On the righthand sidebar of the Core Rulebook, each chapter is indicated. This is very welcome, as it makes it much easier to quickly flip to a chapter.
However, some chapters would GREATLY benefit from having subsections that you can quickly flip to when needed. The Lost Omens Character Guide shows how this can be done. Currently the LOCG sidebar reads:
ANCESTRIES
Humans
Dwarves
Elves
Gnomes
Goblins
HalflingsNEW ANCESTRIES
Hobgoblins

TemplatesGLOSSARY AND INDEX
In the Core Rulebook, the Focus Spells section and the Crafting & Treasure chapter are especially difficult to navigate. The Focus Spells are subdivided by class, and the Crafting & Treasure chapter is subdivided in a very non-intuitive way.
For example, let's say I'm looking for the elixir of life.
If I flip open to the Crafting & Treasure chapter, I find myself on page 575, which includes the Rod of Wonder and Skeleton Key. I happen to know that I'm looking for the Alchemical Items section. (Luckily, I know it's not in the Potions subsection of the Consumables subsection, because I happen to know it can be crafted by alchemists. So yay?) But nothing on page 575 indicates where I am in relation to the Alchemical Items. Instead, I have to flip backward, page to page, to see that I am currently in the "Held Items" subsection. Then I have to search for the start of the Alchemical Items section. Then after that, I need to page forward past the Bombs to get to the Elixirs section.
If I had been looking for Goggles of Night and had flipped open to this same page 575, I would need to think to myself that I'm currently in the "Held Items" subsection, and that Goggles of Night are worn so therefore I need to page forward from Rod of Wonder (which is after it alphabetically) in order to find the section with the Goggles of Night.
I know that rearranging content would be horrible for page references from current printings. But changing the sidebar (and adding a reference on some pages of what subsection of the chapter it's in) as an immediate change would be so, so helpful!
And are there still no plans to make the Core Rulebook hyperlinked?

It true, though, that the magi item section feels especially disorganized. Whenever I have to find an item I end up flipping back and forth between the various subsections of items for far too long, trying to remember in which section the item belongs and where in the book that subsection is subsection. I'd really have preferred all item simply in alphabetical order.
