In service to The Darkness I write these words against the long standing superstitions of my kind.

Ralldar, the false god, is dead. His bones join those of countless brothers, misled into his service. Now they will rest eternally blessed in The Darkness beneath citadel Altaerein. So too fell this day two brave Hellknights, one Vitutus, first of his name, and loyal fire fighter, and one Alak Stagram, Armiger of the Nail. Nearly joining them was the rest of the fire fighters, as we seriously misjudged the encounter after the false god, in false face, fell asleep sitting on his throne to the casting of a spell from our sorcerer. She attempted then to sneak up and shackle what we believed to be a deranged goblin, awaking him and arising his anger.

The battle was long and fierce. We entered it bereft of spell and limited of resource. Without the heroic contributions of perhaps new friend Renali, more brave fire fighters certainly would have fallen this day. But The Darkness was watching over its servants this day, in our most challenging hour. In the face of the fire that comes to burn the world, there are still those ready to stand in the shadows and fight it to the bitter end.

So scribbles, This One, servant of The Darkness.
