The player's companion which i believe is called 'Blood of Angels' is an indepth discussion on aasimar. I assume there's a bit on evil aasimar.
I bought the companion 'Blood of Fiends' for my tiefling in Hell's Rebels - it's been very helpful.

I haven't seen anything about Aasimar being repressed in Cheliax.
Tieflings, however...they are treated as badly as, if not worse than, halflings.

Wiki, relying on Blood of Angels, has it that "Empyreans [nee aasimars] born in Cheliax and Nidal are often considered threats by these nations' governments and forced to live in secret. Empyreans in Cheliax are particularly mistaken for cambions [nee tieflings] and subjected to the discrimination that these other planar scions regularly face."
