Hi I’m new to the game starfinder and I am looking at playing either a drone mechanic or exocortex mechanic with multiclassing into techomancer with drone techomancy alt class feat.
So here are my questions
1) if I’m a drone mechanic and then multiclass into drone techomancy do I get a second drone ?
The description for Drone Technomancy specifically states: "If you have additional levels in a class that provides you a drone artificial intelligence, you add them together to the determine the effectiveness of your drone."
2) if I do get a second drone the one from drone mechanic will be level 1 and the one from drone techomancy would be level 2?
You do not gain a second drone. See above.
3) if I’m an exocortex mechanic and mutliclass as a drone techomancy would the drone stay at level 1 only if I don’t invest anymore levels into techomancer?
The Drone Technomancy description states: "You gain a drone artificial intelligence, using your technomancer level as your mechanic level." The exocortex mechanic does not provide a drone artificial intelligence to add to the technomancer level; however, the Control Net class feature at mechanic 17 would allow you to split mechanic levels between the exocortex and a drone (which would add to the technomancer level[s] for Drone Technomancy).
