As a swift action Epik will smite evil versus Tongueater and then attack him with his standard action (waiting for the map update, but I believe we are in adjacent squares). If necessary, Epik will pivot 5' over the dead monkey to get at Tongueater.

Epik's round 4 already posted.

Dunno how I missed that, Epik. Sorry.

Nemoris, yes you can climb. Malcolm will have to move north if you next round

Init order: Baboons 20, Epik 20, Dalamus 17, Tongueater 16, Malcolm 13 (delayed to act with Magma), Magma 13, Pad 13, Nemoris 8, Afflicted 7

Nemoris fires an arrow, striking the baboon squarely and causing it to stagger and then hops up climbing over the railing of the stairs to stand looking over the battle. The monkey continues to fight on though. Nearby, the 2 afflicted continue their fruitless savaging.

Round 4
The remaining baboon whimpers but driven by something continues to attack. Epik, ignoring the less dangerous minions, calls upon the divine fury of Iomedae and turns to stand before Tongueater, lashing out with goodness. His first attack misses widely due to the werebaboons blurring, but his armored form is resilient against the lyncanthropes attacks.

Dalamus tumbles around the room avoiding opportunistic attacks and lands next to Tongueater stabbing at the evil jungle horror but cant quite find a purchase in his armor.

Malcolm fires causing a cry of anguish from Tongueater as the silver bullet rips through his shoulder throwing blood everywhere. He draws the beast's attention.

Nemoris shoots down at the afflicted nearest him, plugging it with arrows that cause a bit of bleeding but seem not to harm the beast as much as they should (some damage resistance).

The afflicted gang up on Epik and one flanks the paladin and gets an attack through opening a wound on his arm.

Nemoris: wild empathy roll please to meet your request

The baboon, in pain, searches for a seam in Epik's armor and can't find it, Epik lands a solid blow on Tongueater but yet again, the beast takes no lasting damage. Dalamus experiences the same with the afflicted nearby.

Tongueater pauses in his assault and points to Malcolm, growling "Kill him, now!. The two afflicteds' ears perk up and they turn, moving to the stairs. The werebaboon leader returns to the assault laying a savage blow against Epik's shoulder pauldron with his sword, crumpling it and cleaving into the paladin's flesh causing him to cough up blood. He then steps to the northwest, out of the flank.

Malcolm lays another grazing shot into tongueaters's armor and sees a small fleck of blood. Nemoris pincushions the back afflicted who staggers on the way, drawing AoO from Dalamus and Epik finally laying in a heap after the paladin's blade cuts her down. Her form switches back to that of the redheaded barmaid, clothes torn from her transformation.

The other afflicted reaches Malcolm on the stairs and snaps at him, but the wily gunfighter dodges.

Sooooo ... Nemoris, see the map here

I tried to explain it poorly in my message above. Malcolm is between you and the afflicted. You can swap to move with Malcolm on your turn or you can run around to the other side (jumping down) or switch to a bow shot ... I won't make you reroll anything other than damage. And Magma is right, you only add your bonuses once.

Male Human R:1/F:8/DSniper:2 - || 115 hp || AC: 28 (T:18 FF:23) F13 / R11 / W6

I'm good for a 5 foot swap, only reason I attacked the thing was because I figured one of us was out of luck on ranged attacks until we get the melee sorted, and with him having silver it was better for me to do it.

However, pretty sure you roll all the bonuses for damage:

A critical hit means that you roll your damage more than once, with all your usual bonuses, and add the rolls together.

http://www.d20pfsrd.com/gamemastering/combat#TOC-Critical-Hits

Exception: Precision damage (such as from a rogue's sneak attack class feature) and additional damage dice from special weapon qualities (such as flaming) are not multiplied when you score a critical hit.

http://www.enworld.org/forum/d-d-legacy-discussion/3882-strength-bonus-crit ical-hits.html

Yeah you get the bonuses again for the crit hit ... Need to double check the x3 and x4 crits though if you get them again. Thought you didn't ... Will read again. Either way you're gonna slaughter the afflicted.

Magma, that will heal 9 lethal and 9 non-lethal so you will be able to act on your turn ... you will be prone with 9 hit points and 4 points of non-lethal damage. Drinking a potion is a standard action, getting up is a move action, and picking up your spear is a move action. Pick 2 for this round.

Malcolm and Nemoris can swap on Nemoris' initiative if both are willing

Malcolm ... rapid reload is a move action and drawing a weapon is a move action (unless you have quickdraw). Firing is a standard action.

You are correct ... this explicitly defines it under combat: Critical: The entry in this column notes how the weapon is used with the rules for critical hits. When your character scores a critical hit, roll the damage two, three, or four times, as indicated by its critical multiplier (using all applicable modifiers on each roll), and add all the results together.

Death at the Lucky Monkey Round 6

Init order: Baboons 20, Epik 20, Dalamus 17, Tongueater 16, Magma 13, Pad 13, Malcolm 8 (delayed) Nemoris 8

The baboon moves to follow and attack Epik while Epik reaches down to lay hands on Magma. It misses and Epik's healing goes through.

Dalamus harries Tongueater, sticking him good, but the werebeast ignores him, stepping away and drawing another frutiless attack from the rogue. The fake innkeeper downs another potion and then rapidly grows in size, filling the middle part of the room, his sword and armor growing with him.

Magma stands and drinks a potion, feeling much better.

Nemoris drops his bow, pulls out his axe and in a near-dance move, Malcolm ducks under his arm and allows the ranger to bring a full force swing down on the afflicted's head sending shudders through the stairs as he embeds the axe in the back of the creature's skull and pins it to the floor, legs and spine flopping unaturally behind it.

Malcolm draws a second weapon and fires again. Tongueater hoots and howls, beating his chest in frustration, pain, and anger.

Dice:

Baboon vs Epik 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (12) + 6 = 18; miss
Magma potion of CMW; heals 2d8 + 3 ⇒ (5, 1) + 3 = 9 lethal & non-lethal
Dalamus AoO vs Tongueater 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (7) + 6 = 13; miss

Tongueater is now large size with 10 foot reach. The map will be important to you based on what you wish to do and where it draws AoOs. Will get that out soon.

I assumed Dalamus would attack Tongueater, not wanting to draw an AoO from him. If you wish to chase down the baboon instead, let me know and we'll make that work, but you may draw an AoO

I'm more old fashioned, none of these new fangled weapons for me!

If the big guy has reach and can AoO me, I'll have to keep the melee up. Can't afford any big hits from him. I'm still a bit confused on who's where as far as Malcom and I. I'm still in front from the melee attacks, correct? If I'm within range of Tongue I suppose I'll have to hope for another crit :)

Malcolm: yes, yes and Ok

Magma: moving 5 feet closer to him and attacking will not draw an AoO. However, picking up the spear or drinking a potion both could draw an AoO

Epik: there's nowhere inside the kitchen that Tongueater can't threaten. You have to get out of the kitchen, ala Magma or potentially eat the AoO

A point to make: AoOs are 1 per round unless the individual has combat reflexes then its a #of AoOs = Dex bonus per round.

Round 8 / int 17 /AC 20 / HP 25

Dalamus is going to attempt to disarm the big fella. I know this will provoke an AoO, I am also aware that he gets the size bonus as well.

Dalamus will draw his sword and use that in the attempt to disarm.

Disarm attack
1d20 + 6 ⇒ (5) + 6 = 111d6 + 2 ⇒ (5) + 2 = 7

Male Human R:1/F:8/DSniper:2 - || 115 hp || AC: 28 (T:18 FF:23) F13 / R11 / W6

I think I'm still good to attack in melee, right? On the map at least he looks like he's within 5 feet, although I guess maybe I'm too high up? How about one 5 foot step down the stairs and then attack, from the map at least makes it look like I'm right beside him. Worst case, I can take two 5 foot steps (one per round) and attack in round 8.

Round 8 || Initiative 8 || 35/35 hp || AC 17

Wild Empathy Roll: 1d20 ⇒ 10

Round 8:
Attack: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (20) + 6 = 26 Damage: 1d12 + 9 ⇒ (12) + 9 = 21 Crit: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (19) + 6 = 25

Oh yeah! And some crit damage:

1d12 + 9 ⇒ (12) + 9 = 21
1d12 + 9 ⇒ (2) + 9 = 11

Death at the Lucky Monkey Round 6

Init order: Baboons 20, Epik 20, Dalamus 17, Tongueater 16, Magma 13, Pad 13, Malcolm 8, Nemoris 8

The melee continues after the stunning growth. The baboon surges forward and Epik meets it strong, slipping his blade quickly into its throat and ending its existence mercifully.

Dalamus, seeing the danger of Tongueater's reach, steels himself and makes a brave effort to dislodge the beast's sword from his grasp. Tongueater casually swings his weapon around clipping the rogue across the head and sending him crashing to the ground, bleeding out. The werebeast continues his swing in a great overhand chop cutting towards Malcolm, staggering him with a grievoud wound, but he keeps his feet.

Magma picks up his spear, awaiting the blow, but the werebeast is overextended. The stonechild steps in and stabs him squarely in the kidney.

Malcolm and Nemoris both follow up, the former stepping away and the latter moving forward. Malcolm blows a hole in the lycan's chest and Nemoris swings around the banister bringing his axe around in a devastating horizontal chop, hitting Tongueater just above the waist, severing his spine and sprouting the end of his blade through his gut, too much damage for the werebeast to heal quickly. Tongueater screams and roars at Nemoris, dropping his sword. He's dead on his feet, but his orcish blood refuses to admit it.

Round 9

In a final fit of rage, Tongueater grabs the end of Nemoris' axe and reaches out to bite the ranger... hard ... his infectious spittle filling the wound. He then collapses on the ground .. the legendary fairy tale story finally dead after 100 years.

Congrats! Xp to come later. Anything you wish to do right now?

i will pour a CLW potion down Dalamus throat.

Does Tongueater body shrink back to normal? i will search the body after taking care of Dalamus.

Let search the rest of the Inn before we head downstairs and take that door off it's hinges.
