Looking for 2e character creation (online and free)

Pathfinder Second Edition General Discussion

Looking to create new characters for fun
(will not be playing any time soon)

Wondering if any sites or programs are up and running with 2E character creation
But only want free

I'm not sure if it qualifies as being 'online' but the Pathbuilder2e app for Android might serve your needs.

2e.aonprd.com is the SRD that has everything for free online. Would probably need to look at the rules section there to find the creation rules section.

+1 for pathbuilder. David Wilson is a saint. The current version does not have any of the Errata presented in that twitch video, so wizards will have an extra feat, but it will get updated as soon as an official errata is available.

The errata in the Twitch video are incomplete summaries -- there are some ambiguities in figuring out exactly how to apply them to the core rules.

HeroLab, free to make 1st level characters.

Redditor darthmarth28 has posted a PF2 Google Sheet here.

TOS 2nd CORE edition is'nt free, but it's one heck of a powerful product! I am about to release the next build, which adds Dynamic Play!

This will allow players to activate spells and condition on the fly while they are at the gaming table. With support for the stacking rules and the ability to create custom content, TOS 2nd CORE edition is most likely the best character manager you'll find for Pathfinder 2nd edition!

If you get serious about playing PF2, then you have a serious option to handle your PCs!

The Only Sheet

I'm adding another vote for Pathbuilder2e. I learned the game playing with that app while reading the book.

Since you are obviously the person(s) behind the sheet: Is there any demo version available? How do the printouts look? Which options are included or will be included in the future?

It being Excel ONLY is what killed it for me.

Pathbuilder is nice but CRB-only I fear.

Not quite. From what I can see it includes material from both the Age of Ashes AP and the Lost Omens World Guide.

Good to hear. Last time I tried it, like 2 or 3 weeks ago, it didn't. Great for them if they keep on updating it :-)

If you're building just for fun, try this simple house rule to prevent all stats from being even:

Chose four different starting ability scores that are less than 18 and add one to each (four - as that's the average of 1d6 stats).
Remember: no stat can be more than 18 at 1st level per page 20 of the Core book.

Pathbuilder2e is good and is the one I generally use. It has both Android app and browser-based site.

I have also used Wanderer's Guide and liked it well enough. It is browser-based only as far as I know.

Both have free and paid versions. Pathbuilder2e doesn't give access to pets such as Familiars and Eidolons in the free version. Wanderer's Guide only lets you have 6 characters at a time in the free version.

Pathbuilder2e!! We are a new group getting ready for the first play 2E and it helped us a lot translating our PF1 knowledge into PF2 without having to read all the rules.

Everyone has made 3 characters to pick between for when we start our AP.

Since it hasn’t been said yet: Pathbuilder has the content from every single 2e release on it. Free Archetype is restricted to the (dirt cheap!) paid version, but you can go wild with everything else - knock yourself out with Vampire Android Gunslingers to your heart’s content.
