Seems a bit misleading to me to call the Thaumaturge and Psychic Two new character classes (the bolding is on Paizo's blog) when they are existing classes remastered

That's fair to say! The classes by name are not new, but they have been reworked since their last release!

Really looking forward to the Paizo Live to get a look at the revamped Dark Archives, it was easily one of my favorite content additions to the game <3

Anything you might be able/willing to tease about any interesting changes to the classes as part of the Remaster in the lead-up to the stream?

Is it possible to skip the Dark Archive remaster book without canceling my rulebook subscription?

Yes go to your subscription manager and "more options" and "skip product" on the book.

Thank you. Weirdly, my subscription manager does not show actual products, just the subscriptions that are active in each month. Is that normal?

You know, one thing I wish they had carried forward after Dark Archive an Gatewalkers is the Cryptids section in the different setting blurbs. Really enjoyed that flavor in the Lake of Mists and Veils read through.

Do we know when some of the information or teasers of the Dark Archive Remaster class changes will be coming out? Or will there be nothing until the book is out?

Subscribers get it on the 20th, and I imagine the PDFs will probably update then too? If there were anything big enough to mention in a preview announcement, I think we would've gotten that already.

Hi Maya, I am hoping you can help.

For some reason that I cannot imagine, there is still no public information about the PDF or the Foundry module for the remastered Season of Ghosts adventure path, which is now just 3 weeks away.

I have tried asking about these on the relevant forum post about the remastered edition of the AP.
I have tried emailing Paizo directly, more than a week ago.
I have tried emailing Metamorphic, more than a week ago. But under the terms of their contract with Paizo all they could do was forward my query to Paizo. At least I got a friendly reply from them.

All avenues have been met with complete silence from Paizo, other than James Jacobs encouraging us to "make an assumption" [sic] in the above linked forum discussion that things will be done similarly to Gatewalkers, covered in caveats that he isn't in the relevant team, his comments are not official, etc.

Perhaps there is some genius 4D chess marketing strategy at play here, but frankly I am at an utter loss as to why Paizo does not want anyone to know what price the new Season of Ghosts PDF will sell for, and whether or not there will even be a new Foundry module or if the existing 4 modules will be updated instead. And if the former, which everyone discussing this basically assumes but (again) has never been confirmed, what happens to those who buy the 4 modules in January? Will those modules be updated? Or are they just screwed because they didn't pore over ever forum and reddit thread and discord discussion and then decide to wait based on a consensus assumption?

This is a remastered edition of what is by a mile the most highly-rated adventure path Paizo has ever published. Accoridng to the Paizo Store page right now, Season of Ghosts are currently the most popular Foundry modules, which means you're at risk of angering a whole bunch of people who bought the 'wrong' edition and will quite reasonably complain about it.

I am sorry about the harsh tone of this post. My ire is certainly not directed at you; indeed you have gained a reputation in the pathfinder community as basically our only way to get any information at all out of Paizo. But I am not the only person who is becoming increasingly frustrated by strange marketing decisions and terrible communication lately.

I am really looking forward to running Season of Ghosts, starting in February. I just want to know when and at what price I can buy your products. Please weave your magic and help me and many others just give you our money.

Just popping in to second SatiricalBard's post. About 2 weeks ago, my weekly Pathfinder group voted on me running Season of Ghosts when we finish Malevolence. At the time, I was unaware of the hardcover book coming out. So I bought the first book to start my prep. In the process of reading and understanding the material, I learned about the hardcover. I am excited for it and plan to by the PDF of it as soon as we learn the price. But the community not knowing anything about the Foundry situation is slightly irksome. When I run a game, I pour a lot of time into prep. Not knowing if there will be a new Foundry module and if so if it will release the same day or what the release date when we are less than a month from the date just feels like we are being left void of information intentionally. Also knowing how much I should be budgeting for this would help a lot. Foundry mods and PDFs represent a fair chunk of money to me and are always worth it... but I need to know how much I need to save up.

I will also second that my frustration isn't directed at Maya but rather this situation. I am excited to run this but having prices, dates, and even confirmation of existence would really help.

The existing four modules will almost assuredly not get updated with new text, but all the creature updates will be in the system. With Gatewalkers there was a new module for the combined edition, and I expect that to be the case for Seasons of Ghosts too.

This is actually not planned for a stream since the changes were not large enough for a feature, but I can tell you here what was done!

• All rules updated to the remastered ruleset
• Improved versions of the psychic and thaumaturge classes
• Adventures updated with new monster and item references

That's it! Do let me know if you have any other questions though! subscribers will receive that updated PDF next Tuesday!

It is not normal, but what IS normal is for this page to be a little funky since it's being actively worked on by the team!

Thanks! Mostly I was curious how the Psychic would be impacted, given how the Focus/Refocus system was dramatically changed and ended up making one of the unique gimmicks of the class obsolete (also I'm assuming the store page is showing the Pre-Remaster page previews, as the presence of the 18th level feat Deepest Wellspring still uses language from Pre-Master)

The only other real question I have for those of us who purchased the PDF version of Dark Archives: will our access to the Remaster be updated along with the Subscribers or not until general product release?

Thanks much! <3

Based on what I saw posted elsewhere, not until the street date, but that's second-hand. (Although subscribers will probably answer the most burning questions before then.)

Alright, I've got some answers!

For Foundry, the team has let me know that it will be getting the same treatment as the Gatewalkers compilation from last year except even more, with custom dice, new maps, and an original musical soundtrack to be released separately! So yes, there will be a new single module. They did not give me any information on price though. To be clear, this is not because we don't want anyone to know the price? That would frankly be weird. A more likely reason (and the usual reason when we don't have prices for things listed) is that it just hasn't been determined yet by the team involved.

As for our PDF, that will be available on the street date release of the hardcover, and it'll be $39.99. Also I did not receive any emails from you, so I'm sorry your questions were not answered that way!

Point of clarification: the official 23-track Season of Ghosts original soundtrack, composed by the inimitable Filip Melvan at Michael Ghelfi Studios, will in fact be fully incorporated into the Foundry module! It will also be available separately on the Paizo webstore for your in-person and otherwise non-Foundry gaming needs, but if you buy the module, you'll already have it baked in and ready to go, as well as all of the other additional goodies, including a set of all-new digital maps that can be changed over the seasons (of ghosts), a snazzy new custom turn marker, and a full set of exclusive digital dice!

Edit: Also worth noting is that all of the prexisting tokens and maps have been updated to include full Dynamic Token Ring support and animated doors respectively!

Oh, also, the price will be $64.99. We should be getting a page up on the webstore pretty soon!

Thanks for clearing that up Andrew. The impact of a missing comma!

(Insert jokes about the 'smudge comma' in the Fifth Amendment to the US Constitution here...)

Great, thanks for letting us know. That seems a very fair price point to me, given this is converting 4 modules worth of content rather than 3, plus the bundled soundtrack.

I'm really looking forward to grabbing this as soon as it's out, and kicking off my SoG campaign in February!

$65 is a great price point! I was worried with reference to gatewalkers remaster price, and SoG being a 4 book, it'd end up closer to $100.

And especially when it includes the OST, too!

That price WOULD be better for me, if you had anything about the new release on the marketplace. Instead, I got excited to run my first ever PF2E campaign for friends, buying the original FVTT modules, and finding a link to this thread on Reddit has completely killed my enthusiasm for your company. Is there an official way to get a refund, so that I can buy the new version, or will I need to just move on to a different game?

Sorry your momentum got put out by this! If you'd like a refund, you can return to the source site and contact Customer Service. If you got your modules on our site, you can find that link below, but if you got them form the FoundryVTT website, you'll have to go there!
