I play exclusively in online games.
I currently GM 2 different games (extinction curse & the slithering)
I would love to get a high resolution map that I can add to my game.
It works well when just looking at the maps on a page. but when you scale them up where only a small part of the map takes up the whole screen, it is so pixelated that it can be difficult to see what you are looking at.
This would also be more fair to the artist that have spend a lot of time adding small details to the map and then when they are compressed that detail is lost.
I know that some VTTs have a limit to how big files can be but as I am using Foundry VTT they can be as big as I want. so why not give me the option.
