The name actually started as a joke. I work with the friend that got me into Pathfinder, and he was nearby when I got talking to a prior service Marine. At the time, we were setting up my Paizo account, and I couldn't come up with a good alias to GM under. The guy called me "Devil Doc" several times during our conversation, and when I returned to where my friend and I were working on my account, he had already created and saved the alias. Thus, GM DevilDoc was born!

FYI, I had my character accepted in a campaign and am going to use my Egil Forkbeard alias for that campaign.
I'm going to continue along here using this alias instead (I'm not worried about the credit).
Egil, looking at the game you just got accepted to... It's not PFS. There should be no conflict with you playing your PFS character Egil Forkbeard, here, and then playing a new non-PFS Alias, "Egil Forkbeard Jr." or "Egil the Forkbeardiest" in your new Rise of the Runelords game. That way you could finish out the PFS game you committed to with the PFS character that you started with. Does this make sense?

I was unaware when we first spoke that you were talking about an AP and thought that you were moving over to another society game. That's where the confusion came in.

I believe that I owe all of you an apology for my erratic posting this week. It has been a rough couple of weeks on the homefront, and this week has seen a number of upsets to my normal schedule. Hopefully, things will have settled out and I can return to a more normal pace, both in life and in my gaming.

Yes, I agree! I'm going to stick with Lore Warden as it fits with Theon's concept, but I'm going to drop his focus of Combat Maneuvers. The lose of extra bonuses really, really hurt that concept. I'm now going to focus on getting into the Student of War PrC in the Adventurer's Guide. I can get Int to AC so I think I"m going to swap Dex and Int and drop the Heirloom Weapon. Looking at working with Combat Patrol and possibly Whirldwind Attack.

Just a reminder that Theon is utilizing the Slow progression for this and the next scenario!
I'm going to drop the Heirloom weapon trait for something a little more useful when I have a moment to look through the lists. I was going to plan on using Trips with my reach weapon, but the new Lore Warden just does not have anywhere near the viability that it used to for combat maneuvers.

Excellent, DevilDoc! I will work on getting Theon updated a little later this afternoon. I had a late night last night when a ran over a mutated giant raccoon or possum in my squad car that decided to cracked the transmission cooler with his freakishly large body and then scurry away after disabling my vehicle.... which made me feel like I was crazy, because I never found what I ran over and killed my vehicle...
Clearly it was a Dire variation with the Advanced template, DR 20/-, and Regeneration 20...
Lmao! I am sorry to hear that, but glad you are ok! I saw one of those dire racoons once back home in the Texas scrub. Damn thing had to weigh 50 lbs. We just stared at each other for a moment, then I got back in my car and waited for him to go on his merry way!
