This thread is for asking Vanessa Hoskins questions pertaining to Rusthenge, on behalf of Pathfinder Wiki.

Simply put, where on Chakikoth isle is Rusthenge? Same question goes for Osprey Cove and Iron Harbour. Where would you have us pin these places on the Wiki’s world map?

We figure they exist on the southern half of Chakikoth but are unsure as to where exactly, and some clarification either here or in a future product would be wonderful.

I understand that she is likely very busy, and may not respond. That’s Ok, but I thought I’d try.

Vanessa's no longer active on these forums, but I can answer this. The whole Kindred Coast, which includes Osprey Cove, Iron Harbor, and Rusthenge, comprises about a 20 mile stretch of land along the southern coast of Chakikoth Isle, probably more or less at the halfway point from where the coast turns north to the east and then south into the little peninsula to the west. I'm not going to give an exact pinpoint location here, since this is not the place to set that sort of thing in canon–if/when we do more on the region and include a more detailed map of New Thassilon thereabouts we'll tag it then. In the short term, "along the southern coast of Chakikoth Isle" is gonna have to pretty much serve for the wiki's needs.

(As an aside, while the Wiki is super helpful, it's not something that we have the time to "officially manage" or interact with, and I don't want to set a precedent of giving out "official lore" via back channels like this on the messageboards. That sort of thing gets lost in the vast of the internet, and so it's best to wait for official publications to get this sort of information.)

Thanks and fair enough. No precedent set. I’m new to the wiki, and a lil blunt .

Any way I can get this post deleted for bad form? I’m a lil embarrassed and got confused re: best practices on the matter. Or Paizo can leave it as a teaching moment.

Oh! It's okay, and I didn't think this was in bad form. No embarrassment intended, tis all good!

I think that the public perception about the wiki might be confusing, frankly, so as a teaching moment this is valuable.

We use the wiki a lot in house as a supplement to researching content, in fact, but it's not something we have the capacity to keep up with, since we're focused on creating product, is all.

No worries, and thanks for helping out with the wiki!
