From what you describe, your purchase attempt most likely failed, and the apparent charge was a temporary hold on the funds to determine that you can pay for the goods and which will be reversed eventually. If you did not see an order number (either immediately or in an order confirmation e-mail), that is almost certainly what happened.
Hopefully someone from Paizo can provide more assistance. I would recommend sending an e-mail to customer.service@paizo.com to ask for help in reversing the charge sooner and/or helping you take care of whatever problem prevented your order from going through.

This happened to me today. I got to the end of the purchase process submitted my details. Clicked submit. Nothing happened. Click again - nothing. After a few times trying clicked back to the checkout and got a message saying the payment had failed. Checked my bank and I have 5 x transaction pending ready to come out of my account. No digital download. Fingers crossed the transactions don't come out and are reversed. Sent an email to support but no response yet.

OK! I JUST got the webstore to work.
I have to go to the second 2 with the payment details, clear out my card and address, and re-input both. When I submitted the order in box 3, "Place Order", it went through!Now to make sure those other charges drop off!
