Maps, etc...

Well described contingencies.

There's a rush of comments and commands between the dark elves. On the bridge two of the four drow ready crossbows and fire at Tyrrol. Two prepare their rapiers.

1d20 + 7 - 2 ⇒ (2) + 7 - 2 = 7 .... damage 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (3) + 1 = 4
1d20 + 8 ⇒ (8) + 8 = 16 .... damage 1d4 + 1 ⇒ (1) + 1 = 2

Also anticipating a charge, rapier boys are delaying until Tyrrol gets in range.

Lothan:
In his current position Lothan suffers a dearth of targets, except one with full cover behind the chests. He'll need to move toward the waterfall to get an angle on one or maybe two elves behind the southern column or move down near the bridge to get an angle on the caster. Except for the cover provided by the chests, the drow behind the chests would be visible from anywhere along the beachfront.

Tyrrol, Lothan and Lecian.

Tyrrol pounds across the bridge, smacking out at the closest Elf as he does so.

The first drow braces himself and thrusts as Tyrrol closes. Once again the narrowness of the bridge plays to Tyrrol's advantage, and only one drow can attack him at the moment.

Rapier1d20 + 10 ⇒ (17) + 10 = 27 ... damage 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (5) + 1 = 6

Tyrrol's mace slams into the elf's chest and expels the breath from him. He tumbles into the translucent green water below the bridge.

The next drow drives his rapier forward.
Rapier1d20 + 10 ⇒ (5) + 10 = 15 ... damage 1d6 + 1 ⇒ (4) + 1 = 5

Wow. You've almost cut down more than half the mooks and I've barely scratched you.

Heh. Well, Tyrrol *is* basically a minor avatar of Groetus ;-)

That said, the Hunger of Urgathoa (TM) is certainly wreaking havoc in their ranks, as well.

Maps, etc...

And Lothan's been dropping them too. I added four mooks to this encounter to try to bring it up to your speed.

Lothan and Lecian. Then it's my turn.

Oh and Tyrrol:
At the end of your charge you can hear again.

Lothan moves toward the bridge and up the ladder so as to gain clearer shots on the dark elves.

Is a double move up the ladder possible?

Maps, etc...

You move 30'. 20' to the ladder ; 15' climb = 30' ; on the bridge. Double move works.

Mordecai trails Tyrrol and works his dark magic. I'll dig up their saves later. 14 hp won't drop them, but it will make them easy pickings for Tyrrol.

Lothan dashes to the ladder and climbs to the deck of the bridge.

Lecian,

Male Human Diviner Wizard 6

Lecian moves to L-10. If this takes him out of the silent area, he'll cast Dispel Magic on the waterfall elf. Otherwise, he'll cast Silent True Strike.

Dispel: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (18) + 6 = 24

Maps, etc...

Lecian moves back down the beach the way he came.

Lecian:
L-10 is the first square that will get you out of the silence, but the central pillar will block line of sight to the waterfall elf G8)( from there. You met retcon your spell selection or the target.

I'll just cast the True Strike spell.

Lecian, done.

The fighter left on the main platform draws a bead on Lecian and fires another quarrel.

I swear I replied to this yesterday! Luke and Javell are both right. Lothan ends up in M4.

The drow caster hisses with rage as her flail is pulled from her grasp.

Mordecai feels the darkness tearing from his body like a river of ice, and feels suspended, as if trembling on the precipice of a great hungry void, pulling the lives of his foes past him to be devoured by oblivion. The sensation causes him to laugh involuntarily as he continues to channel the power of the Pallid Princess.

"Death is my gift to you all!" he cries out, as the negative energy continues to wash over the room, swirling past his allies like a river around stones, to only draw vitality from their elven foes.

More channel energy, DC 16 Will save for half, affects all in 30 ft. but himself, Lecian, Lothan and Tyrrol. 3d6 ⇒ (5, 5, 5) = 15

Right behind Tyrrol.

Maps, etc...

This could be a game changer.

The drow woman drifts higher toward the ceiling and holds forth a flat black stone engraved with a eldritch blue rune. The bridge column beside Mordecai splinters in a burst of jagged wood. The bridge deck groans, sags and collapses, threatening to dump Tyrrol and Mordecai into the water.

I need a reflex save from Mordecai and Tyrrol. 22 to get off scott free. 20 to remain standing on the platform, but off balance. (No dex bonus and -2 to BAB, CMB, CMD for next turn) 15 to catch yourself on the edge of the deck. (You will have to make a climb check to regain the deck next turn and suffer all the climbing penalties.)

The drow commander will see how this plays out before acting.

Tyrrol has the grace to look mildly surprised as the bridge collapses under him.

As he falls, he manages a single shrug, before disappearing beneath the surface of the water, flail still held tightly in his hands.

I call that a decent exit ;-)

(AC 19, hp 33 of 37) Human Cleric (Urgathoa) 6

Ooh, Reflex save. My kryptonite! 1d20 + 3 ⇒ (14) + 3 = 17

"Oh hells," Mordecai says under his breath as the sodden wood gives way beneath him and he plunges shoulder-deep in the brackish water, with only a fortunate last minute death-grip on the edge of the pier saving him from dropping entirely below the surface.

Two channels left, I believe. Mordecai did always wonder what it would be like to channel negative energy from inside somethings' stomach. Perhaps this will be his big chance...

Maps, etc...

Initiative 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (4) + 6 = 10

Ref 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (18) + 4 = 22

The drow nearest Tyrrol balances at the edge of the collapsed bridge, waving his arms in circles to keep from following Tyrrol into the drink.

On the plus side -- this gives Lothan a clear lane of fire down the bridge. He could potentially down the first drow, and then the one behind him.

The deck pitches steeply, but Mordecai hangs on. The planks of the collapsed section are now more like ladder rungs.

Mordecai it will be a move action with a DC 5 climb check to reach the still-standing bridge deck or a full round action with no check. Or I guess you could just hang out there. You're not that deep

Tyrrol plunges into brackish water which stings his eyes and nose. He seems to plunge down forever, but eventually he scrapes along a rocky wall and stops on a gravelly floor. Looking around he can make out a rocky wall that rises back to the surface and a number of pillars that support the bridge. The pillar south of him is barely taller than he and ends in a series of jagged splinters. The light dims and he looks up to see the silhouetted smooth sleek tail of a big fish slash past. Planks litter the surface of the water above.

The climb up the wall is easy -- DC 10. You've got about 20' to the surface. Swimming is an option too. Climbing on this side will bring you out on the drow side of the channnel. You could cross the channel and try to climb out on the side the party started on. Half-movement to walk across the bottom.

Mordecai watches in horror as a black dorsal fin cuts toward him through the water. A huge tooth filled mouth opens and snaps shut on a drifting timber, obliterating it. Then the fish glides past into the larger pool beyond and begins to turn.

Mordecai drew his morningstar at the end of last round. Check your post. You didn't fall adjacent to the bank or a piling so you'll need to swim 5' to a piling or 15'to either shore.
