From my test with Solarian in 3 combats at level 1 has shown me some basic flaws I believe from the class. I choose the Ancestry Human with Natural Ambition feat for Twin Weapon and Stellar rush but like many have said I have yet to actively want to Stellar Rush since it has the Cycle Trait which is very a negative to Photon Attunement. If it was replaced by Sudden Charge I'd had used it at-least once in the 3 combats we had.
Supernova while an Emanation is cool it really hurts the Solarian when there is another melee-martial in the part which makes me concern about aiming it to not effect my allies which made me unable to use my Supernova in any of the 3 combats despite it being the better call to hurt all the enemies in the second combat.
Instead I placed myself within flanking of 2 of the enemies for max carnage. If there was a ability or feat that excludes allies on the Solarian it would greatly help when they are in battle with a fellow Melee Martial. Or else many of their class features and feats will be ignored for the sheer fact flanking is just very strong.

I think if the solarian could choose like a semicircle or half emanation maybe that would help tons though no clue how to flavor that. Maybe if they rework cosmic infusion to be a supernova healing feat for solarian? As long as out of combat attunement isn't abused you could maybe choose to deal 1/2 of the fire damage you would deal to allies and make it healing instead? Or maybe better one half of your emanation is healing and the other is fire tho and half of the damage goes one way and half as healing the other. Currently though I've been managing by getting the other melee to delay, sprinting in and supernova turn 1 of an encounter it seems like it would be necessary for.
