and x2 damage, but those are things that can be fixed if selected.
I think the identity of the noble house could be an intriguing mystery to pursue, especially if unknown to you.
Lelouch Vi Orlovsky
All sorted now to 20 point buy! (was on 15 before)
Str and Dex is purposely low and is not a dump. This character is physically weak and I will be roleplaying every single part of that.
When it comes to running, he'll be out of breath before anyone. He will never be a frontline character, commanding only from the back where he can have a good view of the battles in front of him and supporting those he works with, keeping himself and all those around him alive with his own tactics and abilities.
He may be a supportive character (incredibly well so at that), but he has his own motives and see's those he works with as people working for him. He's physically pathetic but mentally outstanding and will be a formidable opponent, but an even greater ally.
P.s. If you need help with maps, I'm good with Photoshop, so will happily scale maps and characters for you in each encounter. :)
Olo Dudley
Presenting Olo Dudley, for your consideration.
If you like the basics of the concept, I am happy to elaborate on the backstory and motivation, but I think I covered what you're looking for.
My time-zone is EST (New Yorker here). I can post daily, daytime and/or late-night.
Thanks for running this :)

submitting this guy, he was not accepted into two other adventuring campaigns. So my backstory is really long, it will include him not being able to adventure into serpents skull or jade regant, but I will add to his backstory to match this campaign as well, that's what it says to do in PBP if not accepted or you came from another campaign, if that is okay. He isn't core race, but you said it could be justified and he definitely came from a different land originally.

Ok I have White Eagle mostly done but cannot get him posted till late tonight (if I am lucky) (work then my table game tonight)
BTW I am EST so I hope it is in before the deadline...
Also White Eagle is a human Shaman I took a Hawk as a familiar as I canot find an Eagle, so I was going to use the stats of a Hawk but its actually an Eagle.
