Botting Aegis, seems like I'm saying that a lot lately

Per: 13 - 3d6 - 4 ⇒ 13 - (3, 4, 2) - 4 = 0

Attack: 3d6 ⇒ (4, 3, 3) = 10

Aegis, finally spotting a thin spot in the images, leaps up and through the wires turning solid mid-leap as she tries to punch Jester.

Jester's body twists, and Aegis misses, landing on the balcony.

"Woah! She almost hit me Your Majesty!"

"She didn't though, ignore her, she's slow."

Phase 4

Pulse sees the zombie again in her mirror, and the teeth again sink into her reflection.

Hit: 3d6 ⇒ (4, 3, 4) = 11
Damage: 2d6 ⇒ (5, 2) = 7 Pulse takes 7 stun

Rocket:

Your vision keeps flickering, usually you just see a mirror. However, for the moment, because you made the check by 4, you can see Jester. She's standing on a wire in mid air up above over the opening. You can't see Queen anywhere, but there is a wall of paper now up where her images used to be.

Seeing Jester flicker into view, Rocket seizes the moment attempts to grab her (running up onto the wall if necessary).

Assuming he succeeds, he does his best to hold her arms tight, trying both to knock the wind out of her and to keep her from grabbing any cards.

"Hey, look what I caught!"

Rocket runs up the wall, and along one of the wires and tries to grab Jester as he does, but the confetti whipping in his face as he runs makes him misjudge the grab, and he misses her entirely. For a moment he could swear her body moved of it's own accord, and he's very sure she giggled as he missed.

Once he stops on the other side of her, the mirror snaps back into place, and the wire he's standing on vanishes, leaving him floating in mid air, this time with a mirrored floor below him, and a mirrored roof above him.

You missed, sorry. As to the vanishing act, you better hope you make your perception at -4 next round, or you'll be standing on a wire you can't see!

Mud is discombobulated, and is having trouble figuring out which way is which this round. He can use Breakfall to 'kippup', stand as a free action. Otherwise, he's going to have to spend a half-action standing up. He can't jump from prone, that requires buying 'position shift' on your leaping.

Looks like I got lucky...but I'm also very very confused right now. Is there a reason I had to stop my turn on a wire? I thought I was running back down (with or without her) to the ground with friends. Are distorted perceptions making me stay on wires and think I'm on the floor?
.
Separate Q: can you describe again what I've seen regarding Queenie. What I think I know is that she was there and is now surrounded by paper? Is that right? And is the paper on the ground? Or in the air?Is the set of blue hexes a wall of paper?
.
Apologies, as I suspect I'm missed some things that were already explained, but I've gone back through posts to try to make sense of it and still pretty uncertain.

Rocket, if you want to run up and down, you need to specify that. If you just say 'run and grab her' my assumption is you want to run up to her and grab her, leaving you next to her. Please either be more precise in your posts, or don't complain when I take your posts as written? Your entire post is : Seeing Jester flicker into view, Rocket seizes the moment attempts to grab her (running up onto the wall if necessary). Nothing in that says 'Run up , grab her, run back down'.

There is paper on the floor, there is confetti and sheets of paper in the air. The blue hexes are where you're hearing her voice from, one voice from each hex. You can't see there though because there's a wall of paper between you and the hexes now. The red hexes are where you are hearing Jeter's voice, and seeing an alternate version of Jester. You've realized which one is real, which is the one you tried to grab (the one between you and the railing).

I see why my post was ambiguous. I thought that drawing my route made it clear but I can put more into the post too. This is a very complex battle map (which I like, since it makes for an interesting encounter...but it's clear it'll take more back and forth to avoid misunderstandings). So...
.
1. I've put a Yellow outline around the one I *think* you just said is the one Rocket believes is the real Jester. Is that right? I think I'm going to need that level of detail given how much movement is core to my powers, and how complex a space this is to move in.
2. Are there wires all around the room? Or only where Jester is? I think part of the confusion before is that I saw you says she was "standing on a wire in mid air up above over the opening" and assumed (incorrectly, I now understand) that "the opening" was the door we came in. That's why I drew the path that I did.
3. I (player) am considering doing a Winding Trail through the blue paper wall. Is there anything that Rocket sees that make that look problematic, or that I should be aware of when planning my route?
. . 3a. If it looks reasonable, I'll do that now (starting by trying to hit Jester, and then going into the paper for Queen.
. . 3b. Once I break the barrier, I'll go straight for Queen if I see her. If I don't see her (and am not prevented in some way) I'll loop through each of those spaces.

Yeah, it's a complex fight, and the images and confetti make it even worse. The entire area that's opened is criss-crossed with tight ropes. About 1 inch thick. Jester is trained and has the right foot gear to bounce and stand on those wires. Rocket, on the other hand, is wearing running shoes. So he'll have to make Acrobatics checks to do anything other than run (he can only run because his run is flight must touch surface). And if you slow down his feet he's hilariously missing the wire and slipping off and recovering over and over again going over them. And yes, that is where you think Jester is.

To clarify...

1 : Yes, that's where you think she is (on your turn).

2 : Criss-crossed over the second floor, anchored on the railing.

3 : You can't actually see the blue hexes, the paper wall blocks your sight from where you were, it seems to curve up and over as well, blocking off view from above.

3A : Your winding trail is all or nothing, you can't combine it with a hit on Jester, you can use it on Jester as well, but not attakc her and then do something else

Rocket bounces over the wires, and tries to hit Jester again but again misses her. Running down the wally at max speed, he tries to run through the wall of paper...

Move Through: 4d6 + 6d6 + 1d3 ⇒ (6, 6, 3, 3) + (1, 6, 1, 2, 2, 1) + (1) = 32 10 body, 32 stun

...and bounces off the wall of paper as if he'd run into a concrete blockade. The paper doesn't even move. Rocket takes 10 body and 32 stun, before defenses, so no body and 18 stun after defenses.

Breakfall at -4 to avoid falling down from being stopped at full speed run.

As Janice steps in the door, walls rise up from the floor and a lid slams into place. She has just a second to see 8 girls in jester outfit floating in mid air, and several other wooden cylinders sitting around before the walls rise up out of the floor around her, letting her know what those cylinders are.

The insides are full of fun house mirrors, distorting her features.

"Is there no end to these people? We just had a walking shrub come in the front door Queenie!" A girl's voice in 8 part harmony says, somewhat annoyed.

"That's fine, I think I have some hedgeclippers in my pocket." Another 8 part harmony replies, faintly muffled.

"Red's in the stairwell, J. Let's contain Blue, and block Indigo, Yellow, and Green as much as you can." Queen says in harmony. "Then let's make Green the priority target."

"Yes ma'am, your Majesty! Isolate Red, murdelize Green!"

"No, give Green the bird."

"OH! The bird, right!"

Mud:

Mud again has that overwhelming thud as if several tons of something slammed into the ground, near Rocket and someone who just came in the room from outside.

Pulse suddenly sees a paper bird fly up from the floor, assembling out of paper and confetti. As if in slow motion, it's wings flap in front of her and it's paper eye gazes at her. Then it swoops up and through the roof of the cylinder she's in. Then another one, and another, and another, each rocketing past her in flight, mussing her hair as the air is disturbed by their flight. In the mirror, she can see a half-dozen hawks winging into a dive toward her reflection.

Even as they do, the hawks in the mirror rip into her reflection with their talons, blood splattering from the mirror image as it's blinded. Pulse's eyes are in agony as both hits come in simultaneously. However, she manages to remain on her feet as paper slams into her like bricks. Pulse takes 13 stun total, after defenses

The path I drew for myself assumes it goes past Jester at full speed. Adjust if that's not true. It also assumes I missed. If I actually got her, I'll instead go over by Mud in the hopes that he can KO her.

Rocket finds that the paper wall around him is just as impenetrable as it was when he ran into it the first time. But now it surrounds him!

Rocket is unable to go attack anyone because he's inside a cylinder made of paper that seems to be as hard as concrete... reinforced with steel plating

Snap is up!

Huh? Did you post that above? I thought that I hit a wall around *Queen*. Where did I miss you saying there was a wall surrounding Rocket?

Oh, sorry, it seems a copy/paste error got rid of the paragraph where the wall moved and wrapped around Rocket. See the black lines on the map.

Snapdragon's line of sight is also blocked by an extension from the wall that's surrounding Rocket.

OK, no worries--I've certainly made such mistakes plenty of times before.
.
Does the wall have a roof? e.g. could I try to run up the wall or flip out of it with Acro?

It has a roof, it goes up about 6.5 feet and curves into a dome.

Janice:

You manage to force yourself to see past the illusions for a second. You can see Jester up above you standing on tight ropes. You can't see past the paper wall however, so you're not sure where Queen is.

Male Energy Projector (fire)

As Blaze waited and listened, a thought came up. He decided to share it...

::Hey guys…about the potential fire hazard…what if that isn't the usual "easy to burn" type of paper? Maybe I should consider entering this fray?::

He was deeply aware of the threat: If he was wrong, this could turn into a five-alarm kind of situation really fast.
