Elf with a bite attack?

Advice

Scarab Sages

Hgy guys, I'm racking my brain trying to figure out a way to give an elf a bite attack without dipping into an archetype. So far the only thing I can think of is to make them a Nephalim and give them the 'bestial Manifestation' feat . . . which works, but I'd prefer if there was another option. I've looked at at just about everything else. Is there a background that gives a bite attack or something? Anything I'm missing?

I'm not finding any backgrounds that give any unarmed attacks.

I'm also not aware of any equipment that gives a bite attack, though I could be missing something there too.

Ancestry feats from a Versatile Heritage is probably your best option.

Silver Crusade

Yhere are some classes that give you bite attacks. Eg sorceror with Gluttons Jaw or bear animal instinct barbarian. Not sure if that is of any use.

Beastkin Versatile Heritage? (I actually have an Elf Crocodile Beastkin Psychic, so I know it works.)

Pathfinder Lost Omens, Rulebook, Starfinder Roleplaying Game Subscriber

Might be a stretch but you could flavor Gouging Claw to be a bite

Likely intentional.

PF1e had a long and dark history of catfolk barbarian/alchemists that were raised by half orcs.

Horizon Hunters

Tooth and Claw Tattoo gives you a bite attack for 1 action, with unlimited frequency (until the errata arrives)

Sounds like you've locked in your Class and other aspects. So the easiest way to gain a Bite attack, namely, be an Alchemist and use Bestial Mutagens, is probably out.

What do you already have locked in? Presumably you already know what class you want, or you would have gone barbarian or witch or something. You know that you don't want archetypes. What other flexibility do you have?

Bestial Mutagen will do it, and the higher levels can last for quite a while.

Technically, Greater Cloak of the Bat (level 17) will let you transform into a bat (and thus get a bite attack) as many times per day as you want. Probably not what you're looking for here, though.

The options are... fewer than I'd have previously have expected.

Doesn't help now, but I would expect there to be a good chance that Howl of the Wild will have bite attack options when it comes out.

Liberty's Edge

Create them as a Gnoll and give them the Half-Elf Heritage. Since how you present between the two bloodlines is 100% up to you you can just say you look like a hairier than normal elf with a chad jawline and call it a day, plus, you get to retain the Elf Trait, access to Elf Feat and as a bonus you'll get access to a ton of awesome Gnoll options on top of that. You don't need to lose even a single Feat to do it this way.

Well. That sounds like an interesting backstory.

Heck - take Elf Atavism as your level 1 ancestry feat and you can even still have an elven heritage.

Interesting, no one mentioned the obvious Fangs.

Sort of.

Magical Experiment Background

While it does not list a bite attack as one of the stated options, it does say:

Work with the GM to select an appropriate ability from the following list or to come up with another special ability.
