Also please make sure the grids are correct (or allow us to hide them). Some of the grids in AotS had different width, which also make them unusable for VTT...
This might be what you're talking about, so apologies if I'm repeating, but... I find that maps that have fractional-squares on the edges makes it REALLY hard to put them into Roll20 and align them properly. The solution is open the map in an editor, crop the fractional squares at the edges, and THEN put them into Roll20. But that's a ton of work. Why not just publish maps that don't have a 1/3 of a square on the edge?

@GM Derek: No that's not what I mean :D
In my AotS books there are several maps which where the grid didn't have consistent width, so one row of squares is 50 px wide but the next 48 or 52. So it was impossible to match a good looking grid from roll20/Foundry over it...
I agree, this has been an issue with AP maps across PF and SF lines for years.
Its kinda amusing how most if not all the discussions about this AP focus on the technical aspects of the PDFs.
That is because that is the most egregious part of the AP so far =).

I wonder why? I mean it's not that hard to add a exact grid to a picture (or paint with a grid overlay to match it) - I already did it myself and even created some sort of script to create a basic map I can paint over

I would imagine that the submitted art is probably to standard but then it gets cropped or something when it is put in the book during the layout portion. Just a little bit of error and we get pixel off.

Noven has just coined a new term for a common problem: PIXEL OFF.
