Best To Hit Bonus in PF2*

Advice

Not considering magic items or ability scores, what is the best bonus to attacks with weapons a character can get? Is it +8 for Legendary Proficiency?

What else is there?

Buffs. Heroism for a +3 status bonus is the highest, I think.

Also, since mutagens aren't technically magical, I'd add the highest bestial mutagen for a +4 item bonus (i.e. more than a magic weapon can grant).

-That's Fighter (only) for Legendary Proficiency, +8 w/ no fluff.

-Divine/Occult for that 9th level Heroism (not available to Fighter, though they could get +2 via a casting Dedication.)
-A really, really expensive mutagen, so likely only via an Alchemist to use it daily. A Dedication's highest would fall behind a weapon's bonus.

And hopefully somebody casting mental wards on the Fighter so he doesn't turn on the party that just super-buffed them!

Also, many Fighter feats (or others via MCD) help w/ MAP, to keep the attack bonus high across several actions/Strikes.

The other martial classes get other bonuses a Fighter can't, i.e. damage, Flurry, or lower MAP. Accuracy is the Fighter's shtick, as well as action (& Reaction) efficiency via Fighter feats.
So don't expect other classes or options to ever get Legendary unless willing to trade it for their current offensive shtick.

Thank you both.

So, there's nothing that a fighter could do just via the Fighter class and/or feats to get beyond +8 to hit? Even with just one weapon?

Was thinking that I might've missed something.

Thanks, again.

Bow Fighter have the best I think.

Domain power Competitive Edge, it gives +2 status to attack rolls, but if an enemy manages to score a critical hit this increases to +4.

Incredible Aim for +2 Circumstance Bonus

Quicksilver Mutagen for +4 item bonus instead of +3.

There are very few +'s in pf2 beyond the base scaling.

If teammates work.
I think Crit Success at Aid is worth mentioning. Depending on their profiency, the bonus is fairly nice. Additionally after a point DC 20 is relatively easy to maintain.
"Critical Success You grant your ally a +2 circumstance bonus to,the triggering check. If you’re a master with the check you, attempted, the bonus is +3, and if you’re legendary, it’s +4."

Although master in combat is relatively restricted. Depending on the sitaution the GM might let you roll a skill which could net you a higher profiency. Which is a strong hope for my Alchemist off hand since they only get to expert in combat.\

Ranger's Hunter's aim helps with ranged weapon +2 circ.
(remember bonuses don't stack with the same kinds)

Hmm, if you Critical Demoralize someone and somehow keep it on, thats a +1 or +2 penalty to their AC, and then you can pick up Dread Striker from Rogue for another +2 because of flat-footed.

You do realize that legendary proficiency is +8 + your level, right?

To add extr in case~
Profiencies.
Untrained 0+nothing (baring special abilties or feats. Plenty of these)
Trained lv+2
expert lv+4
master lv +6
Legendary lv +8

Well assuming I remembered that right anyway.

True Strike gives some kind of a 5e advantage mechanic... that is pretty similar to a +4.

20 level
08 Legendary Proficiency
07 Strength or Dexterity 24
04 mutagen
04 aid (from legendary ally)
03 heroism
46 TOTAL to hit (with reroll from true strike)

Use debuffs to make enemy flat-footed and otherwise penalize their AC.

That's about as good as it gets I think.

Absolutely.

I am interested in the topic due to the very probable homebrewing that our group will do. So, confirming how many plusses should be available by bonus type is important to me.
