books purchased from game store

I recently purchased the 2e Core Rulebook from a local gaming store. Is there a way I can register my purchase with Paizo so that I may get the Fantasy Grounds ruleset.

I believe you can only do that with the PDF, which you can only get from the Paizo site.

Only purchasing the PDF allows partners to offer a reduction in price for their own digital products. Once you link your accounts between FG and Paizo, if you buy the rule set from FG at full price then it will automatically grant you the PDF on your paizo account. If you buy the PDF first and go to the FG store afterwards (assuming again the accounts are linked) then you should find that FG is discounted by the price of the PDF.

Either method you’re paying the same amount though, absent sales or coupon codes on either end. Purchasing a physical book, even directly from paizo, doesn’t impact anything I said above—only the PDF does.
