Chanix's blade cuts a deep wound across the half-orc's thigh and she hisses between her teeth.

"You'll pay for that worm!"

Map

The assassin flings two more shurikens, this time at the cleric.

Shuriken w/ Inspire: 1d20 ⇒ 11
Shuriken w/ Inspire: 1d20 ⇒ 7

But both miss their marks.

Toren/Priscilla

NOW you start missing :/ ... Also is it just not possible for Toren to wake up or is that game knowledge that has yet to be discovered?

On his own, Toren's going to be out for... a while. Nobody has tried to identify the poison yet to see exactly how long or do anything to try to get him back up.

Grand Lodge

Will a heal check use up a standard action?

I'll let you ID the poison as a move.

Treating it is a standard.

Silver Crusade

Assuming you're trying to treat Toren's poison:

To treat poison means to tend to a single character who has been poisoned and who is going to take more damage from the poison (or suffer some other effect). Every time the poisoned character makes a saving throw against the poison, you make a Heal check. If your Heal check exceeds the DC of the poison, the character receives a +4 competence bonus on his saving throw against the poison.

Priscilla hesitates a moment. Channel Energy 1d6 ⇒ 6

Priscilla recognizes that Toren has succumbed to drow poison. He'll be unconscious for at least a minute. If she removes some of the poison, it might wake him up. A standard action.

The updated map is in my last post.

The violin continues playing in the background...

The orcish woman twirls her blades in hand before slashing madly at the brave elf.

Primary w/ Inspire: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (15) + 7 = 22
Damage: 1d4 + 6 ⇒ (1) + 6 = 7

Offhand w/ Inspire: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (8) + 7 = 15
Damage: 1d4 + 3 ⇒ (3) + 3 = 6

"You're going to pay for ever stepping foot here Pathfinder!"

A kukri bites deep into Chanix's shoulder and he staggers to a knee. In the same motion he rolls and tumbles flanking the half orc. Acrobatics move to B3

acrobatics: 1d20 + 8 ⇒ (9) + 8 = 17

In a seemingly last ditch effort Chanix stabs again with the rapier.

attack with flanking: 1d20 + 5 + 2 ⇒ (14) + 5 + 2 = 21
damage with SA: 1d6 + 1 + 1d6 ⇒ (2) + 1 + (4) = 7

Chanix doesn't currently have a flank as Rhydderch doesn't have a weapon in hand. He can delay for Rhydderch to pick up his weapon but that will provoke.

Alternatively, he can draw a different weapon and threaten from the ground. In either case, I'm going to wait for the paladin to post before I resolve your actions.

Silver Crusade

Couldn't I draw one of my two other weapons without provoking?

I tried ninja-editing my post, but you caught me. Yes, you can draw another weapon and threaten from the ground.

Just had to double check to make sure I don't get an orc hatred damage bonus or something else I can try and mix in. Here's to hoping Rhydderch and Priscilla (upon safe landing) can finish her off.

Silver Crusade

Did I lose my Smite Evil on the snare...or is my character smart enough not to have used it since I never quite got to the half orc?

Shadow Lodge

Char Sheet Elf Rogue (Scout) - HP: 17/17, - AC: 17/T: 14/FF: 13 - Perception: +8 (Trapspotter/Low light) - F:+1 / R: +7/ W: +1 - CMB: +2 - CMD: 16, Speed: 30

I was curious about that snare also. Should there have been a reflex save? Did you roll one for him and I just read things wrong?

Smite Evil is on a creature so your smite is still active on the half-orc.

The snare was automatic. No save. Yeah, I agree. It's pretty nuts.

Silver Crusade

Rhydderch comes back to life with a snarl and sees his sword lying a few feet away. Not sure if he's been noticed or not, he says a quick prayer to Iomedae while drawing his mace.

1d20 + 7 - 4 ⇒ (20) + 7 - 4 = 23 (Smite evil; attacking from prone)
1d6 + 4 ⇒ (2) + 4 = 6

Critical Confirmation: 1d20 + 7 - 4 ⇒ (2) + 7 - 4 = 5 (Smite evil; attacking from prone)

The party's combined attacks rock the vicious aspis woman but she still stands.

On top of the wall, the assassin draws a potion, drinks it, and disappears from sight.

Priscilla is up.

Priscilla moves back to C11 and channels energy. 1d6 ⇒ 5

The orcish woman wheels on the prone paladin.

"Didn't I kill you once already?"

She slashes wildly.

Primary w/ Inspire vs Prone: 1d20 + 7 ⇒ (12) + 7 = 19
Damage: 1d4 + 6 ⇒ (4) + 6 = 10

Despite the divine blessings on him, her blade finds its mark opening another bleeding wound and rendering the assimar unconscious.

"Your turn little one!" she hisses as she swings at Chanix.

Chanix stabs for perhaps his final time

1d6 + 1 ⇒ (6) + 1 = 7

confirmation: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (8) + 5 = 13

Is he considered flat-footed while prone? If not doesn't Rhy have 1 hp left from the 2 channels? Wait the second attack is on me. I thought he had 11 hp from the channels.

Silver Crusade

I started with 13hp....lost 17 and was down to -4. First channel brought me to +2. Last attack to -8, last channel to -2. I have -4AC while prone and +3 to my AC against the orc due to smite evil. Essentially a 19 hits.

Priscilla hears the soft sound of something landing in front of her. A moment later, the assassin becomes visible and jabs at her with a stylized spear.

Attack vs Flatfooted: 1d20 + 4 + 2 ⇒ (16) + 4 + 2 = 22
Damage: 1d6 + 1d6 + 2 ⇒ (1) + (3) + 2 = 6

He's standing @ C10.

Before Rhydderch can even realizes what's going on, the blade catches him in the ribs and he blacks out again.

The ninja glances over as the downed half-orc and after bowing gracefully springs up the wall and flees the temple. You can take a parting AoO if you'd like.

Chanix collects his daggers and his thoughts. He begins to search the half Orc and the area within which the battle took place.

"Worry about getting these two back on their feet. We'll figure out those others in a bit."

I'm not going to go into a ton of detail on what gear they had because the scenario is basically over.

Of interest on the half-orc, Chanix finds a silver aspis badge signifying her of being significant ranking.

A short moment later, the rat-woman returns shivering fiercely.

The two of you manage to resuscitate poor Toren. He's lightheaded and woozy for a while (staggered) but a minute or so later he recovers fully with no real harm beyond his pride.

The ratfolk falls on her knees and hugs Priscilla.

"Thank you merciful Pathfinders!"

I was but if it's not Chanix's style, I understand.

The ratwoman becomes a blubbering mess.

"I'm sorry kind Pathfinders. I cannot say!"

It quickly becomes obvious that she is not going to be talking anytime soon.

We're just about done. Feel free to do some finishing RP and I'll do a conclusion post later tonight.

You all return to the point that you arrived at and each see an impression in the air that you instinctively know will take you home. The slaves are in tow, happy to return home.

The ratwoman is with you but she can't return through these portals. Her home is here within the tapestry. Her fate is in your hands.

Silver Crusade

Is getting the ratwoman to reveal something part of someone's faction mission?

Rhydderch quietly pulls Chanix aside. "Chanix, this rat-person deserves some mercy. She appears on the verge of telling us something of import...but for whatever reason she may need a gentle nudge. See if you can gain her trust."

All you need is a 10+ to Aid Another for a +2 on a roll already made...it might be enough to push her to helpful.

It was invigorating and I can respect such artistry in skill. So why not tell the Halfling what she wants to know?"
