Every single picture I can find of him shows his lich form. Are there ANY pictures (or even a physical description) of him before he died?

Obviously, they don't all look the same, but it narrows it down to an ancestry at least. They probably already knew he was human but I figured it was worth mentioning in case they didn't.
The Whispering Tyrant has wished away all images of his former living self, because he cares nothing about the living and that life was just a stepping stone to the true power of lichdom.
It would be interesting to see what he looked like before he became a lich. I'm curious.

After reading about him and his mindset in Tyrant's Grasp, I've visualized him as Mr. Torgue.

He began to whisper only once lichdom took his voicebox and replaced it with magic. He seems godhood so that he may recover this part of himself that he has lost, and took the title to remind himself of that goal down through the centuries.

We've never illustrated a pre-dead Tar-Baphon. Maybe some day we will, but no plans to do so anytime soon.
Now i'm imagining an Adventure Path where one is thrown back in time and meets all these luminaries back in the day, but have to NOT kill Tar-Baphon
Much like a homebrew game we played where we met future gods and knew one of them would be responsible for a genocide but had been told in no uncertain terms we were not allowed to mess with the timeline.
But one of our party members ended up killing the original Asmodeus and taking his place in history. Ooops.
I think that would be pretty frustrating to have to just tiptoe around and not be able to do anything. Better to be able to say, use the past knowledge to make the future batter(Say burying a cache of supplies to help refugees)

You may be overestimating how deleterious the transformation into a lich actually was for li'l Baphy. Remember, he perfected a technique found in the Cynotaph, likely originally created by Zutha, for his transformation, and Zutha just got a little grayer and rheumy after transforming.

I was thinking of Dafoe in Daybreakers. Vampire Dafoe, not lich Dafoe but close. Thanks for the link to Zutha. I didn't know anything about him. Pretty creepy.
There is a picture of Aroden fighting Tar-Baphon in Mythic Realms, but it deosn't help, as it incorrectly depicts Tar-Baphon in his lich form.

Can someone explain how he's like Mr.Torgue? I've played the Borderlands games but I must just not be getting the joke.
I guess I don't see it. If he reminds me of anybody I'd say Apocalypse from the X-men as he's a really evil and ancient guy who has tried to take over the world multiple times despite millenia of effort to wipe him out.

He is not someone, who you would call subtile.
I am always reminded to a degree of Xykon of Order of the Stick.
