John Amos, patriarch on ‘Good Times’ and an Emmy nominee for the blockbuster ‘Roots,’ dies at 84
According to the article he died back in August, but it looks like his publicist just confirmed it. He seemed to be best known for Good Times, but I also remember him from Die Hard 2, Coming to America, and The Beastmaster. Rest in Peace.
