Eye of Avarice and Gate

Once the PC's have gone into the Eye of Avarice, are they able to Gate out and come back?
Or are they stuck there like Karzoug

You can gate out. It is explicitely stated so under the description of area Y1 Arrival Platform and again under the final fight ("If the PCs are

forced to flee (via plane shift or gate, most likely),...")

That is of course if Karzoug lets them teleport/gate out.
